Florida Panthers Lose Fourth Straight 3-0 To Buffalo Sabres
Now, usually I try to be a nice guy. I don’t say cocka poopy and I don’t say bad words, but I’m going to tell you what. If the Panthers lose the Buffalo, they can shove it up their ass because they got to start winning some games. Come on, you big dummies. Let’s go Panthers. Let’s go Panthers. Let’s go Panthers. Let’s go. Let’s go Panthers. Let’s go Panthers. Let’s go Panthers. Let’s go. All right, Panther fans. Here we go. No, no, no ring. No, I know. Until they win again, there’s no ring. So, we got the S. We got the Savers today. Now, [Applause] just win the game. Just just seriously, just win the game. I I shouldn’t be saying this after two cups and six games. And I understand like we’ve started slow the last several years and that’s all fine, well, and good. Um, looks like Maurice is figured out the lines. And hopefully he leaves him there for a couple of minutes with Lundelle Marian Lucin as the top line. And then I actually kind of like that Rodriguez with Boquist and Samich line and get the other guys going. Bennett, Reinhardt and uh Brahi. Those are the guys. Those are the guys. Bennett is like a minus 50 at this point. And none of those guys have really been what we need them to be. Those are the guys. Barkov’s out. Kachchuck is out. Okay. You can’t just count on Marshian to carry it. You can’t count on Savage Scavenage to to have all the energy. Bennett, Vhagi, Reinhardt, those are the guys. Get your heads out of your asses, please. Because if you don’t, soon what’s going to start happening is that Glad’s going to start trying to do too much, getting caught, and then it’s going to get worse. So, let’s just nip it in the bud. Bubba, you might have to do the thing today because these guys ain’t scoring So, just give me the two points. I don’t care if it’s two to one. I prefer like 10 to nothing, something like that. But just you cannot lose a fourth straight on the road to start the season and it’s against Buffalo. No, no, and no. You also should be taking a nap. It’s Saturday afternoon. Why are you playing hockey? This time of the day is reserved to watch the Dolphins suck. All right, let’s do this. [Music] So to perfectly encapsulate actually all three games we’ve lost and the first period here where it’s one- nothing Buffalo, we’ve had three power plays. Panthers have three power plays in the period plus we just got a power play basically with 20 seconds left to start the second period. Three power plays. We don’t have any goals. Buffalo had one power play and one shot and it went in. We can’t score. We can’t score now. Hopefully, please for the love of God, Paul, just leave the lines the same. We don’t look bad. We don’t look bad. What we are missing, Panther fans, what we’re missing is that moment where you see them turn it back on. How many times have we seen them play right and then inside of a game or after a couple of games of a losing streak we see them come out and they’re heavy with the forche and you’re like this is the Panthers now they’re dominating. I don’t know if we have the ability to do that without Barkoff and Kachchuck. Thus far it doesn’t look like we do. Um and so it’s going to be a lot of games like this which means you have to score in your power plays. You have to make the most of your opportunities. And for the love of God, let’s give this kid that we picked up from Ottawa a chance because Bolinskus somehow I think is getting worse as the games go on. Let’s move on to second period. [Music] Clap touch hat. It’s three nothing Buffalo after two. One cup, two cups. Insert five minute rant about how we look the same as the last three games. Should I save it for the post game? What if we come back and win? Now, in the past, if you watched the last recap, usually when I rant and and and moan and groan and complain in the second period, the team will come out in the third period, look really great, and make me look stupid for what I said in the second period. So, yeah, I know. I know it’s no big deal. It’s early in the season, but come on now. Come on now. We can’t pretend like well we have looked like this before but usually it’s about mid to late January February out in Western Canada and we’ll have three or four sometimes even five games in a row where we look just look absolutely like dead like ran out of gas no for check no energy we usually do will look like that with this I mean we got one goal in the last two games and two period two goals got two goals in the last two games and two periods and the bottom line is is this is how I think we’re going to look until we start getting our guys back. We have to find ways to put the puck in the back of the net. I think in the first period alone, Samuskevich had 10 shot attempts. So, you got Samuskevich, you got Mar Shan, and that’s it. I mean, Bennett, Verhigi, Reinhardt, they may as well be, they may as well be sitting and resting. Like, at this point, you