Orlando Magic’s offense shines again in preseason win

This is Philip Rossman Reich, the host of Lockdown Magic as the Orlando Magic remained perfect in the preseason with a win over the Miami Heat. And the story of this game is going to be the offense. The Orlando Magic’s offense has been pretty good. They entered Sunday’s game fourth in the league and offensive rating for whatever that’s worth in the preseason. They scored another 62 points in the first half. Fron Zagger had 13 of his 17 points in the second quarter window. Carter had 10 early points. And the Magic’s offense is flowing and moving. The question is whether this newfound pace, this newfound rhythm, even with the Magic not shooting particularly well from three is something that’s going to continue on into the regular season. As everybody knows, the Orlando Magic have been one of the worst offensive teams of the last decade. They haven’t been outside the bottom 10 in offensive rating since Dwight Howard was here in 2012. Of course, the addition of Desmond Bane was meant to add some offense and add some add some shooting to this team that they desperately desperately needed. And so far it feels so good for the Orlando Magic in the preseason. They’re scoring. They’re getting offensive rebounds. They’re putting the ball in the basket even if the shots aren’t going down.   1. If you look at the last couple seasons our preseason offense has been representative of what we saw in during the respective season. This all points to positive signs for this upcoming season!!
