ABSOLUTELY INSANE Wemby & Spurs Stats!!!

I was looking at NBA.com’s power rankings this morning and the Spurs stats that they shared, all I could say is you better be excited. What is up, San Antonio Spurs fans? Welcome to TSR Sports. And these stats that I found on NBA.com, all I got to say is blew my mind and I wanted to share with you the Spurs community. So, let’s get into it. Of course, while I’m doing so, drop a comment down below. Did any of these stats surprise you or were they as expected? are San Antonio Spurs preseason record eh not 4-0 it was 5-0 NBA.com and their offensive rating was third defensive rating 11th and a net rating third okay like what I’m seeing granted preseason there were some blowouts still a step in the right direction however these other stats these takeaways I’m excited and I hope you’re excited when we go over it together played bigger and stronger taking 31 which is 70% of his 44 shots in paint up from a disturbingly low 37% last season, rolling more to the rim and sometimes bullying. That’s right, bullying opposing bigs under the basket. His free throw rate, 57 attempts per 100 shots from the field, was also more than double his rate from last season, 22 per 100. the added size, the added girth. Webby is now becoming the irresistible force, theable object we all know he could be in the paint. I love it. We have been saying for I don’t know how long, WMY, take more shots in the paint, take less threes. You can be so dominant. Well, maybe have the size do that then. He’s got it now. And I love the results that we’re seeing with Webm in the paint. Let’s talk about our rebounding. Even if you take away their win over the Lon Lions, which apparently you did, you said we’re 4 and0 NBA.com, the Spurs would have ranked as the most improved rebounding team in the preseason, having grabbed about 55% of available rebounds over their four games against NBA opponents. We grabbed 22% of available boards while he was on the floor over those four games, up from 16% last season. Since this channel started in April of 2019, rebounding has been an issue. Are those days finally over? I hope so. And I think so. And we don’t even have Jeremy Sohan yet, who is a good rebounder. And then something to watch in week one. And not even week one, I think the whole season. Double bigs. The Spurs play 24 preseason minutes with WBY and Luke Cornett on the floor together, aka French Vanilla. I’m not a fan of the nickname, but apparently it’s here to stay. Somehow grabbing 64% of available offensive rebounds and scoring 83 points on 52 possession possessions. That’s 160 points per 100 possessions in those minutes. Twin Towers 2.0 maybe, maybe. So, I don’t know. But I think the double big look, as they say, may be the way to go in critical moments. And I can’t think of and I hate to say this but immediately when I read that and I didn’t have this plan to say but when I think critical moment of course I’m going back to the NBA finals I’m thinking Ray Allen I’m like man we had two bigs like Wendy and Luke out there if Timmy had been on the floor just I’m just you see where I’m going with this I don’t talk about anymore but the double big has worked much better than I ever thought it would with Luke not being a stretch five and not taking threes. I thought, you know, this might inhibit their ability to score and think, uh-uh. Uh-uh. It has worked out to perfection. I know it’s just a preseason, but everything I’m seeing has me excited. And quite frankly, Spurs fans, I can’t remember the last time I was this excited about the Spurs upcoming season. And we haven’t even seen Darren Fox and We together. I just sit back for a moment. Think about that. Darren Fox, an all-star, clutch player of the year, Steels leader, the fastest players in the NBA. We haven’t seen him at full Fox because he was injured all last year and we haven’t seen him with this level WBY. Just think about that again. We saw him for five games last year. Fox injured at WBY on his way to being out for the year because of a medical issue. We haven’t seen Peak Fox or this new Shaolin Monk Ninja Scorpion Subzero Mortal Kombat finishing version of WMY together yet. It is going to be scary. For the other teams, I absolutely can’t wait. And I got to say it is going to be one heck of a ride watching this team, watching our new Twin Towers, watching WBY and Fox. Year two, Stefon Castle. Year one, Dylan Harper and Carter Bryant. The guys that hopefully prove us wrong like Kelly Johnson, Demicell, Jeremy Sohan, I can’t wait for the ups and the downs. And it’s going to be amazing. Whether you’ve been here a week, a year, or all of it, from D Rozan to Dejante to Kelvin to now WBY, it has been an amazing ride, and it’s only going to get better. I think that’s what we’re we’re forgetting. As exciting as this is right now, we haven’t even seen our team at full strength. Mitch is clearly doing better than he did last season. And I beg help, I’m sure, is the coaching staff around him. But he hasn’t reached his ceiling yet, has he? I don’t think so. I know there’s some Mitch naysayers out there. There’s actually quite a few. But I I I believe I believe this team will achieve. I’m going for some rhymes now. And and I’m just sitting here thinking we haven’t seen everybody. We haven’t even seen peak Wem yet. We’re just, let’s also not forget, and yes, I know the Turner Spurs fans, but we’re just now seeing this new version of Wemmy, this new crushing his opponent, seen him driven before and hear the nomination from the women in the paint. This is just the first year of that. That is going to get better. My goodness, what is the eventual ceiling for this team? I’ll tell you what I think the ceiling is. the rival to the Oklahoma City Thunder and it’s going to be the best rivalry in the NBA for the next decade with Wendy versus Chad Hogram, SGA, Castle, Fox, Williams, etc. It’s this is going to be an amazing decade of destruction for our t for our San I’m excited. So, I’m starting to fumble my words for our San Antonio Spurs. We haven’t had something like this ever on this channel. We haven’t had direction since this channel started. D Rozan was a good player. Was he going to be the guy to lead us to the next level? No. Jonti Murray then took the reigns for one year. Was he gonna be the guy? Nope. Not even on the team anymore. Kell Jonathan. Hey Kell, love you. Glad you’re back to number three. Was he gonna be the guy? Nope. We now have a franchise player to build around. And the Leafs, we’ve seen him take from year one to year two and now this year. And he’s only going to get better. Let’s not forget a lot of our guys are early 20s. What’s with me right now? 21. And he’s going to get better. It’s going to be amazing. Riot Spurs fans, I say. You know what? Let’s finish with prediction here. Prediction for WMier because you guys asked about it and Fox is going to offset his scoring a little bit, but there’s no doubt in my mind that he can’t score 25 points per game this year on an efficient heck, he might be 50, 37, 85ish, which would be incredible, and rebounds to 12 assists. He’s passing the ball more. He’ll probably pass a little less with Fox in the in the lineup, but four and a half, five assists per game, one and a half steals, four blocks, defensive player of the year, and top five MVP. I say he finishes, you know, let’s put this on record now. Victor Wmanyama next year will finish. We won’t be the best team in in in the NBA, so that’s going to hurt just a little bit. I’m gonna say when he finishes third in MVP voting. There it is. Come back to this video in I don’t know what, June and see how close I was. But WMY finishes third in MVP voting next year and is defensive player of the year. The Spurs win 50 games and make the playoffs, win the first round, get knocked out in the second, finish a six seed. There you go. There’s on predictions you guys been asking. There it all is.   2. I don't know how many times I've told folks… Wemby is a 4 and needs a true big for this team to be effective. Jeremy's lack of shooting hurts his ability to be on the court with Victor's play style. But folks love Jeremy, but he was hurting the lineup. His defense is not good enough to make up for his lack of offensive output. He needs a corner 3 like Bruce Bowen.

