NHL Highlights | Flames vs. Golden Knights | October 18, 2025

Our opening faceoff is sponsored by the Richard
Harris Law Firm. The Jack Eel line against the Nazum Cavary line are underway from Vegas
for the Golden Knights. One change. Cole Reinhardt picked up his first goal of Denish the
other night. He’s out for this one. Pass out in front to Mer. He scores. Nick Martner from Ivan
Barers and Mner has his first goal of the night. That’s going to feel good for Mart. A good
defensive play. Nice little break out as Eel. He’s just going to get in. Watch the route
Eel takes. He’s going to force the reverse on ball. Barbashev reads it. Intercepts it from
Weaguer and he centers to Martner and he rips it blocker side upstairs. Great for check goal.
The Golden Knights have the lead on Mars off a three to one loss in Utah Wednesday. Shot
from the wing and he’ll juggle that a little bit as fired on net by Sam Hosnik. The loss
in their last game in Utah and Jonathan Hubo said his season debut tonight. Bad plays it out
top for Waguer. Out down low. Hubo backhands it across. Wake blocked it but it’s jammed home by
Hoover. Jonathan Hubo in his first game of the season cashes on a power play to tie it. Now
he tried a little back. Here’s the play down low and Hubo. There’s the play and it goes
off the skate of White Cloud off of Hill and then right back to Hubo as Lozan can’t get a
stick on him as he’s able to shovel it across the line. A good second effort by Hubo to tie this
game up as the power play makes short work for the Flames. Now down low for Cadri. Works it
low to high. Perk with a wrist shot handled by Hill. Chopping away from Bean. Blocked. Loose
puck to Z. Perk. Marner. Straight away. Eel. Michael is time for the league lead and power
play assist. Don’t save it. And Hurdle scores on a bang bang play. Tomas Hurdle with goals
and three in a row to give Vegas the lead. Oh, dangerous. They’re taking away the Doria
which you have to do. Pump movement as Eeko down low. You can see taking away that fast pass
as Hanley drops down. He’s he’s watching Doria and there’s Hurdle wide open in the slot right below
the hash mark. Stone so good off that goal line and Hurdle rips a glove side and the Golden
Knights answer back with a power play goal of their own. McKenzie Weager with a lead pass
to Morgan Frost. Pull check away by Theodore. saw the other way for the Golden Knights.
The wrist shot smothered by Wolf. Same team, nine years in Toronto and the adjustments here
in Vegas coming to his new team. Well, there is every player has their routine, superstitions,
whatever you want to call him. Right from warmup, you watch Martin take a while. Okay, what does
he do? 2-1 for the Golden Knights in the first. Michael Blin charging in. Throws it on net.
Hill squeezes tight. Control this draw. Corac wristing it on that. Wolf holds for the whistle.
Dayton Corsac and played out of danger by Wiger. Two center ice cadri. Three on three come the
Flames. Hubo beating it down. Lo and a save. Hill on Farbe. Nice setup by the Flames. Joel
Farbe with a redirect and Aiden Hill kept it out. Flames won’t be back here. That’s a ways down
the road in early April to wrap up the season series. Stone with a steel down low and
it goes back to Stone. He scores. What a lethal duo. Mark Stone’s first of the season
and the Golden Knights lead three to one. That first powerful stride and then Stone
gets in, keeps the puck alive over to Eel. He drives the net wide open lane as Eel
finds him for a tap in and Stone will get his first of the year. The captain on
the board and the Golden Knights up 3-1 as they continue to put up the points.
Another multi-point for both those players. What a start to the season.
Now Coronado on the wall and Weaguer straight away. Dadry sends it across.
Accelerate pass and Hill down low and may get a piece of that. Now Perk out
high and final little daylight. Drops it off. Sharon go rolls across. Still has it.
Shot off the crossbar. Flames pressuring. Carries it inside the Flame zone.
Drops it off towards Stone. Now it’s Eel. Dashing in the Stone and a save. Wolf Eel to Lozan. Long drive blocked by
Hubo right to Corjack. Shot. Score. Barberhell on the deflection of the Corona
shot and the Golden Knights lead four to one. A great pressure in this second period and
there’s the shot. Barbashev in front as he’s tied up with ball gets his stick on it just
enough to deflect it up over that right arm of Dustin Wolf. Good shot by Cororac at the
point. There’s the deflection right upstairs as the Golden Knights add one here on the
second to go up 4-1. Cross dishes it off. Michael picks it off. Michael looking to
break. Michael has a step. Michael short hand it to the net. Save Wolf. That speed of
Jack Eel. He’s being two flames up the ice. Winding it up. One to go. Michael lead past
the stone now. Martner cutting towards the net. Backhand score. Great patience by Mitch
Mner. His second goal tonight. This one on the power play and Vegas is up four. Now it’s on
display here. The quick pass up the little chip by Stone. And watch the heads while fighting off
the presence of the defenseman Big Kevin Ball. He fights it off back, drags it to the
backand and gets enough to elevate it over the pads of Wolves. Slow motion still
good, full speed. Incredible as Martner has his second of the game and the Golden
Knights two for two on the power play. Martner down low. Hurdle that means the Golden
Knights are on the stone in front. Hurdle corner rib off. score. Mark Stone buries it. His fourth
point of the night and the round is on in Vegas. Well, this power play is just so welloiled.
They last here second in the league. They’re these four guys down low. Their ability to make
plays. Stone attacks. Not everybody backs off and then Hurdle just finds a little bit of movement
to get open and then Stone Waguer just lets him take that and flip it in and the coverage in
front. See all the flames standing around. Stone gets a free puck and able to lift it in
his second of the night and this power shaking up. Couple of minutes to go. Now saw and hurdle
that looked to break saw to hurdle and oh the save hurdle charge hurdle looking for
their seventh goal of the game fans coming to their feet. The Golden
Knights with a dominant 6-1 win over Calgary.
