Full Highlights | Kraken vs. Maple Leafs – Oct 18, 2025 (w/Joe Bowen)

The Leafs and the Seattle Kraken meeting for the first time this season. And how appropriate that they walk into the building tonight wearing Seattle Mariner baseball jerseys as the Blue Jays will host Seattle in game six of the American League Championship Series tomorrow night. Doy’s line starting with Robertson on the left side and McCann on the right. And the puck is dropped and we’re underway and glad you’re along with us. After it there is uh Winterton. He gets around the boards but is bodied nicely there and taken off the disc by Riley. Yanni Neman trying to work along the boards. Was tripped and a penalty coming to Toronto. Played into the near slot area. Mishandling the puck a bit. There was McCann and now it’s played up along the boards but kept in. Pass over on the left wing side and a shot in on goal. Good save made by Stallars. backhanded towards the boards but not cleared. It comes in front of the net. Back to the point now for Flurry. Long shot on the wing. It comes back to the point to Mason Marchman. A shot right on and they score on the rebound. It deflected off of Stallar’s stick, but it was right onto the stick of the Seattle Krakens number 51. Shane Wright in his 100th game picks up the opening goal of the hockey game. Off a stick in front of the net, banked ahead and out at center comes Nice. Dropped it off now and Cowan is across the line. Cowan with a wrist shot that was blockered away by Decord. Puck back around the blue line. Kept in by Matthews. Matthews closing in on goal. Matthews with a shot. Dourord has caught that and holds for a faceoff and then flattened in front of the net. is Eastston Cowan who’s getting up slowly but I haven’t seen any I I thought the arm came up Joe is Adam Larson somebody coming in tow with the official plays it to himself along the boards now engaged but the puck comes free and Matthews has it cross ice to the far side to Riley pass in front of the net to lander in front for Matthews and a bullet was kicked away by Dord pumps it around the boards cut off by Adam Larson at the near point to keep it in along Long shot got through and it was steered aside there by Stallars as the Leafs get it high to center ice and then we get a gathering of the folks right between the two benches after the puck I guess went out of play. And is that Cowan in the middle of it again? Yeah, Machelli I guess. Leafs bank it back of the net for Jake McCabe up ahead for Bobby McMahon to Doy on right wing. He gets in over the line. Nice pass in. Oh, and it was Tan heading to the B or the net. Great play, but probably the wrong set of hands. Oh, and Knander couldn’t get to it. Now Matthews does. Knander getting it ahead and N gets it out into the center ice area. Battles for it. Got it freed up for Matthews. Left wing side. Riley scores. Morgan Riley jumps into the rush. Dy makes a great play to get the puck free at the blue line and he sends in Matthews and the Maple Leafs tie the game at one. It all starts with a battle on the far boards that N is able to win and get it back to Matthews and Morgan Riley sifting down in the left wing circle. snaps it short side blocker side over the right shoulder of Decord. Morgan Riley’s got two already on the season as the Leafs have tied it at one. No. Oh god. By the third period, they were 10 lbs heavier. Shot in. Oh, and a hit from behind on Robertson. And McMahon takes exception to the hit, but I don’t think a penalty was forthcoming. Tolvin is the B the checker who hit Robertson from behind and went right over top of them. McMahon’s getting the lone penalty as usual. Fighting for it. Got it freed up now. Gets it again. Doy with a nice little move to get it into the slot and a pass in front for Robertson. Oh, and he one time that he had an empty net, but he hit the side of the goal around the boards. It’ll come into the near corner. lead pass to center for Seattle. Had it knocked away. Cowan to free it up. And Jake McCabe sends a high alleyoop pass in over the line. Cowan gets through. He’s in and he banned on it, but a penalty is coming here to Seattle. Oh, I thought that might have been close to a penalty shot being called. Power play for the Maple Leafs as a result. One by the Leafs. Here’s Ro near side Matthews and he whipped the shot over top of the goal. Grabbed off by Tvaris. Cleared by Riley, but cut off at the blue line and maintained. Carlo couldn’t get to his band. Here’s a wrist shot taken off the chest. That was up high near the shoulder of goender Stallars who shakes it off. Curled around on the far board. Seattle lifting it to center. Brought in on the left wing and a pass and on goal. Big save made there by Stallars. One of the Leafs sticks went flying. And it was Bobby McMahon’s puck comes out at center ice. Kraken in over the line. A drop pass by Marchman. He gets a return. Centers in front. They score. Marchman with a great pass in front of the net. And Yanni Neman has given the Kraken the one-goal lead again. It’s two to one. Well, a series of unfortunate things that happened there. Joe. Bobby McMahon loses a stick and then goes to retrieve it and then Max Doli took a puck to the face with and Ronnie Ronnie Francis. Ron Francis the president of the Seattle Kraken now chipped out into the center ice area. The Leafs kneelander pokes it in over the line. Got it back to Tvaris who scores [Music] on a funny little play. Knander getting it freed up and John Tavaris is within one of that group as he risks it home to tie the game at two. I mean this came out of the net as quickly as it went in as Tavaris just with a quick release top of the right wing circle. [Music] Puck in the center ice area and Everly gets it down the right wing trying to drive as McCann got it in front and shot it over top of the wraparound attempt in front of the net. Went over top of the goal. What a glorious chance that was. Played it back to the point for Seattle into the slot. A shot. Ow. Blocking that on a great play. There was played up on the wing. It’s going to clear to the line but not out. Tolvin works to the right wing side. A shot scores. Boy, there was a lot of traffic in and knocking it down. Well, I I mean, there’s a Seattle player right on top of Anthony Stolars, but is it going to be deemed that Brandon Carlo knocked him into it? And Stlars is still down. And it looks like they’re not going to chance it. So, for the third time in the contest, the Kraken have gained the lead to Riley around back of the net coming out in front. Oh, and it was chipped just wide as N failed to get his stick on it. And now the Kraken get a break. Here’s Stevenson in on a breakaway. And the great play made by Chris Tanv to get back. Got a shot away and it was deflected wide. Centering pass by Knander is broken up and three Kraken to center ice with one defender. Cross the line. Marchman and on the right side going hard to the net. Crashes into the goalender and Stallars has had enough of this. He pushes the net over and he’s getting after his man. This will be interesting. But you understand from Stolars, I mean, this seemed deliberate as Mason Marchman came flying in and drilled Stolars into the back of the net. You got Jake McCabe and Brandon Carlo jumping on Marchment. Nimman has got his helmet off. Blockered away by Dort. Robertson knocked down on the play. Pass in front of the goal and a penalty coming here as DOI got lifted off his skates and it appears the Leafs are going to go back to the power play here. Navarus taking the face off against Chandler Stevenson. And one cleanly by the Leafs and a wrist shot taken. Big rebound in front. They score. Johnny T. Johnny Toronto ties the game. His 500th career point. Aame. I heard somebody say they got to start getting the puck to the net. Carlo trying to keep the puck in at the blue line, but can’t. And now a foot racing over the line trying to get away as Schwarz is in a goal and steered aside by Stallars. loose there or he might have had Matthews and him away on a two-on-one back in. Big hit by Jake McCabe. Knocks his man down. Baneer’s losing it. Leafs just trying to get the puck out at center and they will. And the only fresh legs on the ice gets it in over the line. Joshua to the net. Got it in front of the goal. Oh, and it went in behind goender Dord Dakota Joshua. I don’t know how he did not score on this. at the point. One by a centering pass. Oh, what a great save that was made by Stallars. But then Matthews had his stick broken, but the Kraken trying to come out in front of the net, get it back to the point. Larson, a shot. Another save. Rebound to the side of the goal. Goes back to the net. Seattle player as it’s cleared into the Toronto zone and almost stolen and is now by Seattle into the slot area. shot and Riley deflected that up into the screen looking for Loren. Didn’t materialize, but Loren drives in on goal. Oh, and he got around the defense. What a great bit of hustle that was from Steven Loren. Bobby McMahon and McMahon gets it ahead for Riley. The drop pass to Doy. Doy in with a shot. That was blocked. That may have struck one of the Seattle players. Lindren is slow to get up and is down and hurt. And they’re going to blow this down. and he gets to center ice. 8 seconds left across the line. Going hard to the front of the net. It comes to a pass in front of the net. A big save there. The rebound cleared into the corner. Oh my, what a chance that was as the buzzer goes. Knander drops to Rats in the slot. Drops it back to Riley. Riley back in front. Tipped just wide of the goal. Vince Dunn working on the B the blue line. Played off to right on the left wing in front. The right-handed shot is stopped. Least need a line change. Do they ever done got around his man breaking right and a goal stopped by Starden bring it out. Minute 59 left in overtime. Back in and driving the net. Mahur scores. Joshua Mahura breaks in off the right wing and the Seattle Kraken are still undefeated this year 30 and2 on this road trip as they win it in overtime. Time.

