ROUGH: New Orleans #Saints Remain Bought In, Will Face QB Questions After Loss To Chicago Bears

The two big questions surrounding the New Orleans Saints after their loss to the Chicago Bears, they dropped to 1-6 are how much longer will this team remain bought in and what is the future of the New Orleans Saints quarterback situation? I think we have a pretty good idea of some of those answers though. I spoke with several players in the locker room following the loss to the Chicago Bears. The reason why every player has bought in is because they very much feel that they can see the success that they can have. And it seems like everybody’s just kind of aware that this is a part of the process when it comes to a rebuild. So, we’ll see how much longer the patience remains, but it feels like the players are still very much bought in. The vibes are still high and there’s still positivity around the facility. But the quarterback conversation is going to be an interesting one. Spencer Rattler responsible for four turnovers in this game, whether interceptions or fumbles. And that might lead to a lot of folks calling for Tyler Shuck to become the starting quarterback. But I wouldn’t expect the New Orleans Saints to react so hasty. However, if this was a team that was chomping at the bit to get a look at its rookie passer, this game might give them the sliver of an opening that they would need to make it justified. I just don’t see the Saints necessarily rushing to get to that

  1. Spencer should start at last one more game if not until the bye but since this isn’t likely going to be a contending team we may as well see what we might have in shough.

  2. Rough game indeed for Rattler. Doesn’t help when Kamara and Stoll miss blocks in critical situations. And they (both LBs) still missed a lot of tackles. Looked like the receiver was supposed to flatten his route on the first INT. Allen made a great defensive call crashing Kamara on the last one…But something has to give.

  3. I say having a bad game for Spencer was his best medicine..cause if he let it fly and doesn't have to look over his shoulder at a replacement QB, it could give him more confidence to let it fly, and allow this team to grow with him at QB..every QB has an occasional bad game, and this will never be his team as long as he plays afraid…let him grow and see what he's made of…let's see how he responds to a bad game..

  4. When you lose to Dennis Allen it’s time for your Quarterback and coach to find another line of work 😂😂😂😮 All jokes aside, it’s time to bench Rattler for Shough, after all, what do you have to lose but to lose.

  5. Until today Rattler’s performance was not a reason for the previous losses but the 4 turnovers attributed to Rattler flipped the script and led to points putting the team in another hole to start a game that held a slim promise of a victory on the Road in Chicago. Now I’m sure the fans of Shough will pick up their chants for a QB change. It may be premature just yet but if mistakes become a trend then it may be time to see what is behind Door #2. Rebuilding requires patience on the part of Players, coaches, media, fans and Front Office. It’s is upsetting to start a game with early turnovers which is a sign of a lack of focus and maybe impatience to do too much too soon. Even as fans we need to accept the reality of the current situation in this season. This was not going to be a winning season
It was always about rebuilding. With rebuilding will come mistakes, penalties and turnovers, dropped passes, wrong routes being run and yes injuries to key players at inopportune times. We are still in need of crucial pieces to the puzzle. We should lick our wounds, smooth ruffled feathers, take deep breaths and just put today on a shelf and look to another day

  6. I suppose that so called luck everyone was talking about the bears had against the commanders with turnovers carried over to the saints game. So much for "luck".

  7. If the Saints don’t make a QB change soon . How will they know if they have to draft a QB next season or do they already know that answer . The one thing I know is there are winners and losers and we all see what Spencer is . That’s the NFL like it or not . If they have the answer on Tyler what about Hill for the rest of the season because we know what he is . Just saying
