Jets look LIFELESS in 13-6 loss to Panthers to start the season 0-7 | Gang’s All Here
0 and7. The New York Jets have started 0 and7. This is the worst start in franchise history. This is the gangs all here postgame live show. I’m Ryan Samson. That’s Frankie Viterini from you Stadium. The Jets go down to the Carolina Panthers in 13-6 fashion in a lifeless, pathetic, disgusting, depressing, upsetting, just absolutely any bad adjective you can think of for this Jets football team. They are right now 13-6, 0 and7. Aaron Glenn has to own up to this. Justin Fields has to own up to this, but we’re here to talk about it as always on the postgame show. I’ll start off by saying Frankie, how you doing, bud? Hey Ryan, man, it’s uh it’s another depressing Sunday, especially if you went to the game today. I know there are a couple who went I didn’t see anyone go. They had they had Jets single day there that they had some What the hell was that? Jets singles tailgate. Yeah, I mean, you know, if you’re a single Jet fan and then you don’t you know, you don’t want to feel too bad about yourself. I mean, go there. Maybe you meet someone because it’s going to be depressing once the game enjoy the misery together, right? Um, Ryan, it was, by the way, the stadium was empty, Frankie. Like, let’s be real. The stadium was empty. So, I hope I hope Woody Johnson’s paying attention. It’s not even November 1, not even Halloween, right? We’re still two weeks away from Halloween and your stadium is empty for a week on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. By the way, 70° out. You can’t ask for better weather than that come mid-occtober. Um, Ryan, this team cannot put anything together. When you come into a football game, you have to put a defensive strategy together, which it seemed like they did. But you also have to put an offensive strategy together. You have to get your team to be able to score points. And this team cannot score anymore. Not that they could really score early on, but at least in the first couple games, you looked at the offense and you said, “Oh, there’s something here. We like something about what we’re seeing.” Now, this looks worse than the Zack Wilson days. Um, this team is just floating in in crap right now. That’s how I describe it. They’re just floating in crap. They are not going to be able to really beat anybody. If they are going to win a few games this year, it’s only going to be a few. Talking about two, three wins tops. Carolina did nothing special today, right? Carolina, what did they really do today? They did nothing. Nothing. Nothing. They we we’ve neutralized their running game for the most part. You have to give defense uh you have to give credit to to to our defense who only allowed 125 yards rushing on 36 carries. It’s three and a half yards a carry to a team that got their starting running back in and to a back Enrico who was just on fire the last couple games. We neutralized them in the run game. Um the defense did really all that they could but like always whenever the defense has maybe their best performance of the year, we thought that was last year uh last week, excuse me, that they had their best performance. No, their best performance was this week, but our offense had even a worse performance maybe than they did the week before because this offense today was as bad as it can get on top of not being able to move the ball, Ryan. They’re they’re turning the ball over and um Justin Fields is obviously not the guy. So, uh I think that experiment we can uh we can put a bow on it and we can put that to bed, right? Throw it out the window. Yes, sir. Put it to bed. Justin Fields. any anybody out there who likes Justin Fields or thought he’d be the answer here or be someone that you’re going to look at in 2026 as being your starter, it’s over. It’s officially over. Maybe they’ll start him next week. I doubt it, but even if they do, it’s over. That kid does not deserve to be a starter. Tyrod Taylor’s too old to be a starter. So, uh, that’s it, man. Just a pathetic Sunday. They had six sacks, by the way, against us today. They Panthers, they only had five the entire season. So, uh, for for the entire season. So, that’s uh that’s New York Jets football right now, boys and girls. The Jets were able to get 12 total first downs today. Uh eight through the air, three through the uh three in the ground. Um overall, and again, if you want to talk about what’s going on with this team penalties wise, they had another five penalties today for 26 yards. Two of them coming in the first half that were absolutely killers for you. one being the John Simpson um personal foul, a drive after Justin Fields takes a late hit, where Armanu was a a beast and defended his quarterback, rightfully so, and and and went after the Panthers defender. Didn’t get a penalty there, but then Simpson let it carry over into the following drive in the second quarter, and the Jets paid for it there. And then, let’s not forget, Frankie, they convert for first down, but they get an illegal shift. And the Jets team and this offense have had recurrences now of illegal shifts on this offense. It feels like every single week when you in actuality you should probably have maybe four or five it feels like in the most in the season. The Jets have somehow done this every single week it feels like man. Um so altogether it’s the offense, right? Like so the defense had a nice a nice game today considering Bryce Young’s really not that good of a quarterback. Went out with an ankle injury in the third quarter. Annie Dalton comes in, you let him convert a huge uh first down at the conver convert a huge third down uh at the end of the game if you actually thought you had a chance. Um, but the Jets overall, it’s this game is about the offense. And I was thinking about this before we came on the show, Frankie, and I wanted to ask you this cuz we kind of do have to point this now a little bit back at Glenn and Muji and what they assembled here starting this season because everything that we’re talking about, these brutal times, this offense not being able to do anything effectively, they chose to pick Justin Fields and sign him for $20 million for a two-year deal. So 40 million, two years, 20 million per year for what ultimately is going to be, you can label as backup level play, if that some of the worst quarterback play you’ve seen in a Jets uniform, believe it or not, two weeks in a row. And then you kept Tyrod Taylor on the roster, a guy who’s 35 years old, a journeyman, and you just saw today he couldn’t come up in a big moment. I mean, your ass to come in the game cold, right? We need you because Justin had a concussion look like earlier in the game because he takes a late hit. you come in, don’t really do much there, right? And then they ask him to come in because they’re benching Justin because Justin just doesn’t look good at all and he doesn’t do anything but throw interceptions in the game. So, you signed up for Justin Fields and Tyrod Taylor. My question to you is we talked about the Jets should have drafted a quarterback in this draft or they should have gone for a better veteran option that was out there. They chose to go with Justin Fields as a reclamation project. It has gone horribly wrong. Horribly. So, I guess my my question if I were the media asking Aaron Glenn in the post game, I’d be like, did you really think you were going to have success with Justin Fields and Tyrod Taylor as your quarterback situation going into this year? Because that is what every fan could have told you before the season was not going to work out like you said, Frankie. And then the other thing that we talked about before the season was they didn’t have a wide receiver, too. If Garrett Wilson gets hurt, there’s no one else to throw to. And what happened today? You went into a game without your number one wide receiver and there was no separation from any of the wide receivers. I can’t tell you how many ball balls thrown down the field where Justin and Tyrod are putting 50/50 balls up there and you’re like these guys aren’t giving you any chance from the Jets wide receiver position to get come up with that ball. I think Aryen Smith got hit in the chest in the end zone for the tie rod play. Uh defender the defender I think Washington got his uh got his got his hand in there. Hit him right here, man. But this is what we’re talking about though. the things that we had talked about in the offseason, Jackson. Yeah. But the things that we had addressed in the offseason of are you guys going to get a real wide receiver, too? And are you going to actually bring in more competition for this quarterback because you cannot tell me that you’re going to stick with Justin Fields and then hope Tyrod Taylor can win you some games as a backup. Maybe we were wrong, Frankie. And and this Jets franchise was really trying to tank this year and they just didn’t want to tell us their actual plan. Am I Am I wrong to read it that way? Well, I don’t think they were trying to tank. I mean, although I thought that the way that the team was set up could have been a tanking sort of job considering all the circumstances. The first It looks like it right now, doesn’t it? Yeah. First