NHL Highlights | Stars vs. Blues – October 18, 2025
surrender four goals in a second period last game. Opening faceoff win by the Blues. We’re underway on a Saturday night hockey night in St. Louis. That puck into the Star zone cut off by Neighbors on a line with Thomas and Holloway. Pareo and Fowler. They shoot it on. Hotinger makes the save just 17 seconds into the hockey game. Rush pass over to Faulk. Came about waist high off the deflection. Hasting it in transition. Threeon two Dallas to the blue zone down low to Robertson glove save Bennington a lot this year. Here’s Miro Hastin the right defenseman. He’s going to jump up in the mix. He loves to play his offside. He’s a defenseman you’re going to see up in the mix quite a bit. What a little nifty pass right through the legs of Pablo Bush Navish to Robertson. Played for three teams last year before getting picked up by Dallas from Carolina. Stars will dump it on. And that’s Labushkin to the front of the net and a save there by Jordan Bennington. And hey, listen, sometimes you don’t get comfortable until you play two 300 games. The biggest key is not to lose your confidence. You can’t allow yourself to get discouraged. He’d be a good a guy to lead on from AU, too. Talk about a guy that’s played over a thousand games, guys. And like I mentioned, 9 minutes into this one, Dallas really has not had any opportunities in front of Bennington. They’ve got the three shots on goal to the Blues. One Stars in Wyatt Johnston put it to Bington who steered it away. Great block there by number 26. Yeah, Thomas will bring it out. Stars have given up two short-handed goals this year, but Nav tried to force it in the front. Thomas right there with a shot on. Rebound was sitting at the pad of Aer offense. Watch right here. Everyone’s in good lanes. Wonderful stick by Robert Thomas. Gets in the lane. Watch here. You put a button up. He’s going to wait for more traffic to come. He’s going to wait for support and then Bushnavich comes. Then he’s going to go to the net. We were talking about in the preing. You got to get to the inner slot. Watch where Thomas goes. He’s going to go right between the hash marks and pop Bush Nav just puts it up and sets it up on put it near corner. Faulk is there and no doubter getting it out of his own. I tell you sometimes early in the game you kill a penalty can really create so much momentum. Right now the St. Louis Blues are not giving the Stars a sniff on this power play. And it’s Kyoo coming the other way. Rick wide they go. Look out. Hit the skate of Rober Stars with numbers. Twoon one. Kessle defending in front, shooting it on. Bington makes the save in the defensive zone. Here are a couple clips. You’re going to see Matthew Castle ends up playing this twoon-one beautifully, but look at the help from Jordan Kyu. He works all the way back. That is a 200 stars into the blue zone. Steel bump, but the puck to Branson and up to the line. Lindell into traffic. Shot bounces way onto Bennington. Found it. Covered it. It’s in behind the net there. Bour back to Robertson and a good intercept by Butch Navic. They dump it off of Aer into the corner. Sudter Snugaroot and Butch Navic. Obl’s going to pick it up on the cycle to Snugaroo. Lindell’s on him. Down low. They go to Sudter. Come around to the near wing for Butch Navich. Floss it right back down low as Sudter. Sudter finding Butch Navic as he gets checked into there by Robertson and knocked down. Snugaroo gets in and Butch Navic is back up. They put it in front there to Sudter and a shot wide. A puck goes in behind the goal. And here’s Colton Pereo. Kyru clears it ahead. Joseph breakaway shooting and a save. Aer so many breakaways cuz he’s just so fast. Watch Kyru at the bottom of the screen. He’s going to pick his head up and then he’s going to just propel that puck forward almost 70 ft right on the tape of Joseph who tries going looked like he was trying to go low blocker here. Yes, just over the pad under the blocker. That’s a sweet spot for a goal scorer. And you’re going to see Jake to be pulling in at that age. And you know the wor you know the worst part about that is the puck drops on the second period is it’s hard to go up from that. So after 12, you’re like, I might as well retire as a fisherman. Another good play at the line by Broberg. Butch Navic over the line there with Snugaroo. Caught up in the skates of Hasten. And Johnston sends it ahead. Breakaway. Robertson shooting it and he let it go high. What a work back by number 25 there. He wheels it in. Tried to take it in on Bishop. The size of the defenseman. Skater him to the wall. Thomas or rather shen of the cycle to Kyu shoots. Score. It started with Kyu in the neutral zone. It ends with Kyru at the back of the net burying it. One- nothing St. Louis. Button up. A little exchange here with the captain Braden Shen. Finds a little soft area right in the middle. And just a beautiful shot underneath the left pad. Look at that stick work right there. He pulls it from the backhand to the forehand. Uses down to Braden Shen. Spins away from Bishel. Go back to even strength. The Blues don’t get a shot on goal on the power play, but they do right there where it ended. Snuggaroo put one on as that one