  1. It is time to give Frank Ross the keys to the team for the rest of the season.

DeMeco is a talented defensive playcaller, but the same issues that plagued the team when he started plague the team today.

Caserio’s inability to fix the o-line, coupled with his loyalty to guys that he’s has connections with from the Patriots should get him relieved of his duties as well.

CJ has been bad and is clearly deteriorating mentally, but I feel he should be given a prove it period through the rest of this season and next to show something.

Caley, well I hope he enjoyed his one and only shot at playcalling.

  2. The failed 3rd-then-4th and 1 perfectly demonstrates the organizational failure that is the Texans.

    * The GM has utterly failed to assemble an offensive line that can get any kind of push.

    * The OC called two run plays anyway, because he’s stupid.

    * The QB can’t be trusted to make the right reads or accurate throws in this situation even if he gets good blocking – which he won’t – so the OC is at least partially validated in not calling a pass play in that situation.

    * Did I mention the offensive line sucks? Because it does. The offensive line really, *really* sucks.

    * Not calling a QB sneak on at least one of those plays is managerial malpractice.

That sequence should be the final nail in the coffin for some combination of the general manager and offensive coordinator.

  3. Defense and special teams did all they could in this game but without an offense its pointless

First and foremost: Nick Caserio scammed this team and fanbase. Lied to us about the o line all off season. Hired his incompetent friend in Nick Caley as offensive coordinator. Has a lack of talent on this offense that has ruined who should have been our franchise QB

CJ Stroud. It really sucks to see his regression. His accuracy isn’t as it was. He’s missing reads and I understand some of it behind a bad o line (48% pressure on snaps) I hope he isn’t like Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, Mac Jones or Daniel Jones. I.e. the QB gets all the blame goes to another team with competent coaching then all of a sudden looks good to great. I want him to be great in Houston. People were mentioning Sam Darnold looked better well Sam in New York was so bad the “he’s seeing ghosts” meme was from his own bad game. Coaching made him a good QB.

The offensive line. They suck. I’ve run out of ways to say they suck but at one point 48% of pressure on the QB, still can’t have a consistent run game behind this line. Missing assignments. Doubling a DT but missing the blitz just basic stuff that they somehow still can’t get right.

Lastly, Nick fucking Caley. He is in WAYYYYYY over his head. He is clueless in the subtle parts of running an offense and I am okay with having a bad season if it means we fire him now. Using Dare on 3rd downs. Bad run plays on that 3rd and 4th and 1. Other than being Caserio’s friend, I don’t know how he got hired

Demeco Ryans, you can run a hell of a defense but the stupid penalties including the one at the end of the game is something you can’t seem to figure out.

Rough season. Idk if we can fix it at 2-4. Still love this team but it seems like I have to wait another year to see if we can build an elite team.

  4. ##OUT OF EVERY GAME I HAVE SEEN SINCE DEMECO TOOK OVER, THIS WAS THE MOST FRUSTRATING AND THAT INCLUDES THE LIONS LOSS FROM LAST SEASON. OUR OFFENSE IS WORSE THAN IT EVER HAS BEEN AND WE ARE WASTING A CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER DEFENSE. WE WASTE SO MUCH TIME DURING CRUNCH TIME AND WE LET CJ TAKE HIT AFTER HIT. I BEG ANYBODY TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY NICK CALEY IS STILL OUR OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR. NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THE FINAL 2 MINUTES WHEN WE DECIDED TO KICK THE BALL TO THE ENDZONE INSTEAD OF KICKING IT OUT OF BOUNDS IS MIND NUMBINGLY STUPID.

  5. As inefficient this team was, that might’ve been one of the worst officiated games I’ve ever seen

  6. Pathetic discipline (or absolute lack thereof I should say). And the disregard for building a competent o line shows me this team is not serious. Not sure we ever will be.

  7. Oh man that hurts so fucking bad somehow had to watch the whole thing you’d only understand if you watched it too. Jesus christ

  8. We are fucked. Our Offense is wasting one of the best defensive seasons in franchise history.

  9. That was like watching a whole new season of Monster on Netflix. It is so gross, yet so hard to look away.

  10. Nick Caserio needs to be fired and I’m begging BEGGING, PLEADING with anyone in the Houston or national media to ask the question of why he still has a job when he’s had this awful of a team build

  11. We have many issues.

    1. Nick Caley is worse than Bobby Slowik, and maybe as bad or worse than Pep Hamilton.

    2. Our OL doesn’t really exist, and is atrocious.

    3. CJ doesn’t make decisions quick enough to deal with the pressure and he seems hesitant to call or change his own plays at the line.

    4. We have no nutsack or creativity. We only take risks late in games were are losing and desperate. (See #1)

    5. CJ needs to scramble more often early in the play. Not waiting until the pocket has completely collapsed to decide.

    6. We don’t blitz enough. We depend on the secondary too much and just hope our DL gets pressure.

    and so on…

  12. Fire nick caley, fire the o line, put in jaylin Noel more, fire nick Chubb, and give raises to the defense for somehow making us look like we deserve more wins.

  13. I STILL stayed up watching till the end. Why do we put our selves through this 😔

  14. I think a cat stepping on the playbook would have done better then whatever Caley came up with in 2 weeks.

  15. This isn’t the first time in the last year that the offense threw away a 4 TO game; happened vs Detroit last year too.

Just crazy work from Caserio to not improve the offensive line. I think that is probably the season with how hot the Colts are.

  16. We could have kicked it out of bounds and used the 2 min warning as an extra time out, I honestly don’t know how our coaching and management is so incompetent. That plus running it back to back on that 3rd and fourth, and passing it twice in a row that close to the goal line. All around embarrassing.

Like how guys. No seriously, how?!

  17. They weren’t winning this game, even if they had gotten the ball back. Ending it that way just added to the comedy of it all.

  18. What a waste of a great defensive effort. All we need is a not bottom 5 offense and with 4 turnovers and a frickin’ strip sack touchdown we win this game.

Can make 3 yards from 2nd and goal, can’t get a yard for a first down in 2 plays. What a pile of crap.

  19. Unforgivable… Tonight’s offensive play calling was completely unforgivable. The Caley hire is a complete disaster. We should not waste another second on him. Anybody would be better than him, including all the names people here have taken a dump on. This shouldn’t even be up for debate anymore.

    # NICK CALEY IS A FOOTBALL TERRORIST!

  20. Looking at the Seahawks thread, they seem as frustrated as us which is wild. I guess our defense really screws with people’s heads, I wish our offense was half as competent. Fire nick caley.

  21. I’ve been a fan of this franchise since the beginning… went to the last Oilers game with my Dad… Love all things Houston. But I think this performance finally broke me as a Texans fan. Just pathetic no other word to describe it!

  22. Say what you will about Caley, this OL is the sorriest bunch of no-talent fuckwits I’ve ever had the misfortune of watching. This was our biggest position of need in the offseason and we’re *dramatically* worse. I’m not sure there’s an OC in the league that can coach this bullshit. Caserio needs to be gone.

  23. This wide a divide between performance on either side of the ball may be unprecedented: a historically bad offense paired with a championship caliber defense. It has to be a rare occurrence at the very least.
