Could Patriots trade for Jets RB Breece Hall?
It’s sort of exciting, isn’t it? With three wins in a row, wide openen AFC, anything is possible. Who knows where it goes? But, uh, it’s a lot of fun. I feel like the last three years, anyone that has invested in the team, in their time, their passion, their money, if you’re a fan, it’s been a tough go, right? Six weeks in and I’ve been pleading that just want to be in the mix. Like being in the mix is you’re not technically a playoff team, but you’re there. You’re there on the doorstep. You’re on the bubble and we’re six weeks in and you’re in first place in the AFC East with a home playoff game right now. Yeah. Let’s enjoy it. Yeah. And and who knows where it goes, but don’t let go the rope, man. Yeah. But but who knows where it goes, but just enjoy where we are after everything that we’ve been through. It just feels good to um you look we all put our time in to watch it and invest in it and when it’s a good product and it’s fun it’s just fun to watch whe and they’re going to lose one or two that maybe you’re not expecting and and that doesn’t change it as long as they play at this level and Drake keeps um you know ele you know elevating and I don’t know if you can keep it up at this level but it’s it’s pretty incredible to watch. So what’s your big thought about that win about that game and how should I do my three or yeah well I mean yeah let’s do it. All right. So, I’m actually I don’t want to be the wet blanket, but let’s let’s let’s go. Let’s Mike Reese going to be the wet blanket. So, look. What’s your problem? No. Crescent City criticism with Mike Reese. No, no, no. No, no, no. It sounds that way, Mike. Because I think I think that they are feeling the same way. If they don’t get the running game going, it’s going to be hard to keep this going. So, that would be my first thought. What What What am I seeing? because I think that’s a question a lot of people have. Why aren’t they running the ball? And I was so they had six negative runs in the game. That’s a very high total, five of them in the second half. But I was surprised and I don’t know if you saw this Zo watching live. There are holes there. It’s not like there’s a wall at the line of scrimmage that Bob and I said it on the broadcast. Yeah. There’s about three or four times we’re like, “Oh, get there.” They couldn’t. And and Garrett Bradbury, the center, said this yesterday. base if they can just finish and every player on the line takes a little bit more responsibility to finish their blocks. Some of these three, four, five yard runs can go uh for much more. And so I I do think there is a little bit of an aspect of they’re not mers like this this offensive line outside of Will Campbell, you know, I wouldn’t say like run blocking is their forte. The tight ends, same thing. the fullback, Jack Westover, same thing. So, I think there is a little bit of a how do they how can they manufacture a little bit of a Mer mentality and like for example when you can’t get the ball in at the goal line, like part of my thought is maybe try something different with a defense, a reserve defensive lineman, not Richard Seymour playing fullback, but one of those 320 lb Joshua Farmer Cory Durans. Put him at fullback and let’s start moving some piles. So, that’s just one thought I had, you know, to try to develop a little bit more of the mentality of of to get the run game going because you’re going to need it playing in the Northeast. So, that’s number one. Number two, I think this is a with the trade deadline uh few weeks away, I I think this is a time like it reminds me of the Red Sox a little bit. Yeah, you’re maybe in a little bit of an unexpected position that you weren’t necessarily anticipating at the start of the year. running back is the one position to me that call around the league because Raandre Trayvon and really no one right now. Yeah. Terrell Jennings like you are one injury away from being in a very low leverage situation. So I look at this my second point be Taylor still available. How about Bree Hall of the of the Jets? Oh my god. Are you serious? 