Mason Marchment is shocked – SHOCKED – to be getting a penalty!

Too many people are thinking it was intentional. Most of these people have never skated before.
What WAS he doing *there* of all places?
Did he intend to run into the goalie? Probably not. But, it’s hard to argue against it given his history.
He falls into that same category as Kadri. They just assume they meant to do it because of past incidents.
By the laws of the sea, this must now become a meme.
Ratfuck behavior from a ratfuck player. Can’t wait for them to ship him at the deadline for a bag of pucks.
wtf is wrong with people? i think Marchy is a great addition to the team and his shenanigans put the other team on the edge. I have zero problems with this and if he keeps playing good hockey i would like to sign long term.
Nylander clipped his skate which threw him off balance. From his perspective he was tripped.
This was EXACTLY why I wasn’t super stoked about us picking up Mush. Be a pest, but don’t be sleazy. It’s not our style.
Real talk, folks: I hadn’t seen that Nylander tripped him. I’m a pretty new hockey fan, and I’ll admit to having a soft spot for Stolarz. The dude is funny af and a great goalie, although no one is as great as our Sainted Joey of Perpetual Stops.

Ok so I’m new to hockey and also can’t skate so obviously I’m an expert:
It looked like mostly an accident to me. BUT I was very afraid of stolarz after. If a 6’6″ man dressed in full gear got to his feet in 0.2 seconds, stood over me, slammed the net out of the way, and then made as if to beat the shit outta me… I understand why stolarz was mad, and I understand that goalies getting hurt is devastating, but holy shit his reaction freaked me out.

Is Stolarz justified in being mad he got knocked into twice in a very short amount of time?: Yes.
Was Stolarz being a bit of a psycho?: Yes.

Really looks like a squid is in his soul with those eyes. Like Ima teenage Kraken, bout to get pissed to turn into the real thing and go nuts on the refs, like really? Lol
Now I’m laughing all over again. Everything about that moment was hilarious. I was so glad they kept repeating it in close-ups.
I don’t blame anyone involved. Marchment made a bonehead play but I don’t believe he was trying to injure Stolarz. Stolarz & teammates are understandably a bit sensitive to this stuff after Bennett’s elbow. And it looked like no one really got hurt.