time OC, first time um uh you know, quarterback. Think about that. You chose his first time Justin Field started, rookie head coach, rookie offensive coordinator, and you decided to go with this situation offensively personnel-wise. Yeah. The issue is this, man. You cannot expect a team ran by a firsttime head coach that’s a defensive guy background with Justin Fields and in a game like today without Garrett Wilson out there, there is no way in hell you can expect that team to be able to put up enough points against anybody. That is a formula for disaster right there. That’s just what it is. Unless Bree Hall was going to go off today, which he didn’t. Uh or unless Justin Fields was going to run to death today, which he didn’t. Nope. Um, you’re not going to win this football game. So, I don’t know from Aaron Glenn’s perspective, from Tanner Angstrand’s perspective, what they thought was going to be the right formula to win today’s game. It just seemed like they ran what they had been running weeks prior and they just did it minus Garrett Wilson. And that’s exactly what you saw today. You needed to do something a little bit different. Now, you did see that trick play, which was actually a nice little addition. We haven’t seen a trick play really all year. That should have been a touchdown, but Tyrod Taylor underthrew it. Um, and then a play or two later, he did underthrow it and it was picked off. Um, that one-handed pick. You had uh I think what was it? Aren Smith there in the end zone or Tyler Johnson when he was the second interception you’re talking about? The first one. The first one. The first one. Um, you know, you had that uh that first one was to I believe it was to to Tyler Johnson, but I I could be I could be wrong. The first one I think was to Tyler Johnson. Yeah. And and that was that was the same drive. That was a few plays after you had that uh that uh trick play that was also underthrown. So, I mean, man, that wide open. Alan Lazard is just waiting for the touchdown. As wide open as you’re going to get, man. And he just lofts a ball. It’s like a deep deep popup to center field. I’m like, what the hell are you throwing that ball so high for? And that’s and that’s and JC Horn, give him some credit, man. There’s a reason that kid’s considered one of the best corners in football. If not, some people believe he is the best corner in the NFC. So JC Horn gives credit. He got that pick after that trick play that was underthrown. He caught up to it. Got a pick later on in the game. So actually the first one he was trying to throw it to to Josh Reynolds after the the missed Josh Reynolds, excuse me. So the missed deep ball to to Alan Lazard on a trick play. Underthrows it completely. Probably should have been picked off to be honest with you. And then he underthrows this second ball deep ball where he has Reynolds open in the end zone, but he lofts the ball again, Frankie, and it and it gets picked off and you’re like, what the hell are we doing here? And then Tyrod again just throws another interception targeting Josh Reynolds deep down. I mean, he’s trying to make something happen. I get it. And that’s part of what I’m trying to say in the beginning of this is that what did you expect? What did did you expect with Tyrod Taylor, Justin Fields, Josh Reynolds, Aren Smith, the rookie? Awful. Tyler Johnson is your leading receiver. What are we doing? This is a tank job, but you’re just not telling us it’s a tank job. So, either you’re So, maybe Glenn doesn’t know it’s a tank job. That’s So, that’s what I want. Are you so incompetent as a head coach and a GM? Because we all know Glenn’s pulling the strings here. Are you so incompetent at your job that you thought this was going to be a real competitive team which you put together in the preseason? This felt like a preseason game today. I thought I was watching backups against backups today. It did. It did. There’s no one in the stands. Who the hell wants to watch this crap? Who? This is fireball. This is what I’m saying though, Frankie. I’ve reached my boiling point with the Jets as a franchise because this is a joke. They are a joke and I hate wasting my Sundays on this goddamn franchise. Aaron Glenn should get fired after this today. Fired. Done. Wow. I’m done with him. He has proven nothing as a head coach and he’s clearly proven he doesn’t know how to put together an offense. Good for him. He scouted offense when he started his professional career after playing. Clearly, he didn’t know what the hell he was looking at. Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields. How am I not supposed to be angry about this? I’m supposed to be okay with that, Frankie. I’m watching a different sport, I feel like, when I put on any other football game. How is that okay? This cannot be acceptable. How is Woody Johnson not saying something here? How are you not freaking out? It’s a billion-dollar franchise that you’re literally seeing go down the toilet because you’re letting incompetent people run your franchise. It’s a joke, man. I feel like it’s a joke that they’re playing on us. And I can be so stressed and angry about it because because we want to care. We want to see them win. Is it really that hard? They make it seem like it’s a different freaking sport. Yeah. And they do nothing. They do nothing uh talent-wise with that roster to give them to help them at all. You’re putting out there Tyrod Taylor, Justin Fields, Josh Reynolds, Tyler Johnson, Allen Lazard. Are you damn kidding me? Are you joking? That’s like saying, “Oh, I want to go beat a D3 college basketball player. You know what? I’m going to put I’m going to tie my arm behind my back. I’m gonna play with one arm.” Also, I might not I’m probably not going to win. I could I could play a little ball, by the way. I could play a little ball, but um I’m going to put an arm. I’m going to tie an arm behind my back. That’s what the Jets do. They do no favors for themselves. There is nobody Ryan consulting the owner to make him understand or that group to make them understand. The Johnson brothers or whoever you want, hyd sucks. He’s always sucked. He went four and two last year and they still got rid of him. Guy had five touchdowns, one interception cuz he’s not throwing the ball anywhere down the field. They wanted to move on and they did in season. Then this year they moved on. We thought, “Oh, we know so much. Aaron Glenn knows so much. Uh Tanner Angstrand knows so much. Darren Muji, we’re going to bring Justin Fields in as a reclamation project. And we’re going to be the ones to to to get him to what he should have been coming out of the draft. We’re going to put him to that caliber of quarterback. We’re going to Muji said we’re going to turn him into what Sam Darnold turned into and what Baker Mayfield.” you have the gall, the nerve to bring up Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield and that you guys at One Jets Drive are going to turn that kid into one of those kind of players. Both, by the way, are MVP candidates this year in case people want to in case nobody realizes. Um, and then speaking of MVP candidates, the head coach last week comes out and talks about the fact that Justin Fields holds on to the ball too long, but but so does Josh Allen. So does Lamar Jackson. I I’m glad I had no content being done or we did nothing really within that period because I would have lost my damn mind when he said that. Kind of curious what he’s about to say now cuz uh shout outs to you. You always do a good job with that. But Ryan, this team they are, you know what they are? I got one word for you for the New York Jets right now. One word starts with an I. Idiots. This team they are idiots. So if you say what’s the problem with the Jets, the team, the people running the team, everyone from top to bottom, idiots. That’s it. And you’re going to get an 0 and 17 team. This team’s going to go two and 15. That’s that’s what they’re going to go. They’re going to go 0 and 17. I mean, if you can’t beat a team like beat the Carolina Panthers with their backup quarterback in for two quarters, you held them to 13 points. I was thinking 0 and 17. I just think the defense looked pretty good today. So, I’m kind of And they looked good last week. By the way, we haven’t scored a touchdown in two games. The hell am I watching? We didn’t sack the quarterback till three three minutes left in the third quarter. So, even if you say the defense was looking good, we didn’t sack him till the third quarter. Till three minutes left. They didn’t create a turnover today, did they, Frankie? Did I miss a turnover the Jets created? No, I don’t think they did. Incompetence. idiotic, asinine, any adjective you want to put to this Jets franchise, use them all. This is a joke. I’m sorry I’m laughing. I kind of I have a nervous laugh. So, that’s more like me just laughing out of uh You want to hear what the [ __ ] Aaron Glennett say after the game? Offensively, we have a lot of work to do. Yeah. No crap. That’s That speaks for itself. We all know that. Oh, I’m glad you’re acknowledging the obvious. Uh, uh, Glenn’s on his call to make a quarterback change today. Quote, “We needed a spark at the time. I felt it was the right time to do