was popped up into the air. A good save by Aer. And now at five on five. Brandon’s coming over the line. They center through. Shen steered it wide. Over to the far wing now. That’s Harley pinching in. Labushkin to Ranton it now to Sean with Faulk chasing after him in behind the goal. They center. They shoot Bennington right there. He denied Ranton and so you can see the head coach Glen Gullson is starting to get his group together here. Blues turn it over to Johnston and it’s Bennington saving the bacon one end. You’re going to see the turnover right here. Folk tries to go through the middle. Here’s their top goal scorer. Wyatt Johnson’s going to pick it off. What a great save there off the left and the puck to the right side as Neighbors will clear. Holloway brings it in. wires it just high and over to the far wing. Bishop with a long pass. Robertson will get to it. And just like that, you can get things opened up in a hurry, can’t you? Well, the Boos are playing such a tight game defensively, but you don’t want to burn yourselves. They almost did right there. Here’s Tucker to Navic. But Navic shooting rebound loose goal on the doorstep. Snugoo there to slide it in. Two nothing St. Louis. 608 the play in the period. And now moments later, here’s the entry. Pavush Davis. He gets to the middle. I can’t emphasize how important that is. He cuts to the middle. He ends up shooting it. Look at all the traffic. And look at Jimmy Snugaroo right there at the doorstep. We said it would be a rebound game and this is what we were talking about. There it goes right off of the Well, a two nothing lead. The Blues couldn’t extend it on a power play, but they found so at even strength. Thomas to Neighbors right on and a pad save. Atter talked to Jordan this morning a little bit. I tell you, Kurt, you know, you wouldn’t have known if he lost that first game in the home opener 5 nothing or he won 5 nothing. I mean, just a big smile on his face, just always turning the page, living day by day. Nothing gets under his skin. Really good mature approach there. Stars in Maverick Court. Yeah. And don’t take a penalty. in front. Johnston right on. Glove save. Bennington quick. And here’s Wyatt Johnson again. You’re going to see the Dallas Stars. They get on the entry. A bit confusing. I actually think they took a penalty on Jake Neighbors. He gets his feet taken out. And then you’re going to see Wyatt Johnson right in front with Robertson there. He’s going to go forces Bishel to stop taking more valuable seconds off the clock. Blues retreat the five on the ice. Neighbors Thomas and Holloway. Pareo and Fowler. Here’s Ranin dancing in. They shoot. They center. They score. 218 to go. The Stars have made it a one-goal game. Ranin coming through for Dallas. Star. I don’t know if he’s going to end up getting this goal, but watch this move on the Bonnarto Robo Cam. He’s going to dance Colton Pereco and then get right to the net. And then you’re going to see on the backside right there. It’s Johnson. Johnson’s pass over may hit Cam Fowler skate. We’ll take a look right here. And it is going to go off of Ransin’s right edge. Yes, it is going to be Mo Rantin’s goal. It is not going to be a kicking motion. He’s making a stop motion. So, this will count. It is a redirected goal. It will count. Absolutely. Skate is on the ice. Wyatt Johnston comes to the back door. Miko Ranson and after a beautiful move gets to the back door and just exposes his skate. This is why he’s a goal. Here we go. Six on five and the Stars get the extra man in. Pareo steals it. bounces it to the wall. Sudter jumps over to get it. He gets taken down. No call. Puck to the net. Score. Now that’s a gritty goal to give yourself a twogoal lead. Sudter puts the Blues on top three to one. Wall plays. Wall plays. Wall plays. Watch Colton Praco. Hastin’s going to keep this in. Watch shooter. He wedges his body against the wall, denies the puck from staying in, and then on his knees goes the distance in the empty. Here it is again. He He seals the wall, uses his skates, keeps it in, and look at that second effort. He’s going down on his knees. He gets the backhand. How about the bench? Here they are right there. Is it going to go? Is it going to go? Boom. It’s in. Everyone, of course, on their feet. Jim Montgomery with the draw to his left side. [Applause] Stay tuned. We’ll have the three stars of the game for you after this one as well. Robertson gets the puck to Johnston. He lets one go wide. 3 seconds to go. Bishial to the front of the net. That’ll do it. Bring out the Zamboni. [Music]
Jordan Kyrou opened the scoring, Jordan Binnington made 18 saves and Jimmy Snuggerud buried the game-winning goal to help the St. Louis Blues beat the Dallas Stars 3-1.

damn for the most part we just couldn't solve Binnington, i have a feeling them and the jets will be the top defensive teams this year
Blue Ballers beautifully bounced back by being balanced on D, O and PK! First win at home!
GO BLUES!!!!!
Suter has done it again to the Stars!
BENNINGTON IS THE WALL..
Something needs to change for Dallas, the lines or the coaching. The coaching looks completely incompetent.
Nobody likes Dallas.
I don't much care that the Blues won, but i love that Dallas lost.
