Terms were not formally announced on Mazzulla’s new pact…but there is a belief in coaching circles the new deal is a six-year pact, along the lines of the six-year pact that current Celtics POBO Brad Stevens initially signed to be Boston’s coach when he left the college game in July 2013.

4. Brad wanted to have Mazzula sign a regualr contract, but Mazzula insisted upon a pact with a blood oath ritual where they both slice open their palms and shake hands.

5. Why do they keep using the term pact?

   Sounds like Mazzulla got ownership to agree to some pact that they’ll all die if they don’t win another championship