it.” Yeah, it wasn’t a right. Why wasn’t a right time to do it before kickoff? You should have done it earlier in the week. It would have made a difference. It wouldn’t have made I mean, it wouldn’t have made a difference, but at least you give you Listen, Aaron Glenn’s job, I’m going to say it quickly, his job is to win football games. That’s his job. Because if he doesn’t and he does go 0 and 17 like some people think like you just brought up he’ll be out of a job. He’ll make a lot of money. Good for him. More money than he deserves, but he’ll be out of a damn job. So I don’t care what’s the right thing to do for Justin Seek who is getting 30 million guaranteed bucks. By the way, he’ll be okay. Justin Fields. Your job this week was to figure out if Justin Fields, without Garrett Wilson, without Garrett Wilson, if he was mentally prepared and ready to throw for 150 yards. This guy, he threw how many yard? This guy’s got 46 yards today. He threw for 45 the week before. Uh, two weeks before that, three weeks before that, 27 yards. This is an NFL quarterback on a game log. 27 yards, 45 46. Are we joking? Is is is this real life? What is going on here? I see college quarterbacks better than this guy Fields. I watched uh Mendoza, Fernando Mendoza look like Justin Fields will never look in his in his life on his best day. He’ll never look like Mendoza looked. He’ll never look like Dante Moore looked. He’ll never look like Matier looked yesterday. He won’t even look like the the kid in uh the kid in Duke Mensah. He doesn’t even look that good. And this is the guy that you want you’re telling us is going to change the culture here. I don’t think he I don’t even think they think that. I think they thought he shouldn’t be here. You know what it was? I think they thought it was arrogance. I I That’s what I’m calling this arrogance from the Jets. And it’s arrogance from Aaron Glenn who thought coming into this this job right Frankie is his first NFL head coaching job. He thought he can come in here take on all the stigmas all the noise all that comes with being the Jets head coach and say I’m good on Aaron Rogers. I’m good on Devonte Adams who caught three touchdown passes today and Aaron Rogers who looked like a 25-year-old self in Thursday night football. I’m good on those guys. I know what I’m doing offensively. We’re going to go get Justin Fields. Excuse me. What? Justin Fields. Is that the guy who looks like a bust out of Chicago and Pittsburgh was ready to get right out of the door? That guy? Yeah, we’re gonna go with Justin Fields. Okay. Are you gonna bring competition for Justin Fields? Because Tyrod Taylor is he can’t stay healthy and he hasn’t really proved much lately as a as a backup. No, no, no. We’re we’re good with Tyrod Taylor. So, we’re going to go with Justin Fields and Tyrod Taylor. Thatcher playing at quarter quarterback. Yes. Yes. Okay. What are you going to do at wide receiver? You gonna I mean, you got Wilson. You guys are going to need another wide receiver if you get rid of Dvonte Adams, right? Yeah. I got the perfect two receivers to bring in. Oh, really? Who is that? Well, it’s these guys called Josh Reynolds and and and and let’s not forget Tyler Johnson. Tyler Johnson. Those two guys. Really? Guys who barely made their own teams previously. You want to go with journeyman like that? Don’t you think you may want to draft a receiver high? Maybe potentially a Mikabuka’s out there. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We’re going to draft a tight end in the second round. a tight end? Really? Is it gonna be Tyler Warren? No, no, no, no. We’re gonna get to get get to get Mason Taylor in the second round. We don’t need Tyler Warren. He only looks so good in Indianapolis. What about the rest of your receiving core? Like, are you know, you guys got a lot of running backs. Do you think you should give the ball a bunch to Bree Hall this season? No. Our running back rotation is going to be a lot of Isaiah Davis, maybe some of some of uh a guy who’s now hurt and Brilen Allen. We’re going to mix those guys in a bunch. You know, we don’t want we don’t want Breeze to get too many carries here. He’s only one of those special talents at running back position. That was the effing plan from Aaron Glenn and Tanner Angstrand. Can I add one more? And Darren Muji. Can I add one more to to this master plan you just broke down so so eloquently? Can I add one more? Oh, you know what? We don’t need to draft a quarterback. Why would we draft a quarterback? We have Justin Fields. He’ll manage to play the whole year. Idiots like me are saying, you think by week six or seven, I literally said that, by the way. And I said, “By week six or seven, you’re going to want to bench this guy because he’s going to show you 90.” But just like I said, six or seven just like it was week six or seven with Pittsburgh. [ __ ] repeats itself. Nothing’s going to change. Only insane people think things the same things change. Um what where are we going to go now? I I I asked people where we bring him in. Yeah, go ahead. Bring them in. They didn’t want to draft Shador Sanders. Pick them up. Pick them up. you. I love that scene, by the way. Pick him up. Pick him up. Uh, uh, Riley Leonard, he’s their backup now. Riley Leonard passed Anthony Richardson on the Colts step chart, in case anyone cares. I’m the probably the only idiot that cares about that. However, uh, you didn’t want Shador. Okay. You don’t want Riley Leonard, Will Howard? No. He just went on an epic run, winning a national championship. We don’t need that guy. No, we got Tyrod backing up this elite quarterback in Justin Fields. Ryan, I said it to you after week two or three. Um, and you I think you agree with me. When you have stupid decision after stupid decision after stupid decision, stupid decision, stupid a list of stupid decisions, what do you think happens when you did 15 to 20 stupid things? You get stupid teams. You get stupid results. You get 0 and7. That’s it. The Jets are just a multitude of of stupid after stupid after stupid decision. That’s why I said this team, someone said, “I incompetent.” Yeah. idiots, incompetent. It is what it is. And I’m not even saying that disrespectfully. It is idiotic idiotic to think that Justin Fields was going to solve an offensive uh you know, he’s gonna was going to come in and be able to solve your problems on offense. This is without a wide receiver, too. Like, come on. The Jets are right now, this year, this season, the way they attack the offseason, Frankie. This is the embodiment, the living embodiment of the Step Brothers meme about the tuxedos in the interview. Yeah. Tuxedos kind of seem a little effed up now, don’t they? Yeah. Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields kind of seem a little effed up right now, that decision. And we’re allowed to have revisionist history. And you and people can say, “Well, that’s not fair. You can’t just have, you know, have this, you know, revisionist and and and and talk about what they made and decisions. Look, it’s seven straight weeks of this garbage. And this is the thing I would hold to Aaron Glenn, you know, he could always go back to, well, we’re in these one-sore games and all that. Your offense is so pathetic that it can’t move the ball when it needs to in competitive games. The only time your offense actually does anything in these games, Frankie, is in garbage time. But you don’t understand garbage time or don’t acknowledge garbage time or don’t even want to say garbage time is a real thing because you’re too smart for us. Aaron Glenn, that’s the vibe he gives off, man. And you know, like he’s asked right now in postgame, Frankie. He was asked if he’s concerned players will have a difficult time receiving his message as the losses continue, which is a valid question because you’re worried about losing the locker room. 0 and7 for the third time in franchise history. This is this is bad territory, man. Horrible territory. So he’s asked about that and he goes, “I don’t see that.” Meaning, I don’t see my players losing my message because the message has always been consistent. He says, “These players are not giving up at all.” You know what I saw today? I saw Bree Hall. I saw Sus Gardner who’s got concussion. I saw other players on this field today who look like they gave up. That’s what it looked like today. A concussion, quote a concussion. And I don’t like saying that because I don’t like to speculate. I don’t speculate. No, they they I got a few texts today. Glenn said he has concussion, but they look like they gave up today, man. And that’s where I really start to wonder if you’re you’re the guy. And I don’t think he’s the guy. I think we’re getting the answer about Aaron Glenn real quick here. Again, if you go 0 and 17 with this team, you deserve to get fired. And like I screamed earlier in this episode in this postgame live show, I would fire Aaron Glenn. What he’s doing right now is ahead. It’s It’s You would fire him tomorrow. I would. I can’t do this anymore, man. This experiment I like I like I like I like the This experiment is dying fast. It’s dying fast. Frankie, what hope do you have as a franchise to sell to your fan base? This is what we’re going with