may as well have a second line of DolP and Divine, and you would be getting the same offensive production. Do you understand what I’m saying? You would be getting the same offensive production out of those guys. Put make it make it sash with Divine and St. Martin and you would be getting the same level of offensive production as Bennetty Reinhardt. They may as well just be sitting and resting for the imaginary playoff run should we make it. It’s bad. Now, why did we look good in the first three games of the year? We look like this. I don’t know. It’s a little early in the year for a slump because we started off looking good. Like, if we looked bad from the beginning, but we look good. We look like ourselves. Aaron Ecklat’s talking about it’s a welloiled machine. The Sabres, it’s 3 nothing. And let’s be honest, it’s three nothing. It could easily easily be five, six or more nothing. It’s bad. It’s and we don’t even look that bad, but it’s just bad. So, can we get a goal? We got We’ve got like I think our sixth power play here to start the third period. We have five power plays and we have no goals. Please, just just can we I hate to say it, but can we make it? I can’t believe I’m sitting here on a Saturday afternoon in October with two cup signs begging, “Please, can we get to overtime against the Sabres?” [Music] Okay, let’s do this. Can we get better? One more. That was good. That was good. Oh, that echoed. All right. Uh, one cup, two cups. I have a feeling I’m going to be saying that a lot this year to to remind us to remind us Panther fans that one cup, two cups now. Yeah. Jesus. First road game against the Flyers. Like, ah, whatever. Okay. Da da da da da. figured they’d come back out the second game, looked decent. That did not happen. Come on. They’re not gonna lose back to back on the road and then that happened. And then it’s like, we’re not going to lose a game to the S. We’re not going to lose four in a row start the season to the Savers. Right. Right. Right. Not only did we lose crickets three nothing Buffalo and it easily like I said at least at least I want to say five nothing but really six really six with the a post and a couple of insane Babroski saves at least two that was a six nothing 7 nothing absolute you can’t say ass kicking I think we led the game in shots this is so weird weird how we’re losing these games. But what we’re not seeing is that moment I talked about where we see them look like themselves and they’re picking it up and the forch check. It’s just not there. Bennett, Reinhardt, Vagy, I’m not even kidding. I’m not even kidding. I think we might have the cap space to do it to just put them all on two weeks of IR. Two weeks of IR and Sasha and St. Martin and Divine, any of the other kids that you want to see. Studa, anybody. Anybody else? And just and just give give Bennett and those guys another couple of weeks off because they kind of clearly need it. um one game, two games of looking like that, slow start, etc., etc. But this is four games now where they look absolutely gassed, disinterested, and I know there’s, you know, we’re streaming every game, so we see a lot of the different fan opinions. And there’s those that say, “Don’t worry about it. We’re going to get it figured out.” But then there’s others that are like, why are you even surprised? Have you seen this team play without Barkoff before? And that assessment is not inaccurate. And now, but there’s a middle ground here. Okay, there is a middle ground. Yes, missing Barkoff and Kachchuck, especially Barkoff is a huge is a huge loss. But are you telling me the difference between bark off in or out is one cup, two cups versus getting shut out by Buffalo? Now, another thought I had was uh let’s see, Bennett, Reinhardt, Verhagy, those three. Was there anybody else? Well, basically those three guys. um they all for Haggy not as much but definitely Bennett and Reinhardt took less money that they could have gotten on the open market and I think we’re starting to see the um intelligence in that move for those players from the sense of wanting to win because without Barkov I don’t know Reinhardt’s a 50 goal scorer Ray is a 40th goal scorer now Bennett can usually take care of his own and drive his play, but without Kachchuck, nothing. Nothing. Nothing. And that’s not an exaggeration. It’s nothing. So, what’s the answer? And I think that’s that’s the hard part here because when you look at the roster, the answer is they have to play harder. They have to play harder. Now, we’re getting some chances. There’s definitely no puck luck. It was definitely a half dozen times where the rebound was just out of the reach of this guy and just bounced the wrong way. Sam, I mean, Samavage, this poor kid. I know he’s not putting the puck in the back of the net, but him and Marshian are basically doing everything else that they can possibly do to create plays, create offense, and create things happening. And just there’s a