  3. Rich, this is why you should make a video everyday. Watching you get excited, gets me pumped up for the Spurs, for Work, even paying bills. Go Spurs Go!!!

  4. Would love to see the Spurs pick up two reliable 40% from three guys, I don't think they are serious contenders while teams can freely pack the paint on them. But the main parts are in place.

  5. If they manage to find a good rotation so as not to tire the horses, they'll be in the playoffs, no problem. It's a question of physical freshness, avoiding long-term injuries. You can't have two young star players, plus another potential star in Harper, without consequences. He plays a bit like McCain and Maxey, very comfortable with the ball in both hands. It will be a bit shaky at first, but starting with the NBA Cup, things will start to look good, especially at home.

  6. Yeah in just one of those five games they scored a combined 61 points and in the same year Fox alone scored 61 points! I honestly don't think people know how massive of a jump the Spurs are going to make.

  9. 2 things I really want this season is wemby's MVP and Dpoy, and 3 peat ROTY. He'll be the youngest winner of both and he might even win MIP if that happens. Face of the league will be secured too.

  11. DOUBLE BIGS: the rebound and scoring cited there with both 'towers' on the floor is the only stat that surprised — they were even better than they appeared ensemble (high bar)! Perfect for playing Mavs, Grizzlies, Wolves or Knicks. As for "French Vanilla", I thought Luka and Jokic, etc., had ended the need to talk about the 'whiteness' (vanilla) of players — sigh.

  12. Two things struck me about the preseason. Wemby flat out muscling the opposing center out of his way to score. And oddly enough it seems like Wemby and Kornet have something approaching instant chemistry. I guess tall guys think alike, lol. They just seem to instinctively know how to complement each others game.

    Hoping for a healthy season for the Spurs and all the league players. GSG!

  14. I hope to see Luke or Wemby on the court at all times, even though they play very well together. I'd like opposing teams to always see at least one of them on the court.

  17. Things to look for in the first ten games. We needed size. We had such a small team especially when Wemby was on the bench. Rebounding controls the game. Perimeter defense. We would leave 3 pt shooters wide open. Missed 3 pt shots from us. We need better game IQ to know when to take those 3s verses pass/drive the basket.

  19. Spurs 5th seed in the western conference. Eliminating the 4th seed in 6. Eliminated by OKC is 5 in the second round.
    Wemby in 30 / 11 / 6 / 1 / 4 in the first allNBA and 4th at the MVP race. Nobody thinks seriously that Wemby won't be DPOY this season (I am sure that he will play more than 65 games).

  20. NO EXCUSES! We have our star center. We have our point guard(s). Actual quality vets. We need to start winning. I think we win 50 games.

  24. I know that we have a different team this year. I know we should be excited. But after the past two seasons of predicting 42 wins at the beginning of each season and seeing the team fall well below our oprimistic predictions, I am going to wait for at least 20 games into the season before I start getting excited. I need to see regular season games against good teams going into our W column before I start getting hyped. But yeah, the PRE-SEASON indicators look hopeful.

  30. Born in S.A. WE WILL win at LEAST 54 games and have the number one defense the NBA. Watch. These guards, we have TWO Starting 5 teams. The bench is DEEP
