NHL Highlights | Jets vs. Flames – October 20, 2025
back together again. Anderson and Ball will start on the blue line for the Calgary Flames. Shley line up front for the Jets. Able to get it back after it looked like Vanessikov was going to clear. Cadri spins it back. Weer over to Hubo. Hold shoots. Knuckling puck plucked down by Helluck. Back to Zer up top. 20 seconds to go. Just under that now in the Calgary power play. Correct. Over to Anderson. Shoots. Glove save by Helabuk as he reels it in. They just weren’t connected in Vegas and Vegas. Let’s give them some credit. They’ve got some talent. Pretty good power play. This one is too. Conor down low. Tip towards the goal. Wolf a piece and he’ll wisely cover that up with a great dishes off Morrisy on Kyle Connor. Connor into the slot. First set of legs. Want to be sharp. Great save on the blocker post. 23 hits. You can make it 25 thanks to two on this ship. And that’s a big man hitting the long shot. Easy stop by Wolf. Was he trying to get the rebound to his Dman there? He was trying to clear it up front. You’re right, John. Back around. Good pace to this one early. Back stick in the lane. Sharp angle shot comes through to Wolf who make the stop. Has it on the wrap around and the puck’s spun right through the top of the crease as the Flames get away with an opportunity from Lambert looking for his first now. Tipped in front again. Right save to Roth by Apollo in tight. Coleman drops back. Cornado the other way. Shot block followed up. Didn’t miss by much. Jets spot off the puck. Lombberg with two others. Lombberg to Clapka right on and a stick save by Heluck who stayed with the bouncing puck. Boy, I like how physical the Flames are in tonight’s game. Sending a message early. Wager stopped by Helluck with the right pad. again to Cry. Reels it in. Settles. Weager. Cry wants it back. One-time looking for Hoo again on the redirection. Just missed. Flames looking to cash in. Channel will try it. Easy stop. Dustin Wolf hard out. That eludes Parak and Wolf will te it up. Flames with just a couple of seconds left in the second power play of the game for Calgary. Off the Anderson shot, although the puck slides out. Ball being cautious against Connor. Connor feeds the late man off the post. Just throws a puck in the far corner and then Oh, this is a flurry. Excuse me. This is a flurry chance coming right off the main street coming off the bench. Flames can’t get out. Conor picks it up. Shoots. Good glove stop there from Dustin Wolf. Push it past the traffic. Well, Brennan Parker coming up in our first intermission along with the panel as we test Helok from long range and a stick save with traffic in front. Justin on side nearly lost it. Coronado was right there. Hubo across. Cadry had some time. Good pick. The top corner short side. You’re You’re getting anywhere north of 80% of the guys competing and doing everything. You have a really good chance of winning. You can’t It’s hard to have, let’s be honest, it’s hard to get 100% every single game, but you can get north of 80 and you have a good chance of winning. Well, what I took from some of that was the standard of play was set. Yeah. under the head coach of Brian Huska and Flames know they have to be better. That was really cool to see Trent Colie. Come on, you got to get the fist bump to the coach. That was a nice play by McKenzie Weaguer along the boards on Shley. Shley’s so shifty and he took him right out of the play. Lombberg on Kirkland jamming away gets it back. Cadri across Frost in shoots. Piece of the glove from Helabuk. Cadri backhand pass. Worked its way down to Hoover. Over stick on to Frost. Now Wager takes control. Back to Frost. Shoots. Tip. Corno. Save. Rebound came out and Baron will cool things down. Rebound off the back glass. Coleman nearly snuck it in. Anderson with some pressure on the power play. Fairbye again and it’s tipped by Coleman. Across the line is Kirkland. Watched from behind by Jonathan Taves. Dangerous down low setup. Connor looking to the side. I follow. He was watched by Bean or he might have been free. Hanley Taves jammed up but hangs on around Hubo’s pressure. Morsy one time. Wolves got that too. Over to Ipollo gets the inside on Coleman but Coleman staying with it. Back up top. Morsy Connor taking a look. Ipollo forehand denied by Dustin Wool and he’ll cover up in front. Now Shyle on to Morsy. Shley down low. Valardi can’t beat Wolf who outweights him. Cad ready. Left pass save. Heluck who greets that at the top of his crease. Correct. Sails that pass ahead. Kirkland in behind the D. P check and reeled in. Wager has Clafka ahead. Spots Lombberg. He’ll rush it and chip it into the corner. Kirkland cornerboard bounce for Lombberg. Clapka takes over. Uses that frame to the line. Anderson scores. Staring it down is Anderson and he gets the Flames a one- nothing lead. Let’s take a look at this. Kirkland gets some help from Longberg. Now watch Clapka with the battle along the boards. Continues to fight. Continues to fight. Chips him back to Rasmus Anderson. Longberg’s in front. I’m not sure if it’s deflected along the way, but that is a hard working