couple times when Samuel’s coming into the puck into the zone with the puck and he’s just he’s so fast and he’s creating so much havoc in front of the net and nobody else is there like like he comes in, he takes the shot, there’s the rebound and there still is not another Panther that’s you can see on the camera. So here’s what we know. Let’s let’s talk about the good so far. Bubba Bubba’s played well. Terrace off has played well. Certainly, these guys are keeping us in these games. Goalending, we’re good. Okay. Defensively. Now, it’s a little bit of a mixed bag. We Oh, yeah. Let’s not forget Mik is hurt now. I think he’s going to be okay. I kind of felt like when he fell, he hit his head on the ice. He looked a little bit dazed. I get the feeling it was the concussion spotter that took him off the ice and then passed that. Maybe he passed his test and by the time he would have come back it was three nothing and Maurice said, “You know what? Give those minutes to Petri and Bolinskus and just sent him the rest of the game for precaution.” I would that would be my best guess. So I don’t think I’m too worried about Mika. But defensively, I mean, the the games have been 2-1, 3-1, three nothing. We’re now losing these games seven to three. The defense, while it doesn’t look spectacular, the defense is not the problem. The problem is a lack of energy and no for check. We create most of our offense off the for check and causing that chaos and exhausting the other teams, not you know getting them to where they don’t want to play physical because what did Paul say last year? Pound the D so they got nothing left in game seven. We ain’t pounding nothing but sand at this point. So the question that none of us are going to know the answer to. We won’t know the answer. To me, I know some people say 15 games, 20 games. Okay. Okay. We won’t know the answer to the question of are they really completely gassed or is this just a slump? We’re not going We I mean, this is four bad games in a row. So, we got Boston on Tuesday. I would bet the house that they’re going to beat the crap out of Boston, but I would have bet the house that they would have beat the crap out of Buffalo today. We keep waiting for that wake up moment. But the problem is we don’t know if they actually genuinely have the energy to do that. We are going to find out soon. Now, good news, bad news. Bad news is you need to get some points in some of these games. The good news is Lightning are struggling. Ottawa is a mess right now, especially with Kachchuck. So, yeah, you do have Montreal and Detroit up there at the top, but in terms of playoff race and all of that there, we’re not in any danger of being like waking up from our slump and being, you know, five, seven points out of a playoff spot. Luckily, we won those first three games, but at some point, not getting a point. I mean, not getting a point out of the back to back between Detroit and New Jersey. Not getting a point out of Philadelphia or I mean or or or um Buffalo today. Like, you have to get some of these games to overtime. It’s one thing you got the injuries and you’re struggling and you’re that’s all fine, but at the end of the season, all the times that you’re not getting points will add up. And I’ll say it. I’ll say I mean, I said in a video, I made a video over the summer. I think Montreal would had a good chance of winning the division just by default. I didn’t think Florida would have the energy. I didn’t think Tampa would have the energy. And the only other team in the division I think that could match the energy of the of the Canadians is is Toronto. And they’re trying to figure out what they are without Mner. So I I I’m I’m half joking, half not when I say I’m conceding the division to the Canadians. They’re a good young team and they have the energy and you’ve seen it. We saw it a little bit last year during the regular season against the Canadians. They swept us, right? Why? cuz we just weren’t interested. Those games against the Canadians where they were just hounding us and on top of us and forchecking and just being all over us every time we had our have every time we had the puck on our stick. That’s exactly what we’ve seen these last four games. And it’s not about the talent level that should be on paper a disparity between our team and some of these other teams. It’s about the energy expenditure. If any team, these are NHL players, you these are professional teams, and if they’re going to make the decision to play our style of game against us, and we are not going to answer the call, we are going to lose those games. Now, in the past, because we’ve had a full roster for the most part, we’ve been able to eek out a point here, a point there, a point there, win a game that Babroski stole, you know, two to one that maybe we shouldn’t have been able to do, but we’re way too I mean, Barov, Kachchuck, Nosik, the fourth line is is invisible. Fourth line is invisible right