again next year. This This is what we’re going with next year. Oh, you’re still paying Justin Fields $20 million next year. Oh, and you still have what? a $39 million cap pay from Aaron Rogers next year because you decided to cut him this off season when you made him fly across the country and then you walked out of the meeting as soon as it started and said, “Hang on, let me go grab the GM.” Yeah, we’re not going to do this. We’re going to cut your ass. That’s what we’re That’s what we’re going with here. It’s arrogant. It’s idiotic. And I could say it as loud as I want because Aaron Glenn can say, “These are naysayers. These are people who aren’t inside this building. They don’t know the message.” I can see BS when I see it. And I’m calling BS on Aaron Glenn right now. His message isn’t resonating. The players clearly aren’t getting any better, Frankie. And we’re not seeing any better play. You had how many penalties again today? And how many of them cost you? Yeah, always momentum killing penalties. Every single time they they get a nice first down, it’s a first and 15 because someone jumps off sides or it’s an illegal formation. Um Ryan, listen, I respect where you’re coming from. I I I respect the the kahunas to to come out and say that you would fire Glenn tomorrow. Um I’ll say this, this looks like a retread of the Robert Salah years. This even worse. This looks exactly today looked exactly like a Robert Salah team. Last week a Robert Salah team. Even worse though. Even worse to a degree because at least you have some talent that’s been around for a while. They wanted to go out and pay some guys and keep some guys around. Um yeah, it’s bad, man. It’s bad. I mean, yeah, there’s unless Aaron Glenn strikes lightning in a bottle with a quarterback. Let’s just call him Spade of Spade. What makes you Can I ask you Can I ask you a honest question here? Yeah, you I know what you’re going to ask. Go ahead. What gives you confidence he’s actually going to pick the right quarterback and develop them? I have I have I have an answer. I don’t have confidence, but I have confidence in the draft cycle, in the scouting circles, in the scouting process that hopefully we get the number one pick and it’s clearly going to be Fernando Mendoza or Dante Moore or maybe Matier. But I’m just hoping that you almost can’t screw it up like it’s like uh it’s like Trevor Lawrence, Andrew Luck, Buddy, we’re just Have you seen Have you seen how we handled the draft? Oh, dude. You don’t have Zack Wilson, Sam Darnold, Mark Sanchez, I mean, Christian Hackenberg. We can go down the list, dude. It’s insane. The Jets don’t know how to draft a quarterback. And it’s the same ownership group last I checked. So, what makes you think this front office and this GM and this head coach are going to pick the right team and pick the right quarterback? They chose Justin Fields. Okay. It It looks It looks horrible over this. It’s horrific to the fake degree. You put all your eggs in this basket with Justin Fields. And don’t tell me it’s a one-year thing. You’re paying him $20 million next year. Think about that. They guaranteed him 30 mil, Ry. Imagine guaranteeing a guy that should be getting paid $4 to5 million. You’re guaranteeing him $30 million. That’s Aaron Glenn’s fault. That’s on Aaron Glenn completely. Muji, remember, is his sidekick. Let’s all remember that quote because Aaron Glenn is is is so brilliant, right? When Aaron Glenn speaks, he he sounds so brilliant. Everybody, I’m sure he crushed those interviews with with the 303. Who interviewed this guy? How did this guy go? You know who interviewed him? What what is he pounding his chest? Everyone gets all scared. They think what uh they think the NFL now is what like football was 20 years ago. Please, if you can’t dial up something offensively, do not be the head coach of my team. Please, if you don’t understand anything about offensive concepts, your brain can’t put together X’s and O’s or you don’t care to cuz you’re Mr. Tough Guy, get out of here. I’m sick of tough guys and you’re not Bill Parcels. You never were, you never will be. Please. And those guys, Bill Parcels and Bellich, we see those guys now. He’s comparing himself to Tony Dunie, too. Remember when he said he talked to Tony Dunie as well? Yeah. Yeah. He No, he’s Dan Campbell. Excuse me. Sorry, we forgot that one. That’s another one. Always comparing himself to the Lions right now. And and and I I I truly wonder right now, even IQ-wise, football IQ-wise, right? There’s something you could try cuz right now I know you can’t build a team. I know Aaron Glenn cannot build a competitive team right now. I see the product he put out there. He decided to go with this as his as his as his run for the 2025 team. That’s what you chose. And clearly you are not good at evaluating quarterback. If you thought Justin Fields actually gave you a chance to win football games and you’ve already pulled you’ve pulled the Justin Fields cord. You’ve pulled the rip cord seven weeks in. Frankie, you’re already on Tyrod Taylor. You’re getting questions about are you going to go back to to Justin ever? What he said? This he he said this is my decision and something that I have to make and I’m going to have those conversations with myself and continue to have those conversations. Oh, so when Ka asked him last week that question, that was such a ridiculous Sorry to cut you off. That was such a ridiculous question. Brian Costello, shout outs to the New York Post Sports, by the way. Thanks for everyone tuning in. I’m always happy for the opportunity to come on with this fine gentleman here. Uh, last week, Brian Costello asked Aaron Glenn, “Oh, did you think about maybe going to Tyrod in the second half?” What kind of question is that? Are you kidding me? Oh my god, no. Come on. What are you stupid? And then this week he makes that move. That shows you that this guy really has no idea what he’s doing. I would have respected him almost more if he didn’t put in Tyrod this week to say this is my foundation to how I think. We got to build this kid up. No, he’s going to go wherever the wind sailing. You know, that’s it. He’s easy. He’s a sailboat. He’s he’s a big sailboat. He’s a tough sailboat. He’s bulky, but he’ll he’ll go wherever the winds are settling. He’s he’s he’s he’s got no foundation. He because he doesn’t know what he’s doing. I I want to give him I wanted to give him a chance. I really did. But I’ve seen enough. You didn’t throw a Hail Mary at the end of the first half. You had a chance. You had the ball. What do you do, Frankie? What did they do? Didn’t even throw a Hail Mary at the end of the first half. You’re down. You’re desperate to make something happen. You chose not to throw a Hail Mary at the end of the first half. So even football IQ-wise, what are you pro providing to this team right now? What and how can you honestly look us in the face as fans and say this is what I wanted you to be proud of as a fan base. This product 0 and7 start in franchise history. It’s tied for the worst start in franchise. It’s the third time they’ve started the season 0 and seven. This in my lifetime is the worst worst than the Adam Gays 2020 season. I don’t care what anyone says. This is worse. Yeah. Yeah. And listen, I’ll say this. That defense get into the game a little bit. That defense did all they could today to put that offense in a position to please just score a touchdown. Score one measly touchdown, which we couldn’t do today, and we’ll win the football game. And they really couldn’t. Again, like that we’ve seen this script before. Now it’s like the Jets have progressed into the Robert Solid days where the offense can’t seem to do anything and the defense looks pretty good. Seems like that Wilks message is maybe being a little received. Um and changing a few things and running some man today effectively. I think that’s a little bit of fool’s gold though. I’m going to be honest. I mean it could be. We’ll know. I’m saying but the very good the Panthers and the Broncos offenses have not been lighting the world on fire. I’ll be honest with you guys. You’re right. I agree with you there. Yep. But I will say I will say this though, they need right now Darren Glenn needs to make sure that those defensive guys because you see Quinnon Williams, you saw him today, he played his ass off a bit and him talking to Bree on the sideline at a point. You got to get those defend, you know, th those defensive players to want to buy into your message because them playing as hard as they did today and you losing another game where you couldn’t score a touchdown, that’s a bad reflection of you. Those defensive guys don’t care to wait. So, it’s almost better if uh the defense gets blown out. They could blame themselves and then the offense will blame themselves and everyone goes home and everyone’s wrong. That sometimes is the best way to do it. Everyone’s wrong. No one’s blaming any. How can I blame you when I when I sucked? How can you blame me when you sucked, etc. No, no, no. The offense sucked again today. It’s a repeat. And you’ll see the defensive players are not going to like it. They’re not. They’re going to go in there and be like, “This coach, this How can you? your