Blame Nylander on that play all you want but that was a really shit pass attempt with a very low chance of success in OT by Matthews. Luck was not on our side and Seattle played with incredible intensity as all teams seem to when visiting Toronto.

Braindead set play by Matthews and Nylander instantly losing possession. You just sat on the bench for 95 seconds you could have controlled play for 90 seconds.
Not loving how sloppy and slow we look to start the season. Seem to have trouble with the breakout and getting o-zone pressure, let alone sustaining it.
Early in the season but they gotta figure it out sooner than later.

At least we secured the necessary point and at least other teams like the Habs, Panthers, and Lightning lost in regulation. Onto the next one, Leafs Nation.
That 3rd period was so sloppy. Giveaways and turnovers everywhere.

The Leafs trailed 3 separate times in regulation and played a pretty sloppy game in general. Happy to even get a point out of this game.

Came back three times and outshot and out chanced them. Still got the point too.

I like that cowans on the team but I don’t like how they just switch Willy onto the first line and don’t let Cowan touch the ice all third.
Team is playing mostly well but LOTS of little mistakes in our game that need to be cleaned up. I think Chief will right the ship. The boys have the talent and all the pieces, but we need a full 60 minute effort mentally.
We didn’t deserve to win that one anyway. Seattle is not that good and they outplayed us most of the game.
I feel most bad for Stolie who would take a bullet for his teammates and they … well… won’t
Core 3 laziness in OT took us out
Joshua and Cowan looked good tonight and ofc our goat Johnny T with 500 pts with the leafs

Cowan should play more. I don’t see what other good change is possible, outside trade deadline move. Danford is too young, but hopefully gets bottom pair spot next season.
I don’t love the set play they tried in OT that immediately lost possession. Nylander was obviously pretty gassed on the GWG, would have liked to see them control the puck and find a better opportunity.

Close game, if Joshua or Robertson could’ve put in their wide open net chances, maybe those could’ve been the difference. I’ll take a point out of a game that we were trailing 3 separate times though
What the fuck is wrong with Carlo? Isn’t the bruins brand supposed to be “big and bad”? How the fuck he just stands there after a mfer took an intentional run into his goalie? It’s unbelievable.
Well Seattle has won 2 in a row. Then Toronto won 2 in a row. Now Seattle has one 2 in a row. Guess that means Toronto will win 2 in a row…..
Eh, at least we got a point. Macelli needs to find a spot in the lineup, he looks totally lost out there.
Really like Nic Roy. He makes a lot of smart defensive plays and is excellent along the boards and makes smart stick plays. I see why Vegas played him with the big boys when Stone got injured.
Cowan was noticeable out there in a good way. Don’t like that he barely saw any ice time in the 3rd.
Im sorry but Macelli is dogshit. He’s basicially Robertson out there except it that passing that he’s good at. Doesnt provide anything else. I love Cowan but he’s not a first line player yet and is better suited for the third line.

Carlo on that third goal. That’s not a hockey play. If he just ties up the stick or gets in front of him that’s a blocked shot and it doesn’t even get through. So dumb.
Is it just me or does the rest of the team seem to always shit the bed whenever Tavares has a multi-goal game?
I lost count of how many times I said “what the fuck are you doing?!” tonight.. Mostly for plays in the defensive zone. Gotta clean up the brain farts, geez.