now. Okay. And then you throw in Kulakov, you got Bolinskus out there. Bolinskus is not he’s not the problem, but he’s also just the turnover machine and we just continuously lose possession when that bottom pair is on the ice and all those little things are adding up to what you see. And I don’t know the answers have to be on the roster. It’s as simple as that. Because if we continue to lose four games in a row with no points, we won’t it won’t matter when Kachchuck comes back in January, we will have been far out of a playoff spot by that point. You have to get points in these games. So, while I understand some people say, “Don’t worry about it. You know, we’ll be okay. They’ll figure it out.” Yeah, but we still have to get some points while we’re figuring it out. But you at least have to stay on the pace of, you know, 20 games, 20, 25 points. We’re now it’s seven games with six points, right? Yeah. We’re now at seven games with six points. You got to get points against Boston. You can’t start falling too far behind the eightball because we’re going to have to play some better teams. We’re not even I mean, not that these teams are bad, Buffaloish, but what about we got to play Vegas and and we got um I know we got I think we got the Kings coming up. I know we got the Ducks coming up. They’re not a bad team. You know what I mean? And that’s the other part to this is these other teams, they can play this heavier, more forceful style against us because they don’t have to play all 82 games. and we do to be successful. And so I don’t know what the face off percentages were today. That seems to have been gotten been getting a little bit better. We were having some chances, but we’re not having sustained offensive zone time at all. It’s so many ones and dons. And you know, yes, Lundell is a is a really good player and we know what he can do, especially at 3C, but we’re expecting offensive output for some players that haven’t really shown that they can do it on a regular basis. Lindell can get you some goals. Looster Ryan can get you some goals, right? But we’ve got that going on in the top. Basically, Marian can only do so much. He only can create so much at 37. And the Rodriguez Boquest Samuskevich line again the same thing. You see Samuskevich all over the place. But I don’t remember call I mean Boquist and Rodriguez are as invisible. The exact same thing I said last game. Rodriguez and Boquist are as invisible as top nine players can possibly be while still being on the ice. And so it’s just such a cumulative thing. You’re getting nothing out of the fourth line. You’re not even getting you’re not even getting um you know like a like a Lombberg moment to go out there and hit somebody and get some get some energy flowing from from Greer Gajovich just not getting anything. And so I don’t think they’re going to do it against Boston and especially if we lose to Boston. I mean I’m not kidding. And I know it’s never going to happen. I know it’s never going to happen, but I would I would sit some guys and and put in an AHL player here or there because why not? If we get to where we lose five in a row, we if we go 0 for five with no points on the road trip, something you have to make some kind of change slashstatement if you’re Maurice because you can only keep going back to the same nine guys over and over again. We have two goals in the last three games. And I think if you go back, if you go, how many goals did we get against Philadelphia? Did we get two? So that would be four goals in the five in the four games. I believe that’s what we have is four goals in the four games. So like I said, same thing as the last game. Not going to panic. not going to panic, but we have to get points. We’re expecting offense from guys where I just don’t know if we’re going to get it. Um, oh god. I don’t know. I don’t know. They have to figure it out sooner than later. Now, I know some people feel like we’ve started slow before. Yeah, but that was with Barkoff. There’s a completely different team. It’s a completely different team without him. It ju it just is. And there’s there’s there’s no solution for it. Whatever this team is going to be, this version right now until Barkov comes back, they’re not going to be able to emulate the success that they’ve had in the same manner with the same structure. And this is where Maurice is going to have to coach. Okay? because they’re it seems as though they’re trying they’re attempting to get the same type of the same type of style and system and structures they had with Barkov without him. And it’s just not going to happen. He’s he’s going to have to make some kind of adjustments. Now, it seems as though right now what adjustments he’s made is to lean more heavily on defense. I don’t know because I’m not a coach, but what I know is there’s no forche. And that’s where most of our offense has come from in the past, especially on games that we start getting three or four goals. It’s cuz