THE TORONTO BLUE JAYS ARE HEADING TO THEIR FIRST WORLD SERIES IN 32 YEARS

  1. 4 game sweep on one side of the bracket, 7 game slobberknocker on the other.

    Baseball just writes itself sometimes.

  2. Legendary series. Good luck to Toronto in winning it all but I mostly just hope the World Series is as exciting as all these AL playoff series have been. We’ve been spoiled with so many winner take all games this postseason

  3. Mariners are a cursed franchise. Damn man

Blue Jays history of clutch homers is crazy

  4. I know Muñoz got lucky in the 9th and some people are gonna use his outing in the 9th to justify that it was correct not bringing Muñoz but i still believe not bringing Muñoz at the 8th lost them the game. Your top reliever in the 8th against the top of the order > Top reliever in the 9th against the side IMO.

Edit: It was the 7th inning but still belive putting Muñoz when Springer was coming to bat was the right play.

  5. the FIRST thing Ernie Clement said on Twitter after he was DFA’d in Cleveland was “love you Cleveland go win a WS!” so you bet your ass I want to see him win a WS

  6. Well, all those smug “How can it be a ‘World Series’ when it involves only teams from one country” are suspended (or easily mocked) for the year.

  7. No one has it worse than us.

With that said, Toronto is such a good ball club. I felt they were really more deserving but that is just such a heartbreaking way to end it.

Congrats Jays fan. Give em hell.

  9. “The Toronto Blue Jays aren’t a first place team”- Michael Kay

    that quote, turned everything around

  10. I have to say as someone who randomly started watching baseball like a month ago because I figured why not give it a shot, I have fallen in love with your guys sport. Holy shit, the atmosphere tonight was unreal when the Blue Jays took the lead. It reminded me of football over here, it was like a big champions league night.

Amazing stuff, I feel so sad for the Mariners and their fans after learning they have never made it past this round. But I have to say, Toronto kind of stole my heart a little bit. Looking forward to watching the World Series and learning so much more about this beautiful sport!

  11. Canada taking the World Series in 2025 of all years would be the funniest possible outcome

  12. “Teams that win the first two games in a best-of-seven postseason series have history on their side. In 78 of 93 instances, those clubs have prevailed.”

  13. Well. The Mariners are fucking cursed. Still, it was their best season since ’01 and the fans should their head up high despite the disappointing ending. It’s a damn shame, and I hope they get their pennant someday.

Sucks that our rivals had to prevail, but I’m honestly just relieved this series is finally over. Once again, congrats to the Blue Jays, and good luck. (but this time, you guys might need it). Should be a fun series, but given the Dodgers’ run so far, who knows? Either way, it’s official. LA vs Toronto.

What a fucking series this was, though. Shame Seattle folded, but they at least kept it interesting.

  14. The last time a Toronto team went up against a Cali based dynasty, Toronto won in 6. LET ME LIVE

  15. As a lifelong Blue Jays fan since 30 minutes ago, I sincerely hope they beat the Dodgers

  16. I’m so happy for Toronto and the entire country of Canada. One of my fave cities and just spent my bday last Thursday in windsor(I’m from Detroit) so this is a good day.

  17. The numbness is tarting to wear off and the pain is setting in.

But there will be plenty of time for that, as well as to look at what went so well for us this year and how to build on it, later.

Congratulations on ending a monster pennant drought, Jays. I’ll be pulling for you to finish the movie you thought you had a couple years ago.
