[Jimmy Butler] “All that noise and chaos paid off in a major way. Everywhere starts off great, but then you know someone has to be the bad guy, and it gets to be me. I’m always the one doing something unbearable all of a sudden… But being here, they’ve only got one goal. Ain’t no hidden agendas.”

  1. The fact that he’s still talking about it, lmao. “I’m always the one doing something unbearable all of a sudden”

Yes, Jimmy… that’s how we got here.

  2. You can say whatever you want about Jimmy, but this whole situation should’ve ended on better terms. Everyone knew how he’d react once he didn’t get that extension. Look back at his time with the Bulls, Wolves, and Sixers.. Each team hesitated to give him the max, he took it as disrespect, and he moved on. Considering his background (growing up homeless and grinding his way into the NBA), it’s no surprise that he’s always going to bet on himself.

On the flip side, if Miami wasn’t comfortable giving him another max and didn’t want to commit to his timeline, they should’ve handled it professionally. Talk to him and his agent, and trade him in the summer. Instead, the front office clung to this illusion of still being contenders and decided to run it back. Now we all hate each other lol

And honestly, Pat asking Jimmy to play more reg season games is wild. He’s 35–36, has a long history of ankle and knee issues, and played heavy Thibs minutes early in his career. Expecting him to log 65+ games, not coast and carry the team in the playoffs just isn’t realistic. He’s not superhuman like Lebron. Think about Wade at 34-35, with his knees. If he were 26 yr old Jimmy, I’d be cool with the comments

  3. All I’m gonna say is I hate how he gave up on his team. The mental hurdles the team battled last season was a big reason they underperformed. All good though wish him the best. Love the new direction of our team.

  4. Just be a millionaire man why do you need people to be on your side too? It’s been over smh

  5. I wonder what hidden agendas he’s talking about. Obviously it’s a shot at Riley/the front office, maybe even Spo

  6. Just wait till the warriors start trying to trade that contract after an underwhelming season

  7. Who cares? Jimmy got what he wanted by being traded to GS, getting to play w the GREATEST shooter all time AND a max extension ($60M/yr at 36)! & Miami got to go w the youth movement & not pay Jimmy $60M+ to miss 25-35 games. Jimmy’s time was GREAT in MIA, but it’s over. Let’s move on

  8. If there is one team in this entire league that is least likely to have a hidden agenda it’s 1000% the Miami Heat. Year in and year out they have one goal.

  9. We all watched you take a 1 legged three with 21 seconds on the shot clock Jimmy

  10. Without Steph Curry in the playoffs last year, Jimmy couldn’t get a single win against the wolves as the first option.

  11. He can’t act a fool in GS. He’s the small fish with an all time great whale next to him. So, we’ll see how it goes when he is afraid to drive the ball against any player over 6’9.

  12. Hidden agenda: take regular season games more serious and be more available.

Wow Miami is really a slimey organization

  13. He literally quit on his brothers while under contract bc he didnt get an extension. A man would honor his commitments despite his personal feelings. Soft. Traitor. Quitter.

  14. He had a hidden agenda himself. Claiming he lost his joy to play basketball but that joy reemerged once the gsw paid him. Bunch of bs man.

  15. Every team he goes to, always ends up this way. No doubt it’ll happen with GSW again. 🤦🏻‍♂️

  16. Lost all respect for him as a person, not just a basketball player. Absolutely no integrity and the most selfish guy in the game

  17. He was saying the same thing when he was with the Heat. Once they stop paying him, the drama will continue