0 and6 team last year of his contract. No way. Do you think they’re gonna trade him in the division? Well, the Bengals traded Joe Flacco or for Joe Flacco from the Browns. I’m not saying it’s in I I I would not I would not, but it just happened last week with another division. Yeah, but there’s a difference between a like a 40-year-old what has turned into a journeyman quarterback at this point and yeah, what’s Pull on his third year? Fourth. Fourth year. You’re probably right, Beetle. But but I’m reading my colleague. What’s the meaning of the What do you think the price is? What do you think the price is? So, I thought it would have been a third round pick and people told me I was crazy. A running back on an expiring deal would not be as high as a third round pick. And I I said, “Well, for your point, Beetle, to trade him in the division, you might need to give up a three.” Yeah. A little done. And you would do a three. Done. Done. I don’t know. I don’t think people realize why would the Jets give him up. Why? I mean, because they because if they’re not bringing it back, Emy’s leaving. Every time Every time we did Jets week part, whether it was uh Bill, whether it was Gerard, best news all day, Mike, they’re trading for Bree Hall. No, no, no. I’m not saying they’re trading for that in your headline. No, can you um Tim, my colleague Rich Seminia, the only the reason this came comes up from me. My colleague Rich Seini wrote this call your colleague on three. Okay, it’s a big word. I know it’s a big word for you. I mean, Christ, Mike, Richini works in New York, but my colleague my colleague Mike Stick, Mike, by the way. How great. Hey, they’re trying to they’re trying to make me not eat the mic here. He sounds great, doesn’t he? Fantastic. He’s able. He’s great. I should buy one of these from home and do home shows. Yes. Yes. Love that idea. We’ll all do that. Click and ship. Winter. Winter. Click and ship. Rich Simei covers the Jets. Done it for 30 years. So plugged in. ESPN. There you go. He writes on Sunday uh possible players that could be traded and and he puts Bree Hall in there. And so my thing, so you mentioned why why would they trade him in the division? I mean, if a third round pick is a good chip for a player that you might not be bringing back, right? So, so that’s but whether it’s Bree Hall or someone else, my point is I think they need to be proactive. They have an open roster spot and that’s the one position to me and and Raandre I think as long as he holds on the ball that’s you need him. Trayvon I think can give you I think Trayvon can give you um some explosive plays but game may be a little fast for him right now. I think the timing of this might be interesting because yesterday morning I said someone needs to tell him that at this next level it’s a lot faster here. Everybody’s fast in the NFL, right? I I think it’s it’s it’s too fast for him at the moment. The game was too fast for like he was he was in blitz pickup and he went to stock somebody but the guy dropped in coverage. He didn’t know what to do. The speed of the play. Go help somebody else out. Right. the speed of the defenders, all of it. It’s too fast for him. Yeah. Certainly a head coach with the Jets. And if Aaron Glenn is not going to make it through the season, he gets popped. Say they go interm of a reason to potentially trade for him. Like everybody’s available. We’re in a full cell. Blow it up. So I’m going to get I’m going to get what Rich said about Bree. My final point would be um just one positive because I started with you know the the running game. Uh how about the way they’re stopping the run? Did you know this has not happened in franchise history that in the first I think it’s the the the whole year they have not allowed a running back over 50 yards in a game never happened in Patriots history that comes from Aaron Sulcen of Patriots media relations and I want to tell you what I see Zo do you agree um from calling the games Milton Williams Christian Barour Kyus Tonga Joshua Farmer the fourth round pick out of Florida State and Cory Dur who they picked up uh after he was cut by the Giants. These guys are controlling the line of scrimmage against the run. Really good stuff. And they’re running around. So anyway, just a just flip side of the uh of all your negative commentary. That’s right. That’s right. Their inability to run the football. I mean, it makes everything that Drake May is doing that much more impressive given that they can’t run. his job is made that much more difficult by the fact that they can’t run the ball. Can Can he sustain that? My thought would be the odds, not against better teams. No, that that luck runs out, but against the soft spots in the schedule, which is where they are, they could still take advantage. So, I think big picture, I I think they can run it. Keep chopping away at it. Maybe um try to get a little creative with little bit of personnel, maybe trade possibility just to give you a little more juice. How have you not talked about Drake May at this point? I feel like we’ve talked about it like enough, but I mean I I want to come in with something different.
Zolak and Bertrand welcome ESPN’s Mike Reiss, who introduces an interesting Patriots trade target.

Does Beetle ever let the guest finish speaking?