offense didn’t do anything again as as your if you’re a defense right now Jamie Sherwood played really well again today I thought Quinnon Williams played s had a couple nice plays didn’t sack the quarterback though uh and they didn’t get many pressures on the quarterback and considering Bryce Young left the game in the third quarter midway in the third quarter with a ankle injury and you had Andy freaking Dalton that’s who you let beat you at the end of the game like that just I I what else am I supposed to say about this team And I hate the patience word. I’m impatient because I’ve seen enough of this. I saw 2020. I lived through it. I lived through these Jets being absolutely the worst franchise in NFL the last 15 years. I’ve seen it. But when is enough enough, Frankie? Ryan, it’s one winning season in 15 years. One one season above 500 in 15 years. It’s not that hard to win football games. I’m telling you right now, it’s not. They could have won. They should have won last week. They should have won this week. These They make it seem like are not Yeah. Carolina wasn’t ready to win three games in a row. Carolina gave us the game at the end. They kept they absolutely gave us the game. Go, go, please. And then we just uh we don’t throw interceptions until things get tight, right? And and and you said this to your credit. You go, “We crumble before the second half.” Um and then crumble. How about that before? Talk about that. Talk about that. What did Aaron Glenn say to us media and fans before the season? The sign of the sign of a very good or great head coach is how they operate within four minutes of both s. So after last four minutes of the first half, last four minutes of the game. That’s the sign, the telltale signs of a good head coach. You’ve been awful. Awful in those moments. Awful. So, by your own standard, by your own words, you’re the worst head coach in football, which is which isn’t even a stretch. I mean, I I if you had to ask me right now, Frankie, or we ask you, Ryan, please go out there and give me a list of if you had to start a team tomorrow, which head coaches would you want? Aaron Glenn is 32. And I’m not even thinking. I’ll start from 32. I’ll put him right there. That’ll be my number one pick right off the bat. Aaron Glenn 32. That’s it. Yeah. But un but look listen if you feel as strongly as you do shout outs to the chat gangs came in strong again. Thank you. Thank you all for for joining us in in more misery. Um but Ryan, if you feel as strongly as you do that Aaron Glenn should be out. You want him out? Make sure that Woody Johnson’s ready to write that checkbook, man, because he’s going to have to pay a lot of money for that. It ain’t my money. It’s his money, though. Okay. You don’t know how he wants to spend his money. And he spent a lot of money on that 33rd team. He that 33rd team, they got a nice little check from Woody for all those interviews. And then did you see who got a job after interviewing for a Jets head coach for the 33rd team? Yeah. Who got a job with the Jets? Yeah, Spielman. I saw Oh, okay. Okay. I know. I’m The guy The guy who’s on the interviewing committee got a job with the Jets after he h helped hire the Jets head coach. What am I doing, dude? Ryan, it’s a disaster, man. all over the place, brother. And you’re listening to Mike Tannenbomb, the guy who claims he was two back-to-back AFCO championship game GM for the Jets. Now, you did him dirty. He publicly claims that that guy took rolled the tail coats of literally Eric Manius, a guy who knows football and got ran out of this this town because of his attitude. So, you want to talk about a guy who’s got a bad attitude, it’s Aaron Glenn. Aaron, I’ve I I can see fake. You know what? Aaron Glenn’s a very tough guy. I know it. He played football, but I’ve he gives off this fake tough guy vibe, man. Where he just talks ball, says, “We’re going to be gritty. We’re going to be good. We’re going to do this.” I’m heartbroken, man, over this team because I’m watching this coach fumble this team just like they fumbled the ball all the time on the field and throw bad interceptions and can’t perform offensively. He fumbled this roster, man. We all know who has control of this roster. It’s Aaron Glenn. Don’t try to spin this any other way. Go ahead. Hands up. Hands up. Uh, I want to do my my my weekly drive chart breakdown of the Jets offense. Can I go through the drive chart? Go ahead, please. I’ve been looking forward to this. Okay. Jets drive chart today, everybody. Drive chart time. Yay. Start the game. Downs. Punt. Field goal. Punt. Punt. End of half, punt, interception, field goal, interception, punt. That is your New York Jets offense today, everybody. Brought to you by Aaron Glenn and Darren Muji because they just love them some Justin Fields and they thought Tyrod Taylor would be the perfect backup and they didn’t want to draft a quarterback, right? How cool would it have been? How freaking awesome would it have been today if Riley Leonard came in in the fourth round? Stop with Riley Leonard. Shador Sanders was there, man, for freaking four rounds. Sorry. Go go go to Shador Sanders. Whatever, dude. That’s not a real quarterback, Ry Leonard. We I I will guarantee you Shador plays more sn starts in the NFL than Riley Leonard. We’ll make that bet. We’ll make that bet. I’ll I’ll bet you a case of wine. A case of wine. Yeah. All right. What’s the What’s the bet? Who’s going to start in our lifetime? Who starts more games in their career? All right. A case of wine. Yeah. A baro. Case of Barolo. I don’t know how much this is going to cost me, but sure. We’ll do Barbaresco. It’s a little cheaper. Barolo. It’s It’s not going to kill you. Okay. Handshake. All right. All right. Enough with the Riley Leonard talk. All right. No one’s clamoring for Riley. I’m Ryan. I’m just giving an example though. I want They chose not to draft. It would have been nice in this game to see some a young quarterback yours went in today. Dylan Gabriel played today and won a football game. That’s what I’m saying, man. That’s exactly what I’m saying. Like it’s just it’s arrogance to the highest highest degree from Aaron Glenn. Arrogance. And then at the same time, it’s incompetence on how they run the offense. Arrogance in thought what they thought they could put together the offense. Incompetence on how they actually put this offense together on executionwise. Uh Justin Fields can’t spell arrogance without Aaron. Yeah, that’s for damn sure. I mean, look, dude. Uh Justin Fields 6 of 12, 46 passing yards, three sacks. Justin Fields was asked after the game uh if he can explain why the Jets are not scoring an offensive touchdown the last two weeks. He says, “How do I explain it? We didn’t get in the end zone. There’s a lot. I don’t mean to be rude, but there’s no explanation to be honest with you. No, there’s plenty of explanation, buddy. You just suck. That’s the truth. That’s the explanation. Tyrod says, “Overall, we’re just not finishing well.” Justin has asked if he felt the benching was warranted. He said, quote, “It’s not my decision. I’m here to be the best teammate I can be. I’m here to be the best person I can be.” How are you not pissed off right now that you just got benched if you truly think you’re that good and you should be a starting quarterback? He knows he’s not. He know he listen, you could just tell that kid’s lost all faith in himself as a quarterback. It sucks to see. I got that feeling from him last year in Pittsburgh. He couldn’t believe that he was benched for Russell Wilson. I mean, Mike Tomlin didn’t even blink at that decision. Once Russell Wilson was cleared and he was healthy, he put Russell Wilson right in. Um Dustin Fields’s career is kind of going to end up with him being a backup somewhere. Um he’s got injury problems, too. He can’t seem to stay healthy. He’s had injury problems really his whole career for the most part. Nothing catastrophic, but he can’t just consistently get out there every Sunday. You can’t depend on him to. So, um, yeah. I mean, listen, he made his money though. We gave him 30 million guaranteed dollars. And I hate bringing that up, but I’m not going to feel bad for someone who I think really did get a bit overpaid as a quarterback. Um, and people are asking me about like, oh, who could they have brought in last year as a free agent quarterback? You could have brought in a ton of guys that could have at least given you a little bit more flexibility in what you could do with Tanner Angstrand. You know, you could have even brought in M. Jones was a good quarterback he could have maybe brought in to run that offense. Jameus Winston, Cooper Rush isn’t the worst quarterback. Drew Lock. I mean, I’m not like clamoring for these guys, but at least these guys can run a traditional pass pro offense. Didn’t Daniel Jones, wasn’t he a free agent when he signed? I know he got traded and then he was signed in the free. You could have you could have signed him. Look what he’s doing right now with the Colts. Daniel Jones is playing phenomenal ball. Bro, you couldn’t tell me Daniel Jones would have been a good fit for this offense? He signed a one-year $14 million deal with the Colts. I mean, that’s that’s really that’s