George Springer proves he is built for October with yet another clutch Postseason home run! 😤

So the Blue Jays go from a team that we didn’t really know about and I’ve said this on the show for the last few days. I don’t think you could say it enough. John Schneider in a year’s time goes from being on the hot seat to being manager of the year and now four wins away from the World Series. Well, I think it boils down to the players and right and the players perform and, and you get guys that unsung heroes to step up when you have some adversity and you just get it done and you figure out a way and once you get a taste of consistently winning, Then it, Then it can just kind of transition to the postseason that don’t always work out the way you still have to make executive decisions, so on and so forth. But I think the biggest thing is he was always the guy for, for the job. But I think when, when you look at the team and how they played , ha I think it just boils down to the players, go out there and do what they need to do to be in this position. And it starts with your superstar Vlad junior. I mean, he, at the beginning of spring training said, hey, listen, if you guys want to extend me, we’re doing it by the time it’s the season’s over or we’re not doing it at all. And Then ultimately, the guy set the tone at the beginning of the lineup. George Springer, I mean, he’s battle tested and that’s what we’re going to look at right now. Springer gets it done with his 23rd playoff home run the ninth that gave his team the lead. Just an amazing job by Springer and clipping going to break it down because we knew he was working on a knee that wasn’t 100%. Kevin Gausman alluded to the fact that he’s really fighting, but the line tonight, one bullet left in the chamber and he shot it off. So you need your teammates to push you. That’s first and foremost. But you also need you, you know , the training staff to get you right. But it’s also living for the moment. He’s lived for these moments for a long time in his career. When you talk about 23 postseason homers, you have to have icy veins. We’ll go back to 1017 World Series bam. And Then again, this is off yu Darvish and, and this is like the second inning you’re going, wait a minute. You want these moments. Yes. Certain dudes do. Some dudes will lie to you and say, yeah, I want them but you really don’t. Right. You got to be ready to take on the opportunity to be great. You right and don’t be afraid of being great and he’s always been in the moment. So you go back to game, you know , five in Seattle, you’re going wait a minute. Right. I this is a somber moment for everybody. You heard John snare talk about the fans going to whatever the case may be. They was looking at an opportunity to get to the World Series. They really wasn’t worried about George Spring but he bounces back and the swings he took yes last night, I’m saying to myself he ain’t right. He knew he wasn’t right but he fought to get in the lineup. He fought and sold, you know, John side to be on the training staff working on him consistently 24 7 to get him back out there. The swings tonight was still off balance but you could you had to have them in the lineup. I don’t care how off balance as he was because we said it has one swing left in the chamber. He went and got it and the moment came at the most opportune time they needed it. Bam he delivered. What a moment. What a moment man. And you know what, you know, you feel sorry for Seattle but God do it for, for George Springer. This is what he does. This is who he is. And when he showed up tonight, he needed the one moment to come through and the adrenaline got him doing all that. He’ll probably fill out night when he’s sleeping. But at some point you have to shut down the mindset and go out there and beat this dude. When you get on this board, it says something about the blood in your veins, man. And you know, it’s unbelievable about this springer. I remember Springer leading off those games in Houston in the postseason and he’s top three in home runs. Springer was really the first guy to change that prototypical leadoff guy. And you said it today, he got on , on base the first inning, but it’s like that’s not why he’s in here. He’s in there for one swing and he sure got that one swing night.