the forche is stealing the puck and and we have the puck in the offensive zone all over the place. And Bennett looks gassed. Reard looks gassed. Verigy looks like he’s got a 50 lb weight behind him when he’s skating. like when they are having to chase the puck, those three players especially, when they’re having to to chase the puck, if you watch their body language, the first step, their first one or two strides, it’s like, “All right, let’s go. Let’s let you know what I mean? It’s like, okay, like you’re getting up out of the bed after a long afternoon nap, and you’re just like, okay, let me get out of the bed.” That’s how they look. That’s how they look. and me one cup, two cups. I mean, it might not be this might be it. This might be it. I mean, and that’s the reality that, you know, I’m not giving up. I’m not saying we’re definitely going to miss the playoffs or anything, but without Barkoff, without Kachchuck, without both of those guys, this might be how we’re going to look. Might not be a slump. Now, can we figure out some things to get some offense, some a little bit more offense? Sure. Um, my suggestion honestly would be I know it’s never going to happen, but I would honestly you you you see where Samus is is um creating some chances. You see where Marshian is creating some chances. These are the guys with some energy. So maybe I don’t know Stanica Divine get somebody in the lineup that still has some legs, okay, that might be able to create some havoc and and push the play a little bit and and just, you know, sit a veteran here or there because it ain’t working. It ain’t They just look so burnt out and I mean, obviously, if that’s what it is, I would think that Maurice knows it. There’s a reason. There’s a reason why um they decided to give the veterans that one extra week of just, you know, working out by themselves and not put them in training camp that first week. There’s a reason why Maurice isn’t going to come out there and say, “These guys are gassed. They all are, you know, they’re exhaust.” He’s not going to say that. But you have to look at the actions of what’s happening. And so there’s a real possibility without Barkoff and without Kachchuck that this is how we’re going to look. We, you know, we’re going to win some games. There’s going to be some nights where we can get to two or three goals and win at 3 to2. Um, they’re going to have to figure it out. They’re going have to figure it out. There’s nothing coming from that blad. There’s nothing coming from Forsling. There’s no, you know, no goals. I think Egg Glenn had a goal in the first game, but there there’s nothing coming from the blue line at all. And those guys are chasing more often than not. That’s it, man. That’s it. I’m going to go enjoy the rest of my Saturday. This is is this a shame. It’s unfortunate. um worst case scenar worst worst case scenario in the world is that they’re gassed and we miss the playoffs and everybody comes back healthy next year and we still have a core of a team that could at least win another couple of cups. That’s the worst case scenario. Now, inside of each game, I’ll get frustrated and give an honest assessment of what I think is and isn’t happening. And I’m gonna at some point, yeah, you might hear a rant or two, right? Because I’m, you know, volatile that way. But in the grand scheme of things, if they miss the playoffs and everybody comes back rested and completely ready and healthy next year and they’re and they’re ready and good to go and they look like themselves, I mean, okay, three, there’s a reason why nobody’s three repeated. I mean, even the football with the Chiefs got absolutely destroyed. There’s a reason why. And we made it to three straight finals in a row. You You know what I mean? So, I’m not saying it for sure yet, but you know, open your mind to the possibility cuz the it’s the guys don’t look good. Our guys that have been here for the three runs don’t look good. They look absolutely gassed. So, either they’re gassed or they’re what? Starting slow, like not really getting into the, you know what I mean? They’re still in preeason mode. I don’t know. We’re going to find out here in the next week or two, you know what I mean? What what they have left in the tank. So, that’s it. Um, so tomorrow, it will not be a live stream. There will not be a noon stream tomorrow because Dolphins play at 1:00. So, there’s that. Thank you everybody for hanging out with us on the live streams. Really, really appreciate all the super chats. You guys are what makes this all happen. Go enjoy the rest of your Saturday. It’s only four in a row. Maybe we can beat the crap out of Boston. If we can get two points and salvage that, we’ll feel better. But you can guarantee one thing is for sure, and that is the Bruins are going to be salivating at the chance after they see what we’ve been doing this week.

We don’t wantEGG PLANT BACK. He is doing good rn. No changes please for the luv of God!