basically on par with what uh Fields is making. Actually, he’s making less than Fields. He’s making less than Fields, but but you you’re telling me Daniel Jones wasn’t a good fit for this offense? He’d be a great fit for this offense. Yeah. I mean, you’re going to be throwing no screen passes. You’re not you’re not going to run the ball at all. Yeah. And basically, you’re not going to use Bree Hall. You could be a perfect fit for this offense. Just got to throw a couple of interceptions and take a bunch of sacks. Let’s also be honest with the offensive line. Has not been great the last two weeks. Not two good showings for now. And the Panthers defense did not have many sacks this year. So again, if you want to talk about regression, this Jets defense took this Jets offense took another step back in terms of the offensive line. They’ve looked very shaky here at the bookend sides uh in pass and it’s just they they’re letting pressure up the middle. They’re letting pressure off the edge. Yeah, they’re struggling a bit, but I don’t know if that’s because the quarterbacks though are just quarterbacks. Tyrod holds on to the ball forever, too, man. He’s he’s got the same kind of issues that Fields has. Yeah, I mean, we’ll get the average time to throw for Tyrod as well if these quarterbacks are both on the high ends of holding the ball too long again. But again, one, it’s it’s like the yin and yang, right, Frank? If you had signed a goddamn wide receiver in the offseason to go with Garrett Wilson, a real wide receiver, you would have had an actual chance in this game who someone who can actually separate from a defender. Not three wide receiver threes in Reynolds, Lazard, and freaking Tyler Johnson who’s probably a wide receiver four, five. I Yeah. Every fans see this, right? Like the fans see the tape. We watch the All 22. We see when players can separate. You have assembled a roster that is so bad offensively that it makes me wonder, do you actually know what you’re doing? And that’s how we question you as a head coach and Italian evaluator. So that’s why I’m calling for his job because I’ve seen enough where if you think this was actually a good job in the off season, then you really don’t know what you’re doing. I agree. And shout outs to this uh Garrick Clemens fellow in the chat. He’s a Panthers fan. He goes, “We played horrible today and still won. Our defense played good. Our offense did horribly.” Um I’ll say this, your defense played good to to their credit to a degree, but our offense is that bad. So, I’m just letting you know like don’t don’t take what your defense did today as like a blueprint to what you have to expect from them weekly because we couldn’t even run the ball today, which is another point I wanted to bring up. Bree Hall 11 carries for 38 yards. That is not good enough. I know he got a little banged up before the half. So, I get that that kind of changed things a bit, but Justin Fields only 22 yards rushing on the ground. We do our overunders. He was at 40. Um they didn’t even basically got half of that. Uh obviously was benched so that affects that. But, uh you got to get something going on the ground. And that’s where this offensive line, Ryan, I think concerns me more. um uh concerns me a little bit more in how they run block than pass blocking. I think pass blocking they’re at the mercy of Justin Fields holding on to the ball uh back there and wanted to sit down for a cup of coffee and Tyrod does the same kind of thing. Coming into the game, Carolina had five sacks on the year. They had more than that in one game today. They had six. Um and that’s not all on the Jets offensive line. This quarterback play is is is atrocious. And when you can’t run the ball, that further worsens how bad that passing game looks because there is no threat of the run. Um, I mean, man, they don’t even have to play two deep safeties against us. If you look around the NFL defenses when they’re lining up against opposing teams, they’re playing those two deep safeties. They’re trying to cover those half of the fields deep. They don’t need to do that against us. They can man up. You think these receivers, you think Smith is being someone down the field? You think Alan Lazard is? And when they do, they got underthrown today twice. And correcting myself from earlier, Ryan, that trick play, that underthrown ball to Allen Lazard, that uh was on that trick play, the next play, not a play or two later, it was a next play he underthrew for that interception to JC Horn to Josh Reynolds in that deep uh middle part of the field. This point, the New York Jets are the worst team in football. And uh I don’t even think it’s close because if you want to point to Miami who got their doors blown off today, Miami outclassed us three weeks ago. So I mean uh I I don’t know what this team needs to do. I don’t know if they should fire the coach tomorrow. And if they did, I wouldn’t care. I don’t They’re not firing him tomorrow. I’m being ridiculous. I know you’re saying that, but I’m I’m just saying they’re not Stop. Stop. What? They’re not firing him tomorrow. They’re going to They’re going to think about firing him in the offseason if he does go 0 and 17. Yeah, he’s got eight more games of this crap. And that’s the hard part about this is that we nine more games. We have nine games of this [ __ ] that we got to watch. Like I’m not I’m not being 10 10 games. We’re 0 and seven. [Laughter] I know you don’t want to watch this. I don’t want to watch this anymore. Who wants to watch this? It’s empty stadium. It’s an empty stadium and that’s and that’s where I think this might push Woody Johnson to the to the ed the brink again because it’s getting so bad that the fans I first off I know I’ve I have seen it on social media there are droves and droves of season ticket holders who are cancelling their 2026 renewal and that is going to hurt one thing Woody Johnson’s pocket and that is how you truly make a change here. You hurt his pocket. If you hurt his pocket he will make a change. So Woody Johnson will know if he has the worst season ticket renewal his in his history of his franchise, which he might get next year and he has the worst amount of I don’t know hype going into next year because Aaron Glenn is still here, he will be forced to make a change. I’m just telling you right now. It also doesn’t help or helps us fans potentially for a change, but doesn’t help that the Giants have seem uh look to be kind of changing that culture a little bit. I mean, you bring in two rookies, guys with good energy, kind of change the vibe a little bit. I mean, they’re beating Denver right now pretty handily. It’s early in that game, but you got to change the culture, I think, uh sometimes, not only with coaches, but also with players. But your coaches have to identify the players, especially someone with Aaron Glenn, who is the guy, the CEO with all the keys. That’s the biggest mistake in all this. I think Aaron Glenn has to realize or the Jets have to realize that not only is this guy not suitable to be a head coach in in the NFL because situationally before the half, before the game ends. Um, another decision today, by the way, that was questionable. We spoke about this. I don’t want to harp on it too much, but in on that first drive, the Jets are on Carolina’s 33. On fourth and five, you could have taken a 50-yard field goal. Again, the math for everybody, the math, because I don’t know if Aaron Glenn knows the math. It’s plus 17. The end zone’s 10 yards and you go back seven. So, it’s plus 33 plus 17 is 50. They didn’t choose to kick a 50 yarder, which a lot of fans say they should have. Listen, even if they did, would that have made a difference? I don’t know. I mean, the the game was kind of teetering a bit at the end. It seemed like if we were gonna make a play and we did, maybe we could have, you know, squeaked this one out. But, um, that was a decision that Aaron Glenn could have made that I I maybe thinking back on it, I didn’t even realize it at the time, could have been the right decision. But, with that being said, not only is this guy not fit to be a head coach, situationally speaking, he’s not fit to make football decisions. all the football decisions that he talked to us about in the offseason. Justin Fields, he wanted to keep Lazard around. He didn’t want to move on from Xavier Gibson. I mean, we could go back and go through the list here, guys and gals, but um yeah, it’s uh it’s it’s low, man. It’s it’s it’s dark. This is this is rock bottom, brother. This is dark. I’ve never seen it this dark as a Jets fan. I haven’t. Same. I I I I agree. I’m a little older than you. Not it’s not even a I I don’t even care. No, there is no certainty in this draft right now for a franchise quarterback. You are taking literally a shot in the dark with any of these guys coming up. So even in a year when you’re probably going to go with one or two wins this year cuz I can’t see it on their schedule them winning more than one or two games right now. And if they actually win a game, not with this, not with the way they’re playing football right now. No way. And again, if Bree Hall gets hurt or Garrett Wilson stays hurt, they’re not winning a football game, Frankie. There’s