Nah. Shohei is the best thing to happen to baseball a long time. Appreciate the time he had with us, and also happy to see him reach great heights.
Arte is the villain
Glad I didn’t buy a jersey but also glad I saw him pitch multiple times for an affordable price.
The Angels are the villains not Ohtani..
I don’t get why people hate on Shohei for leaving. He gave us everything he had, won 3 MVPs, all for a shitty organization that refuses to do what needs to be done to compete. Like what do you wish had happened? Have the Angels pay him $700M and have nothing else to spend for the next 10+ years?
Get mad at the person that deserves it. Arte.
Do not hate on Shohei ! Hate on Arte and his guys ! Clueless , all of them .
Is the guy that won’t pay for scouts, won’t pay for extended minor league spring training, won’t pay for minor league housing, pays for an inflated marketing team, won’t pay for a better farm system, won’t pay to improve (or even get an ac in) training facilities, that is involved with shady business dealings, and has threatened to move the team the villain…or is it the professional guy that wants to win.

I hate the Dodgers. I’m pissed Shohei went there, although I don’t blame him. Having said that, serious respect: He just had one of the best single games anyone has ever had, and he did it in the playoffs. Dude is an absolute legend.
The Angels could’ve kept him. They didnt want to pay, tho.
Yeah, insinuating Ohtani is in any way a villain is a truly brain-dead take.
The man played at the highest level and got a contract which awarded him accordingly.
As a response he’s found yet another level, helped by the fact the other teams can’t pitch around him, as was so often the case when he was on the Angels and was the only potent bat in the lineup with Trout and Rendon on the IL much of the time.
I’m happy for Ohtani, Arte isn’t doing what’s required to build a champion.
Fuck Arte. He ruined baseball for me. Literally stopped watching baseball when Shohei walked. Best decision i ever made.
