  1. ya but that might make ’em uncomfortable, ‘Tone

edit: RIP r/CirclejerkSopranos — just a kid, sad when they go young like that

  2. I will never not cringe at the “tHiS tEaM nEeDs tO bE mEaNeR tHeY’rE nOt mEaN eNoUgH”.

As if being mean would’ve magically made 6 more pucks go past Bobrovsky last season.

As if we don’t have one of the highest hit counts in the league.

  3. LOL Mitch Marner was yelling at his team like this and everyone called him a baby…..

  4. If anybody hasn’t figured it out already the core guys on this club are who they are and nothing will change them.

  5. MLSE will never allow it, bad for the anti-controversy image that they feel the need to uphold. Goes with the organizational “walk it back” motto.

Bench a player? Better coddle him in the media before anybody thinks there’s an issue. Say something remotely critical of a teammate? Better get out there and go out of your way to downplay it the next day. Player says something with even a modicum of personality? Better media train that right out of them.

  6. Unfortunately this just isn’t in their DNA. After 8 years, this is just who the leafs are.

  7. The Blue Jays, and the 2019 Raptors, were extremely likeable. The stadiums are/were loud, absolutely rocking. So far, we just don’t have much of that. However you can see bits of it coming, and it starts with the organization. I don’t think it is a coincidence that the MLSE president talked about how they need to change their relationship with the fans and suddenly the players speak out a bit more. Knies saying he loves being here, Stolarz getting angry and calling the team out. It ain’t that hard. Just show some fucking passion and we eat it up.

  8. The Jays are the anti Leafs, and that’s a core reason for their success this season…

Jays have dawgs up and down the lineup that do the little things to win. Even their star player (Vladdy) has insane instincts / IQ and will do anything to help the team squeeze a win. Also: star player actually showing up and dominating in the playoffs.

  9. They don’t have it in them. They won’t with this core. They had the Core 4, and they never made it to the Conference Finals once. They crumbled like a deck of cards at the first sign of adversity.

Thankfully, the blue jays are the complete opposite. Clutch, never say die attitude, and they thrive under the spotlight. I hope they win it all.