no way. Not the way they’re playing. And they are not getting co being coached well either. They’re not being led by a general right now that they should be. His messaging clearly is not working for them. They’re still undisiplined. They have illegal shifts on offense. They have false starts. They got guys holding players. They got personal fouls. You got him yelling at other players like John Simpson on the sideline because they’re undisiplined. Nothing has changed. It’s only gotten worse and they’ve regressed. So, I have every right as a fan to say, “You should be fired after this season.” Yeah, I have every right because I am tired of watching this franchise just go about it in a different way than I’ve seen from any other franchise in the NFL. It’s just on another level. The way they’ve they’ve hired Aaron Glenn and Darren Muji, they hired him at the same time. Who does that? It’s so ass backwards. You’re supposed to hire the GM first, geniuses, and then you let the GM pick who he wants as a head coach. But no, you decided to go with Darren Glenn and then Darren Muji as a partnership. And I have zero confidence in these guys. And I I don’t understand how Woody Johnson can go into the offseason and say, “This is who I want. This is who I want leading my team.” How do your players How do you even sell this to your players next year? Who’s gonna want to sign here? Frankie as a free agent. Who? That’s a good point. Yeah. Yeah. Ryan, you’re spot on there, man. I’ve never seen a team look this bad when talent. Yeah. Lifeless when you’re considering talent. I mean, it seems like no one’s gotten better throughout the year. Nobody. Bree Hall doesn’t seem to be living up to Bree Hall standards. Nobody. The offensive line Olu is not really developing much. Simpson’s taking a step back. Titman’s taking a step back defensively. I mean, who’s really shining on defense? You’re not seeing anything. People aren’t happy with Sherwood. Quinn has then disappears. Sauce, uh, hasn’t had an interception yet this year. We don’t want to talk about that. We see JC, by the way, in the offseason, I’m getting into arguments about S being a top two or three corner, and I’m bringing up names like JC Horn. I got shut down so fast. JC Horn, are you kidding me? Look at Sauce when he does separation on PFF. Give me a goddamn break, please. I’m I’m sick of Sauce. I know he’s good. Very good. He’s not a game changer like JC Horn is. You want proof? Look at today’s game. Look how he turns his head around. Regardless, this team’s not getting better. Ryan, I don’t have a solution for you. The only solution I have is they if they’re if if if they need to do this, they they need to figure out personnel-wise players that they can audit this year and they have to play these guys a bunch like AZ Thomas’ and and etc. I know you love that play at the end there with Legette, but they have to see what they have out of these rookies. This is a complete audit year. This is what a rebuild looks like, Ryan. You play a lot of your young guys. You pay a lot of, you know, free agents that are young. you try to see what you got there. Might have to call signing guys. I mean, I don’t know. I don’t know. I mean, money talks, but it looks uh it looks dark. Um and then, you know, our schedule, it looks easier to a degree, but it’s not that easy. You’re going to play Cincinnati. We saw what uh Joe Cool did um on Thursday night. Joe Flacco, who fans wanted to keep around here, but that’s another Flaco and Rogers look perfectly fine and different. And mind you, two horrible situations in terms of what the quarterback position’s been lately in the Pittsburgh. Yeah. And in Cincinnati. And Cincinnati you could argue has been one of the most dysfunctional franchises in how they handle the quarterback because they haven’t helped Joe Burrow at all on the offensive line. But both of those guys were here. And guess what? Both of them lit it up on the scoreboard. Both of them look like they could play well in an offense. Instead, I got to watch Justin Fields can barely throw over 50 freaking yards, take three sacks. This offense is a joke. I’ve seen better play from goddamn ACC offenses. It’s a joke. It’s a It’s hard to be this bad offensively. Literally, it is hard to look this inept on offense. It’s hard. It’s hard to be 0 and7. It’s not easy. Adam Gase had a better freaking offense than this. Yeah. Yeah. You know what people You know what people people are going to make fun of us on this on this stream and be like, “You guys are overreacting. You guys are so ridiculous. They’re not going to fire Glenn.” What am I supposed to be talking about then? You tell me. What on this football team am I supposed to be happy about? I’m tired, Frankie. Football shouldn’t be this hard. I don’t have any else to say. I’m not giving flowers out. 0 and7 does not deserve any flowers segment. I’m sorry. That’s the truth of the matter. If you want to give them out, go for it. Can I give flowers out, please? I want to give flowers out to somebody. All right. And I’m going to give flowers out to one person who actually played pretty well today on offense, believe it or not. Believe. Who do you think I’m going to pick? There was one player today who had some nice plays today. A couple nice plays. My man Tyler Johnson. TJ baby. Number 16. Rocking that Tyler Lockett number. I love me some 16. Love that number. Um Tyler Johnson was targeted three times and like a good receiver. He caught all three of his balls for 60 yards. uh had some nice plays. Um hasn’t really been involved much today because uh in case people are wondering, Aren Smith didn’t have uh yard today. Arien Smith had one catch for zero yards. So at least Tyler Johnson out of all those receivers out there actually did a little bit of damage because Aren Smith finished with that one catch that screen that Tanner called that he didn’t get a yard on. Uh Mason Taylor at 31 yards under Josh Reynolds 29 yards. Another under Isaiah Davis 22 yards out of the back field. We don’t use him enough, but this offense stinks. So shitty offenses can never use players like that. But Tyler Johnson gets my flowers because the passing game today was uh almost as bad as it was the week before. And he was he got 60 yards. Who who would have saw that? [Laughter] You look like you’re gonna explode on something, Ry. Ryan, you know what? Why? Why? Uh, you know what? Can I say something? Can I just say something and try to be a, you know, I’m going to try to try to butter you up a little bit. Listen, you you’re right about a lot of things, right? You’ve been right. You were right about Rogers at times. You were right about uh how the beginning of the season would start, etc. You were right about a lot of things. You know, sometimes though when when I was saying before the year how bad this could look and that it’s a rebuild. Sometimes I know that you agreed with me. Like if you agree with me on most of the points, don’t agree with don’t disagree necessarily on the general point because we don’t want to go there. Like this was expected to a degree. Was this was it supposed to be this bad? No. But this guy’s got his work cut out for him. If Aaron Glenn thinks that this is going to get easier or you’re going to get some wins just because No, no, no. You got to put that work in. He’s got his work cut out for him. Whether you want to see it or whether I want to see it, it’s irrelevant. They’re end the rest of the year, they’re going to need results. And I don’t believe for one second that if this keeps looking this way, losing to teams like Carolina with their backup quarterback in, we’re just giving you the game. Denver last week gave you the game. Tampa, all he needed is one stop, but you had a win. You think Woody Johnson’s gonna settle for this? He’s gonna ask the 33rd team for a refund. That’s what he should do. I’m telling you, he ain’t going to settle for this. If it keeps looking this bad, I don’t think it will. I think they’ll gaslight us with some moments throughout the season, but if they have no moments to gaslight us with, they ain’t going to be able to sell us on this guy. And that stadium will really be empty come September 9th or whatever opening day is next year. So ah let’s see. I think he well said it uh said it well. Um Damen Woody also said it well uh saying this is this is a dark dark place for the Jets franchise and that’s saying something. That’s Woody Johnson, former Jets offensive lineman who was part of the AFC Championship games in 09 and 10. uh a guy who’s won a Super Bowl, ESPN personality, and the fact that he loves the Jets the way we do and he’s saying this is a dark dark place for the franchise and is saying something should tell you everything you need to know about this Jets team right now and where they’re going. I don’t see the light. I don’t think Frankie sees the light. The schedule, by the way, I know they’re saying this is where it lightens up. It’s not. You just see what Joe Flacco did with the Bengals. So, good luck against that. There’s a funny graphic I just saw online. It’s like Aaron Glenn at least did win something today. His challenges. He was two and 0 in challenges. Jets fans stick around with us all season