What do the Dolphins do now? | The NFL Today
AND ON YOUR FIRST WIN. WE APPRECIATE IT. >> WHEN YOU LOOK AT WHAT’S GOING ON, KEVIN STEFANSKI HAS A YOUNG QUARTERBACK AND HE THREW THE BALL 18 TIMES, HANDED THE FOOTBALL OFF, I THINK HE’S BRINGING THEM ALONG JUST FANTASTIC. TALK ABOUT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BALL. >> MIAMI? >> MIAMI SAT THERE AND I THINK WE THOUGHT IT HAPPENED, INTERESTING TO SEE HOW THEY COME OUT AT HALF. THROUGHOUT THESE LOSSES THROUGH THE FIRST PART OF THE SEASON — THE SECOND HALF OF THAT GAME HE LOOKED ALMOST DISINTERESTED, THEY LOOK DEFLATED, ALMOST LIKE THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT IN THE TANK, ALMOST DISENGAGED. JUST TALKING THE WAY I SAW IT. HE TURNED THE BALL OVER FOUR TIMES, THE DEFENSE GAVE UP SOME BIG PLAYS. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS. A LOT OF TALK ABOUT THE LACK OF STRUCTURE THAT THEY HAVE INSIDE THE BUILDING BUT THE BOTTOM LINE — WE DON’T KNOW WHAT’S GOING ON INSIDE THE BUILDING BECAUSE WE ARE NOT THERE SEE THE PRODUCT THAT’S ON THE FIELD RIGHT NOW THERE ARE SOME ISSUES. >> I THINK IT WAS — QUITE FRANKLY BOTH THOSE TEAMS WERE IN THE SAME SITUATION COMING INTO TODAY. SAME RECORD, SAME LEVEL OF, YOU KNOW, STORY LINES, DIFFERENT THINGS THAT HAVE GONE ON, JOE FLACCO WAS TRADED. >> FRUSTRATION, DESPAIR, ALL OF THAT. >> AND THOSE TEAMS LOOK VASTLY DIFFERENT IN HOW THEY PLAYED. THE EFFORT, THE INTENSITY, THE INTEREST LEVEL, WHATEVER THAT MAY BE. I THINK THAT WAS ALMOST EVEN MORE GLARING TODAY BECAUSE BOTH TEAMS WERE IN THE SAME SITUATION AND YOU SAW ONE TEAM RESPONDED. ONE TEAM KIND OF BAND TOGETHER, FIGHT TOGETHER, GET THE BEST OUT OF WHAT THEY HAD THAT DAY AND YOU DON’T SEE THAT FOR MIAMI RIGHT NOW AND IT IS INTERESTING BECAUSE THERE IS STILL A LOT OF FOOTBALL TO BE PLAYED AND THERE’S A LONG WAY TO GO SEASON, AND WHEN YOU HAVE PERFORMANCES LIKE THAT, AND EFFORT LEVEL LIKE THAT, AND INTENSITY LIKE THAT FOR THE DOLPHINS IN THE SECOND HALF, SOMETHING NEEDS TO CHANGE. >> COACH, I LOVE THAT YOU MENTIONED THE SECOND HALF BECAUSE WE’VE BEEN AROUND THIS GAME A LONG TIME. WE KNOW OF THE ROOM IS RIGHT. GUYS ARE FRUSTRATED, MAYBE THROWING STUFF AROUND, WE ARE NOT GOING TO ASSUME WHAT HAPPENED IN THE LOCKER ROOM OR WHAT WAS SAID BUT WE DO KNOW THAT THERE WAS SOME TYPE OF MOTIVATIONAL TALK. >> THERE WAS A MESSAGE. >> THERE WAS A MESSAGE THAT WAS SENT FROM SOMEBODY WHETHER IT WAS YOUR HEAD COACH, ASSISTANT COACH OR THE LEADER IN THE LOCKER ROOM AND THEN THEY COME OUT, DID NOT RESPOND. THAT’S IS MORE ABOUT WHERE THEY ARE AT THIS POINT IN THE SEASON THAN ANYTHING ELSE AND LIKE MATT SAID, THERE’S A LOT OF FOOTBALL LEFT. MY REMINDER TO THESE YOUNG GUYS IS EVERY GAME IS YOUR RESUME. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE CIRCUMSTANCES, IT HAS YOU AT A POINT WHERE YOU ARE GOING HOME RIGHT NOW, YOU ARE LOOKING AT WAYS TO SHIFT YOUR CAR, YOU ARE ALREADY PLANNING YOUR VACATION FOR THE OFFICE, MIGHT BE TALKING TO YOUR AGENT ABOUT WHERE YOU WANT TO GO OR IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED IF YOU ARE NOT A LONG TERM DEAL. ALL THAT WILL DO IS PULL YOU AWAY FROM WITH THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS RIGHT NOW, WHICH IS DOING YOUR JOB. TRUST ME WHEN I SEE EVERYONE IS PAYING ATTENTION TO GUYS THAT PACKET UP, MAIL IT IN AND DO THAT SHOW UP AND PLAY BALL. >> THERE’S TEN GAMES TO GO FOR THEM. THEY ARE SEVEN GAMES IN. THERE’S MORE IN FRONT OF YOU AND IS BEHIND YOU, THERE’S A LEVEL OF PROFESSIONAL PRIDE THAT HAS TO BE THERE AS PLAYERS. I START WITH PLAYERS, AS PLAYERS, WITH THE WAY THE PLAY, THE INTENSITY THAT YOU PLAY, THE EXECUTION, I GET THAT, BUT THE INTENSITY, THE EFFORT, IT JUST DIDN’T LOOK LIKE THAT IN THE SECOND HALF, DIDN’T LOOK LIKE PROFESSIONAL STANDARD. >> AND A LOT OF TIMES IS RESULTS ARE THE RESULT OF INJURY, YOU’RE KIND OF HANDCUFF WITH WHAT YOU CAN DEAL WITH. THAT’S NOT BEEN THE CASE WITH THIS TEAM. THERE’S BEEN A LOT OF OTHER PLAYERS, PLAYMAKERS ON BOTH SIDES OF THAT BALL AND FOR WHATEVER REASON IT’S NOT MASHING TOGETHER, AND AGAIN I GO BACK TO THE SAME THING. I KNOW THERE’S A LOT OF THINGS THAT MAY BE GOING ON INSIDE, BUT YOU, LAST WEEK AND START MAKING SOME COMMENT LIKE THAT PUBLICLY, YOU TRY TO BACK UP THOSE COMMENTS HAVE A TEAM THAT ALSO JUST HAS ONE WIN ANYWHERE PRESEASON PICK TO MAYBE MAKE THE PLAYOFFS SIT THERE WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT NOW, IT’S A BIG CHALLENGE RIGHT NOW FOR MIKE McDANIEL FOOTBALL TEAM THAT DO HAVE A SENSE OF PURPOSE WITH THE REST OF THE SEASON BUT THAT’S HIS JOB RIGHT NOW WITH THIS FOOTBALL TEAM. HE’S GOT TO FIND A WAY TO MESSAGES TEAM TO FIND A WAY TO GET THIS TEAM TO UNDERSTAND THAT RIGHT NOW JUST WIN ONE BEING. AND THAT’S WHAT IT IS. DON’T HAVE TO LOOK AT ANYTHING ELSE. HOW WE GOT HERE, WE ARE

It's a coaching and QB problem, no doubt, but it's also a personnel problem — and that's a GM issue and IMO he should be first out the door.
Fire the coach. Trade Tua. Start over. It's as simple as that.
Ross is the problem
Screwed them all fired everyone period π―π―
No leadership and it starts at the top with Ross, Grier, McDaniel, and Tua.
Whoβs the idiot in the pink suit ?