I knew it Panthers never win a game on the weekends when they start @ 1pm. They will lose to Boston on Tuesday n make it 0-5 on the road. Looks like Bobby lost 2 in a row on the road when he starts a game
I remember hearing Jaws mark this game as a win in the game recap from Jersey. This is kinda on him…
This is gonna be a long long long season! Pond hockey not even beer league!😂😂😂
I do agree with you Jaws, with the answers having to be on the roster and everything else. I do genuinely hope that both Motte and Studnicka can play on the main roster. I really hope that it does happen because they really could use some energy guys on the ice. I’m a little bit worried but I mean it’s what it’s at this point tbh.
Were so screwed in Boston. Total shit show it will be. Oh my God they all got dream contracts n stayed together. They could not even push a fart over the goal line. 🥜🙀😂😂😂
no paaaaanic
Do your job! Rant
Said it during the stream, those deals of signing benny ekbad and Marchand isn't looking good at all right now. Should of spent that money on some new blood, The Injury stuff is an excuse, every team gets injuries, these guys don't even look like they know each other much less being 2 time cup winners. Watch how crisp some of the other top teams look around the league. Boston will absolutely demolish them tues.
They are out of sorts. No one is stepping up man
Faceoffs 50 50
Sit the entire 4th line bring up studnika scwindt and Gregor
The team isn’t as good when Barkov and Tkachuk are playing. Barkov makes the game more simple and right now I’m seeing more players trying too much. Bennett is hitting so many players that he’s not focused on playing defense. He’s got more minus than points. Also there is no solid forcheck in the offensive end. I’m not saying that this team isn’t making the playoffs and who knows. They could play better than the first few games. We have seen this before, the core is still there but Tkachuk was the reason they had the sustainable culture and that relentless effort though out the roster that we used to see all the time in the regular season and playoffs. It’s October so I don’t think Panther fans should press the panic button now. There’s tons of hockey to be played and if it’s a wild card then so be it but just be mindful that this team has played so much hockey. At some point it takes massive effects on the players who have been on the Panthers during their cup runs. I think that there are already players who are still having trouble dealing with an injury and they don’t want to be out of the lineup because they don’t want to disappoint the team on being on IR and not being able to make a impact.
We’re out of gas boys is ok… sometimes you just gotta take a step back
This is frustrating, we took Barkov and Tkachuk for granted, is this team seriously that bad without them?
Just watched the Reino interview. He sounds sick af. Maybe the team’s sick?

This is showing why Barkov is their franchise player. He's not very flashy offensively, but he's a 6'3" 215 lb point per game center that dominates the Face-off dot and possession anytime he has the puck. He shuts down anybody and he makes is so that everyone else is slotted where they fit best. Bennett cant do it and Lundell is 24 and just not at that level yet.
At best this 2023 again and we squeezed in the playoffs at the last moment.
The team isn't the same without Barkov and Tkachuk. Its gonna be a long season. No doubt the players are just as mad as the fanbase.
at least it can’t get any worse
The EA Curse
It certainly is frustrating to watch, but it really puts into perspective just how bad it is to lose the anchors of your team, the guys you trust the most on and off the ice. It seems we still don't have the right mix of lines and the guys seem in a rut right now. We just gotta anchor this rough patch, I won't panic yet as sometimes teams can go through highs and lows, and some start slow. But this a roster that knows success and a coaching staff that has been and to adjust and navigate through spells, we've been spoiled recently with the highest degree of success, let's practice some patience right now.
Though it does need to be said, we need more from guys like Reinhart, Verhagae, and especially Bennett. Lundell and Mackie have gotten some good looks so far, team definitely needs to improve on finishing or maybe all the misses will regress back to the mean and go in, one thing is for sure, it gets a bit annoying that every goalie we go against seem to play their top 10% game they will all season lol.
Panthers look like they are trying not to get hurt long season we will be ok
they lost because the Sabres would have beaten anybody in the league today..fans that think the Sabres are an easy 2 points are in for a total awakening this year..if the Sabres didnt have 5 regulars out the first few games the start would have been much better
early game against a terrible opponent of course the boys werent gonna show up. watch them bring it against Vegas next week and stop this skid. would be typical panthers
Love your videos and the passion you have for our Panthers. If there is any team that can overcome adversity, it's our Panthers.