shift. I think that guess who? Rasmus Anderson who is pretty fiery after the first. Ras stopped by Helonado comes up with it. Cornado with a shot to the inside off the body of Stanley. Coleman puts it on and squaring up was hella Connor and Hubo does take penalty kills. So alert by you Kelly Morrisy good down there and all the action. Mexico over and in. Taves dropping back. He rider shot. Tim Tav scores. There’s the first for what a great boy John Taves. You mentioned his first as a jet to go along with three points or three assists. And Pian is one of the best in the game at getting pucks through. There’s a big open lane. He just sifts this and through. Jonathan Taz right in front redirects it and that’s that dangerous power play of the Jets. They’re hoping that experience pays off. Flames going to test him here. Far again. How many chances tonight from Bar Flames hold the line. Bean to the net. Stop Hobuck. Big rebound in the vicinity for Cadri. Couldn’t get a stick on it for a shot. Connor the other way with Shley. Shoot. Scores. We’ve seen that many times. And Shley has the go-ahead goal to get the play to go the other way. It kind of looks like it now. All of a sudden, it’s a twoon one. Connor Waguer, the defensive, he lofts that puck just perfectly over the stick of McKenzie Weaguer right onto the tape of Shley and he gets it over the left pad of Dustin Wolf. And you know what, Connor Hellbuck, when I first saw it, I thought, boy, that’s a juicy rebound. When I saw it after on the replay, that clearly was intentional, trying to get it coming down on you in a twoon one. Under 5 minutes to go. Flames trying to get right back into this. Hanzik shoots off the post. That close to tie the game and getting his first in the NHL. Two-1 lead. Here’s a pass by Raspus Anderson to Hanzik. He rips that one into Calgary. That was blocked by Dlo. Maybe one more look. Calgary can’t get to the puck. And despite all of that effort, the Flames fall short. Jets pick up their fifth straight win. 2-1 the final.
Jonathan Toews scored his first goal since returning to the NHL, Mark Scheifele added a goal of his own, and Connor Hellebuyck made 32 stops to lead the Winnipeg Jets to a 2-1 win over the Calgary Flames.

Tank baby tank
Toews lets go!
Mckenna will look great in the flaming C
Rasmus Andersson must be staring at himself in tje mirror right now. 😂😂😂
the amount of blues in Alberta
The fact Calgary are stone dead last in the entire league no doubt spells the incoming end of an era. Players like Backlund, Andersson, Weegar, Sharangovich, Kadri & Huberdeau might be scratched or moved on. You sense a blow-up is imminent and that they know the season is pretty much over already before it really began. They will have to wait until the next draft lottery. There's no real star to inspire them. It's just mediocrity defined.
Actually think Flames played great.. I mean let me rephrase, they played the BEST they can. That is actually what worries me… their best might not be good enough this year…
schiefele not messing around this season…
Flames deserved that win.
Wow. Heartbreaking.
The Flames are a complete embarrassment. Wolf is awful. Our forwards can't score.
I was at this game. More people were invested in the Jays game results than the hockey game.
Great seeing Calgary lose
🎉🎉🎉🎉
That's 5 wins in a row by the way.
Totally expected. Another loss coming Wednesday.
Poor little Dustbin. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Gavin
Go Jets Go! Attaboy Toews, and Scheif keeps scoring.
Being a Die hard Flames fan has aged me poorly. However, I still BELIEVE!!
@8:37 Kadri doing what he can to tank the season for McKenna lol
To bad Helichuckbucktuk can't play as good in the playoffs and big games
Makenna to Calgary?
Small crowd for an all Canadian matchup.
flames already lost play off.
Toews got his first goal in his first season back the same day the Jays go to the World Series, as the Flames lose their 6th in a row. Interesting day.
rasmus for captain after backlund retires

I started watching this game in the third period and with about two minutes left, the Flames were down by one goal in there home arena and the Flames fans were so damn quiet You could hear a pin drop! No chanting or cheering to get their team going…nothing, even seen a bunch of empty seats !!! What an absolute joke, Flames fans you should be ashamed of yourselves!! Imagine being a player on that team and your home fans won’t even cheer for you when you’re only down by a goal with a couple minutes left!!
Send the entire Flames team to the gulag! (In Call of Duty).
I don’t know much about the Flames scouting department…but I know this….they seem to find goal scorers real easy….I never heard of Mangiapani before Calgary….and I never heard of Coranado before Calgary but mark my words…kids the real deal
Флеймс пора зажигать 🔥🔥🔥
Finally, a good performance in the defense. But again nearly nothing in the offense. When will the Flames starting to win ? Or only Shows a overall good Game ?
9:57 Wolf looking like he regret signing that 8 year extension lol
Hellebuyck has been really good these last games. Another strong season coming