Here we go…
There is no coming back for this team. Not putting up a visible fight at Cleveland during the second half only reinforces that. At this point, changing quarterbacks has to be the first step. Win or lose with Ewers because whatever leadership that Tua had has disappeared. And begin searching for a general manager. Name a replacement by the bye week and let him evaluate what is there during the rest of the season.
What do the Dolphins do now? Not much. Ross doesnt care.
Its hard to win in the nfl.. but when you loose 4 winable games.. games your in position in the 4th quarter to win.. IN A ROW… but mistakes.. bad calls.. whatever.. then you come out and just get blown out like this……. week 1 OK… rust.. whatever…. but week 7????? pathetic.. all of them.. OWNER.. GM.. coach… players… im so done as a fan.. F this franchise.
Never should've been a HC
Bill cower please coach the dolphins
Just look at the coach. There's your answer.
Nate Burlenson was one of the media guys that said pay tua.. Him Reddick, orlovsky, Kurt warner joy taylor.. They all said tua was the guy Reddick said Tua would be in the running for mvp this year.. A lot of these guys have been making the same bad predictions and evaluations of players for a while.. They should be removed after a while cause it shows they don't know sports or their trying to increase their fanbase
I stopped watching dolphins games. I been said Tua is not a top tier QB to begin with. Chris Grier should have got fired a long time ago!! Unfortunately the locker room is lost time for a hard reset
Fire the entire team, including the mascotπ
Grier needs to go. Aside from Achane, Paul, and Waddle, the Dolphins draft picks are invisible at best and detrimental in most cases. Savaiinaea is getting people killed. Tua has CTE and is throwing hospital passes if they're not interceptions. Brian Flores was right.
Where is the Tua Cult now? Where are all the Samoans that thought they could just take over our fan base in Miami and speak for actual Dolphins fans?
GRIER HAS BEEN INVOLVED WITH SCOUTING/RECRUITING SINCE 2000. THERE'S NO POINT IN FIRING ANYONE IF HE STAYS #FIREGRIERFIRST
if Grier stays…
#ROSSISTHEPROBLEM
JUST SAY IT……………………………………
THE COACH SHOULD BE FIRED FIRST THING IN THE MORNING
ALSO TUA IS A PIECE OF SHXXT TO LOSE TO THE CLEVELAND CLOWNS, THE MISTAKE ON THE LAKE, WHERE THE RIVER CAUGHT ON π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯
Fire everyone , including "water boy " Head coach . Fire Mascot , Fire Cheerleaders . and Fire Tua . Dude should retire . He ain't got it no more . To many hits to the head …….
Brian Flores wanted to Draft Chargers Qb whatever his name is β¦ but the owner was like naw get the guy who just had hip surgery π
They need to have a only players meeting.
Flores wanted Herbert not Tua. It turns out Flores was right about Tua.
The Cleveland browns beat themππππππ
Like I said last week on verious platforms, McDaniel & Tua are finished in Miami.. The only question that remains is: how quickly you rip the band-aid off.
Tua sealed his fate when he threw his teammates under the bus. I personally wouldn't play for a "leader" that carries on like Tua does. He's a bust
Trade Tua for Mac Jones
Mike mcdaniel might be an offensive genius but he's not a LEADER OF MEN.
Tua Turndaballova with another Gem π
Itβs not the young guys making thΓ© mistakes. Itβs the veterans making mistakes. Look at what San Francisco did with there young players tonight.
Bench Tua and the team morale immediately goes up.
Stay True Tua β€ It's Junior Seau. Stay True to the Island of Hawaii. You're left-handed. BAD Bunny, 2020 Halftime show performed at Miami Stadium.
Blow the team up theyre done.
You know you can't win if Tua is your QB, plain and simple. Nothing you can do can compensate for his uselessness. How can you be fired up to play when you know you have the dumbest, least athletic, weak armed QB in the league on your team? Oh, and he has no heart or guts. As soon as I saw raindrops on the screen, I knew there was no chance.
