  1. Interesting that Brown said that if the last preseason game was a regular season game, Mitch was healthy enough to play

  2. Damn it I knew that ankle was too good to be true, I thought this last surgery would have fixed that issue but its still a huge 7 foot guy jumping up and down many times per game

Hart is also concerning, but I know he will bounce back strong.

  3. Not quite the news I was hoping to hear. It’s a long season, but sucks to start with any injuries. Mitch ankle injuries in particular are always concerning.

We have enough to still win tomorrow, hopefully these are just minor injuries and both guys are back soon.

  4. Seems odd to call it “management” when it’s the first game of the season. That’s just an injury.

  5. in the grand scheme of things – fine. Mike brown (lying?) and saying mitch would have went the last preseason game if it was regular season game is annoying. Just tell us the truth on whats happening.

Also if it really is “load managing” it is objectively hilarious to load manage in the first fucking game lol. That term was created for resting guys later in the season to avoid further wear and tear

  6. Silver lining, we’re gonna get a lot of looks at 5-out lineups. Josh and Mitch are the non-shooters that usually get the most minutes.

  7. If we have to be that cautious with Mitch and we haven’t even played a single regular season game we should offload him for any serviceable center or hope to pick one up in the buyout market

  8. lets try not to overreact fam we just gotta make it through 82 games without injuries this season… we trying to win it all not be number 1 in the power rankings

  9. starting deuce or shamet would be fun but i feel like they’re gonna stick with the double big starting 5

  10. I have a feeling Mitch is getting traded and Leon wants to be cautious. He’s expiring after this season and extending Mitch would put us over the 2nd apron.

  11. Haven’t been paying attn, is Huckporti back? Dude was promising and should only be better now

  12. Guys, we’re fine. We have championship aspirations. We’re no longer LolKnicks, we are elite tier, let’s act like it. Mitch shit is mind boggling tho.

  13. This is… Less than ideal.

If Mitch can’t play game one after having a whole off-season to get right, id say that’s pretty concerning when it comes to ability to stay healthy. I’m worried he’s at or getting to a point where he can’t play enough games to be worth keeping on the team

  14. If Mitch is just out of shape then he needs to be traded. This team has championship aspirations, we need players that are available

  15. Nothing but love and respect for our boy mitch but if we’re at this point with managing his body, feels like maybe a trade is in order for a less dynamic but more reliably available big man? Hurts to say, but it feels like the correct move.
