  1. hope he outplays expectations. he was great on the nuggets for the role he played yet people still clowned on him.

  2. Great signing tbh. Russ would sell tickets. Would be a good spark plug off the bench.

  3. It’s honestly such a shame that Kings fan got only 1 awesome year before “Light the Beam” became a phrase to mock the team lol

  4. I love Russ and his chaotic energy. I look forward to watching that very chaotic team this season.

  5. Man, Sacramentos promo team should be in the hall of fame. Could be my favourite video since the Nik stuskas draft video that they allowed to be released for some reason. Big “1 2 3 Nik rocks” vibes.

  6. Idk if the kings are mid, Russ is still fun to watch and a future HOF player. He gets way too much hate

  7. It’s so weird seeing posts thinking it’s the Kings sub and then realizing it’s here

  8. Kings are a Playoff Lock.

Lmao basketball is a game beyond data and numbers. Russell Westbrook is the perfect point guard for LaVine, Demar, and Sabonis. Keon, Keegan, Monk, Nique, and Schroeder will benefit from the unlocking of those 4.

22 Bulls saw Demar and LaVine benefit and win at a high rate, from the game breaking tempo and defense of a point guard (Lonzo) being able to dictate pace. Schroeder, Keegan, Nique, and Sabonis are all upgrades from Coby White, Patrick Williams, Vucevic, & Ayo Dosunmu. If Keon can be the two way defender his potential clearly allows he can be even more effective than Caruso was on that 22 team.

Russ is a game breaker, he impacts winning most when he isn’t relied upon to be the best offensive player. Russ is the best player for LaVine. LaVine played at his best and most effective when Lonzo and Demar allowed him to dumb down his game and utilize him as 3 level offensive juggernaut; lob threats, relocation threes, isolation, all of it. Russ absolutely can’t space the floor like 22 Lonzo but he’ll put 10x the pressure on the rim

Demar and Sabonis in the 2 man game will be 10x better this season solely due to having more dynamic lineup opportunities where there are new guards in all sizes (Schroeder, Russ, Nique) who can be dynamic off and on ball and threats on all levels, no longer being live and die by Demar and Sabonis playmaking, or even worse Monk PG minutes.

Demar gets 20 in his sleep. Sabonis rebounds and can run an offense as both the ball handler and the 2 man. LaVine is an offensive talent that’s situations have prevented him from being properly acknowledged. Keon Ellis and Keegan Murray are net positive defenders. Russ and Schroeder can run an offense. Malik Monk is electric. Nique Clifford is the most underrated rookie in the draft, he can finish in the paint, space the floor, he is an underrated passer, and has the length to be a good defender. The Kings will be able to keep up with any team simply due to their personnel, if they can install a working gameplan they have no reason to not be top 6 in the West.

The Kings will surprise those who watch basketball with a calculator. Team full of ballers will always win. Dataheads lose again.

  9. High level basketball is a lot more about what you don’t do than what you do. He’s a legend but not a contemporary one.

  10. Irrelevant but I literally didn’t think about it until now, has Russ completed the jersey rainbow?

  11. Gotta appreciate Russ’ love for the game and willingness to play even though his career has basically been over for four years.

  12. Russ was great on the Nuggets last year and I was bummed he didn’t take the player option. I’m still bummed. He’d have to have a reduced role this year if he’d stayed on, but we do need a backup point guard and – although he delivered some *loud* losses, he also was arguably the second best player on the team for stretches of the early season, and I loved how much energy he brought to the game every night.

  13. “Arguably one of the top three point guards to ever play the game”

Westbrook isn’t even a top-3 point guard in the West since he came into the league. In a sane world saying dumb shit like that would just immediately end a podcasting career.