long. Even though this is going to be pretty uh rough for us to go around and talk about this team. Uh, I would say the next 10 weeks, 11 weeks are going to be mostly about the draft, uh, in these postgame shows just because we don’t have much else to talk about on the field unless they change that, which I don’t see that coming anytime soon. We’ll see where they go with quarterback position, but who really gives a flying f what happens with the quarterback position at this point? It’s two duds at quarterback with Tyrod and Justin Fields. Um, they’re going nowhere very fast and the season is over for New York Jets. We can play the music if we want. Um, yeah. One last thing, Ray. Germaine Johnson just tweeted, “So, like I was discussing earlier in the post game. Um, these defensive players are going to start getting frustrated because they feel like the offense is letting them down, which ultimately falls on the head coach at the end of the day. We saw with Solid years, etc. You see it all the time.” Germaine Johnson tweeted, “Laying it all out there, man. Dot dot dot. Something got to give.” Yeah. I mean, that’s how the defense is going to feel. You can’t have those guys playing like that constantly going back onto the field and you can’t put together an offense that you can’t put together an offense that can score a touchdown. They cannot score a touchdown. Defense is going to start giving up on the head coach in that in that in that sense. But I think we’ve all sort of gave up on the season at this point. So, it is what it is. Yeah. I just wonder how many guys they’re going to end up trading um before the deadline. I think they’re going to look at a few options. Man, Germaine’s been rumored. He’s on his fifth year. We’re getting a little under $15 million. Bree Hall obviously um has been specul uh No, Germaine’s on his fourth year. He’s got his fifth year option next year. Yeah, he’s got a fifth year option next year. Yeah. Yeah. Making making around he should get a very good return. I wouldn’t trade him, but who the hell cares at this point? Like the Jets are not going anywhere. So, still a little more time. It’s November 4th, Tuesday. November. A little more time. It’s two weeks away, bud. Yeah. I’m just saying a lot of people think it’s like it’s looming. It’s it’s I mean a little more time. You got to make a game. Would you be shocked if they make a trade this week? Um no, I wouldn’t. Yeah, that’s what I’m saying. Like this is the time to move. Like you got to get they got to get I’m saying though like it’s you got this week, next week, and then the Tuesday. Yeah, it’s coming, but it’s not like it’s it’s not on Tuesday or you know the next Tuesday. It’s three weeks at from Tuesday. So, uh 400 p.m. I wouldn’t be surprised. Um but uh I also don’t expect them to make a trade this week. I think it’s going to be the following week. So, I think that Halloween week before the Halloween game, Halloween’s on Friday, by the way, the 31st. I think that week you’ll see a trade. You’ll see somebody. Um but also like you what we have to understand about this trade deadline is we don’t know what other teams are looking for. I mean, Bree Hall, for example, if a team like Washington wants Bree there, are they willing to part with a fourthrounder, a fifth rounder, because then they have to end up paying him also the extension that he’s looking for for the most part. They don’t have to, but they might just keep him on a loner, you know, half year, but h we’ll talk more about that as it gets closer. Uh, this is the gangs all here postgame live show. I’m Ryan Samson. That’s Frankie Vener from Stadium. Uh, I’m depressed. I can’t do this anymore, but uh I’m gonna log off and call it a night. Have a beer, Ry. I’m gonna have a Guinness. I’m gonna have a Guinness after this. Now we’re talking. Okay, my man. Pots and pans. Go watch some real football, people. Stop watching I’m going to be honest with you. Stop watching the Jets. Um you know, watch our content, you know, for offseason talk. We’ll tell you about the game. We’ll be here. Yeah, we’ll be here all all all year long doing a lot of uh content during the week. Try and tune in to the New York Post Sports YouTube channel. Uh hit that like and subscribe button. We’ll be here. Um, yeah. I don’t know what else to say. Frankie, last thoughts. Hey, last thoughts. Don’t be an idiot in life. That’s my last thought. Don’t be an Don’t make stupid decisions. You know, it’s okay to make one, but don’t make like 10 stupid decisions in a row. If you’re going to make a stupid decision, follow it up with a good decision. Don’t be like the Jets. You You become an idiot when you make too many stupid decisions. That’s That’s my thought. Keep pounding. Garrett said Ryan, keep pounding, baby. He’s a Panthers fan. Yeah, I know. I know. Go. Cheers, guys. Hang in there, Raphael. Shout outs to the gang, by the way, the chats. I see Bigsby. We had a bunch of people coming in. Mr. Lee, Sneaker Kid, what’s up, Pro? Shout outs to you guys. David Holloway is always in here. Shout outs.

Actually it's not the worst start in franchise history, y'all forgot 2020?
Hey at least the patriots still suck and don’t have a franchise QB
It's feels good to be a Giants fan now!!
The last perfect team left ….yeah baby, lets keep up the good work
I am a 63 year old Jets fan. Been one since I was 8. I agree. Glen should be fired
It caught me by surprise, too, but I think its clear the Jets went into the year knowing it was an evaluation/tank season and lied to all of us (including their locker room). This is rough man…another wasted season.
Just throw Brady Cook in at this point…
Sam was the guy. But when u give him Gase as the HC no1 can survive that.
Great job Panthers 🐾🐾
As a long suffering Bears fan who rooted his ass off for Justin, I could have told y’all that Justin can’t read the field and never plays on time. He’ll never be a successful NFL QB.
no its not a tank…..they suck ballzzz
My wife is a die hard Jets fan. I’m a die hard Bears fan. I follow the Jets pretty closely. I root for them, and this is a great podcast. Must listen every week. Our franchises are similar in many ways. What I find funny (it’s actually sad, but laughing is healthy) is most fans of teams relive and debate past winning teams. Our fans often debate which teams are the worse in our history. It sucks. It all starts with ownership, and both ownership groups are clueless. Keep up the great work, guys.
I’m not even a Jets fan and I feel bad for you guys.
What did Carolina do we came we saw we kicked your ass
The Jets aren’t winning
1 game this year
It’s over
It’s been over 😂😂😂
Ppl on Jakes show were so wrong about Frankie
Daniel Jones wouldn’t have signed with the Jets unless they vastly overpaid. He saw how tough New York is for 6 years, and the Jets weren’t exactly going to be good. Would you rather sign a short team deal with an offensive guy like Steichen or sign with Bill Parcells, Jr. AKA Aaron Glenn.
How do u guys get that coach & QB… I knew that when I first heard it. How?? He was thrown out from the bears. Run out of of town from Steelers & the jets make h the starting QB. Wow! That coach is all talk. U can tell he’s a wanna be tomlin. All talk & trying to act tough. He’s an idiot
NFL is HC and QB.. Jets HC and QB are both 32 of 32 at this point. Kevin O'Connell could get any QB to 7 wins. Glenn is so bad, he can't coach this team up to ANY wins!
You guys watch the games, so I don't have to.. Not worth wasting 3 hours of my day.. Lucky I'm in the pacific time zone, so if I actually do watch this garbage, it's over by 1pm and I have my day back.
Only suckers pay for Jets tickets..
You guys are much younger than me, and If I was 20 years younger I'd feel the same way. Now I'm reserved to the fact that it's garbage and have pushed it out of my life for caring. I don't care anymore, and I'm not going to waste the time or money on this team.
Woody has nobody advising him, and now he just accepts the smoke that Glenn blows up his ass.
This entire organization is completely fucked in so many ways. Unless someone from the league steps in like Rozelle did with George Young back in the day w the Giants, nothing will ever get better.
Football coaching circles is a "boys" club… Glenn and Tannenbaum are boys. This is how you get this mess. They went thru all these interviews and voila, Tannenbaum came up with one of his friends for the HC job. Amazing how that works!!
I think you're right, it's a tank season and AG and TE are in on it. 2 weeks in a row they let the clock run out instead of throwing a hail Mary before halftime. GW was frustrated with AG last week. Everyone frustrated this week.
I understand Ryan’s anger because we are all frustrated with the team. But there’s 47 minutes left to the broadcast and I’m not sticking around if he’s going to crash out the entire time. He sounds very upset, to the point he’s going to cry. As far as the Jets are concerned, I’m hoping Glenn is not the primary decision maker. If he is, then that’s a failure on the owner. He should have hired an experienced decision maker. Right now, the Jets are burning dumpster fire. Maybe Woody should start over and bring in someone who has experience with reclamation projects.
