Carolina Hurricanes at Los Angeles Kings | FULL Overtime Highlights – October 18, 2025

[Applause] Both Kings games that have gone to overtime have actually ended up in a shootout. The win in Vegas, a loss in Minnesota. Jordan Stall gets kicked out here on the face off. That’s interesting to start overtime. It looks like he’s being asked to leave. Yes, he is. A chance here for Biffield. The defenseman Miller will take it and Biffield wins it. And that could be important. It’s two defenseman out there for Carolina. Yeah, Walker and Miller. Unusual in overtime. I’ve seen it, but it’s unusual. And of course the Kings have two forwards and they drop it off to Biffield and now Fiala up the middle and that was offside. I thought it was and then a delayed call with 22 gone in overtime. So the Hurricanes going what you would call a little bit more of a conservative approach. But now on the redrop of the puck, Au comes out as the second forward up front. Kings will make an adjustment here. Deno and Kempe with Dowy. So now the normal configuration. I was just saying that you know Walker and Mil Exactly. I missed identified one. So it’s still two D men. Very interesting here. and Deno and Aaho gets set and they get a lecture from Ryan Gibbons, the linesman. Yeah, that Hurricanes win it. It’s so important right in overtime. Now Miller on possession. He goes to the bench. But I’m going to be right this time, John. A forward comes over the boards. So now two forwards. Jarvis joins Aaho. And here comes Aaho leaving it. Walker ahead. AO with a bouncing puck. Plays it back. Rather cautious start to overtime. Jarvis will dart in to the middle and a backhander by Walker. Goes high and wide. Puck battled back of the goal and Dowy nudged off the puck and then a good stick by Kempe and it’s set all the way down the ice by Aaho to the rookie goalender Busy. Kempe nearly stole that puck. Again, it’s Busy’s second NHL game. And Miller comes in for the Hurricanes. Drops it off Aaho. Wiped out by Fia and Miller retreats. AO’s been out there a while, so we’ll see if he still has the energy to stay out there. You’re exposed threeon-ree if you get tired out there, but he stays out there with Jarvis. And we’re over a minute out there, so a lot of skating. And a pass ahead by Miller. Now Jarvis to the middle, leaves it. Ao shoots it. Rebound. They score. Jarvis gets it. A broken play. And he buries it. And the Hurricanes win 4-3. Yeah, it was one of those broken similar to the Kings goal by Kuzen and where the initial play didn’t make its way all the way through and because of that there’s a whole change in the timing of things. Now they’re just going to double check here with offside and things of that sort just to make sure. So coming at you Kings are okay. It’s okay. It’s okay even to this point and see Fia came across. So if there’s any mixup, Fiala comes across. He runs into Jarvis, but he doesn’t pick up Jarvis and the puck just sneaks through here. It’s not an attempted pass. It’s an attempted shot, but it hits Clark and it just slows down enough where Jarvis can pick it up and make it happen. So, the Kings had a similar play, the Canes get a similar play, but this one happens in overtime. And Jarvis lets the puck do the work and the Hurricanes win it 4-3 OT. His sixth goal of the year. It comes at 245. Even the Hurricanes win.