Hall And Achane Are My Favorites At RB. A Sneaky Need Is A Veteran LG With Physicality
Trade Zoe to the NY jets
Beadle needs ozempic like the pats need hall
Something beetle said about talking about Drake Maye. If I didn't hear his name for the rest of the season I wouldn't care. I am already nauseous listening to these media experts about Drake Maye. Please, please is anyone capable about talking about some of the other players contributions?
Trade Stevenson and a pick for Chubba Hubbard.
The jets help the patriots and they're fan base will be rabid. If he's traded he's likely going to the NFC.
Mike is wrong here when he’s talking about the run defense. Why run the ball would you can get 12 yards every time you pass the ball on the Patriots defense
I would take Breece Hall in a "New York" minute"…
With Quinnen Williams on the trade block could you imagine the Pats adding him 😮💨😮💨 1:25
Offensive formations with both Hall and Henderson in the backfield at the same time is ideal for moving chains. Color me intrigued 🤔
We should trade for Evan Neal, Giants
Pats facing the 3rd or 4th most 8-man boxes in the league. Not the whole story but seeing how Drake can light em up, maybe this changes going forward
Instead arguing with your guest like an idiot, listen to what he has to say.
Dumbest take in sports and no wonder it is the Progressive Democrat activists at 98.5 saying it.
Jets would NEVER trade Hall to the Pats, it would NEVER happen.
You're not going to get a divisional opponent to help you
Jets aren't gonna trade their RB within the division. The fat one makes this unbearable.
Please, the defense is terrible. The reason teams aren't running on them is because they can't stop the pass.
Happened to Barkley
My understanding of the Pats Oline was 4 of 5 are better run blockers?
Vrabel is so awesome, Drake is him. We are so back
Vrabel & Drake haters are in hiding
Nah we want AJ Brown!!!
How about Atlanta’s backup
Beetle is a dk.
I kinda like what the Patriots doing thru the draft I still think Stevenson has time to turn it around and Henderson is going to be solid. Please Pats don't go out looking to trade for a star at least not in the RB market.
Beetle please just shut the ** up when Mike is talking man! You ask for insight then make awful one liners over him! And Mike is like the nicest man on the planet so he’ll never say anything
It’s time for this crew to go. Give me Jim Murray and whatever cast he wants. Zo can go get the shades somewhere else.
I don’t care if jets don’t like Patriots. They need to do something because they need help big-time and they need Draft picks and they need someone who knows how to Draft. Don’t just go for what the media says is the best quarterback do your study. Make sure you get the right one.
First Google Breece Hall fumbles, then realize Braelon Allen could be out for the year, and finally the Jets would never trade the Patriots a player that would improve their roster.
Dumb Stevenson and get Hall that sounds like a AFC championship game.
Kamara has said he want to play for saint or Sean Payton only.
Let Mike talk haha my god! 😅
If they are going to trade….. TARGET the Cardinals get Budda Baker to compliment Jones. Those two as safeties would make offenses go crazy trying to find openings. Plus Budda has an awesome tackling record
The Jets are dumb but they’re not trading Breece Hall within the division.
Remember that old song Daydream Believer? You have to be one to even mention Breece Hall within the division.
Mike Reiss doing his Woody Allen impersonation again.
Didn’t the Pats trade Curtis Martin to the Jets in his prime? Jets owe them one with Breece
that reiss guy in the middle talks too much. is this show always like this?
they need to stop using their outside zone running back and running him up the middle. maybe the nfl isnt too fast for him mcdaniels is just using him wrong.
They should’ve drafted Skattebo instead of Henderson is a no-brainer in my book
Just make good free agents want to come next year and beyond
I’m sorry, why would we even trade for a back? Henderson is an EXTREMELY talented rookie. GIVE HIM MORE WORK FIRST.
Lots of Pats fan watch little to 0 college ball. Just because he hasn’t made an amazing contribution through 6 weeks does NOT mean he cannot be a strong #1 option.
Trading for a back who doesn’t project to just be a rotational guy is beyond idiotic imo. Save whatever asset you’d send out or go trade for a diff position.
Anyone ever tell Zo he looks like a moron with his glasses on indoors all the time?