  1. Leafs need a damn enforcer man, and it’s obvious the refs don’t respect us we get none of the obvious calls because we are good on the power play

  2. Who is the play by play announcer? He's good and reminds me of other great announcers from days past. Some guys just have the right voice and tone. (Ulike dumbbuck martinez)

  3. Stolarz run over and nothing. Not a playoff team. Domi doesn't have 1/10th of his Dad's heart. I would trade Matthews and Willie. You should get at least 7 good players for those top ten in "empty net goal scorers."

  4. Stolarz is the Maple Leafs' captain.

Or at the very least we should all agree Matthews isn't. The captain isn't the one who just kinda stands around and stares any time a teammate needs to be stood up for. You can count the number of Leafs' players that bring true passion to every game on one hand.

  5. The Leafs are not a good team this year. Their defence doesn’t look good at defending but are scoring as much as their forwards. This doesn’t say much about their forwards. Without Marner, Matthews and Knies look lost out there. Nylander is a joke. Roy is slow and doesn’t score. Cowan should be with the Marlies. Stolartz is the only goalie they have because Primeau isn’t going to win them any games. Conclusion; Leafs are lucky to make the wildcard.

  6. Leafs have the issue of the team being setup around "super star" personalities and playing to these stars. Moving the C from JT was such a failed moment for the organization and really showed this is a paper/marketing business and less of a hockey club.

  7. God it’s hard to be a leafs fan these days. Watched the panthers highlights first, marchy gets into a tilt and everyone on the ice has his back, flippers off let’s go. Cowan and Robertson get trucked and most of the leafs couldn’t care less. Days of me being a leafs fan is quickly coming to an end, soft as dogshit and no heart. When you watch how a real bunch of teammates play together you quickly realize what the Leafs have isn’t it.

  8. 8:09 Carlo deserves the heat he took for his role in this but let’s not ignore Willy with the fly by and McCabe who was content to stand there motionless leaning on the crossbar.
Not a soul in blue and white cared to do a damn thing until their goaltender took matters into their own hands.
    Shameful.

  9. My plan is to watch every single game announced by Jelly. Totally bummed this is his last year. Absolutely the best in hockey. Great game BTW, close one.
