Orlando Magic All Access: Preseason Presented by City National Bank
What’s up with it? What’s up, buddy? Check him out. He’s give doing a giveaway, you know. Show him some support. Let him know the city loves him as usual. Hello. How you doing? Nice to meet you. What’s up, man? Oh, yeah. I like that. I like the Braves, man. I like the Braves. The heart that he plays with, the tenacity he plays with. He’s a one-on-one kind of guy. He exemplifies, you know, who we are, our brand of basketball. Appreciate you. Nice to meet you. You got a picture of me? Oh wow. This this one of my favorite pictures right here, bro. There you go, bro. It’s a legendary picture right there. I used to be at the Boys and Girls Club every every week. Yeah, that was for my first ever basketball season like ever. I was like four I was like five four or five years old in that picture. How was your NBA? How was it? Oh, man. It was hard, but it was fun though. It was fun. Started right there. Started right there. just uh taking it one day at a time, you know, enjoying I enjoyed I was on the little hoops. I wasn’t even on the big hoops yet when I took that picture. So enjoying those times and then moving on to, you know, elementary, middle school, just working hard every day, you know, chasing my dreams and then God God blessed me with some height, too. So I grew pretty tall and and you know, got to the NBA. No problem. Nice meeting you guys. Nice meeting you. Got a bunch of fans here, Magic fans. Got a bunch of kids from Boys and Girls Club here. just a overall awesome event. Appreciate it. Have a good season. Thank you, bro. We’ll be watching. Yes, sir. I look forward to seeing y’all. Wanted to get you guys in here early before you guys start the day with me today. Welcome to another year uh 25 26 season uh getting underway. Obviously, we talked about it last year. Uh teams, it always looks a little different. Uh first piece is congratulations to Tristan Bronze. I think one I think I grew into more of a leadership role in that team, not just on the court, but also in practices and just just off the court and stuff like that. So, um know really look forward to doing that here as well. Obviously, it’s a little bit of a different situation, but actually a lot of similarities as well. So, I really look forward to that. And then um obviously being in in a winning environment and um you know, also just creating a a vibe where everybody’s comfortable, everybody um you know, feels like they’re part of the group and um feels like they’re understood by everybody as well. So, um I think that was one of our superpowers honestly with Germany. So, uh, no, I’m looking forward to creating that here as well. Congratulations to Well, for doing something that hadn’t been done in your country. Yeah, that’s good. We know what we are capable of. I mean, we played good, great teams last two years uh in the playoffs, but we know that wasn’t the best of us and you know, we could have done uh so much better. Uh, but now it’s time to work. Um, you know, we have new guys um that is going to click really well uh with the team and all we got to do is uh stay consistent with our work. Uh really believe in our goal and just trust the coaches, trust each other and have each other’s back and it’s going to come. Here’s the reality. No one outside of this room has higher expectations for who was in this room. That’s just the reality of it. The goal is to win a championship. No ducking, no dodging, no moving away from it. The goal is to win a championship. That’s what we’re going to do. Now, mind you, you have 29 other teams saying the exact same thing. Exact same thing cuz that’s what they think they can do. We have the tools. We have the pieces. The last thing is we have you have the mindset to do it. All right? So, I’m going to need you guys to understand that right off the bat. That’s the goal. So whatever they say out there, whatever they put on our plate, don’t matter. Not coming our way. We got that. This is this group. This is who we are. This is what we know we can do. We are going to be on this journey together. There has to be so much joy and accountability to this group that we’re going to change everything for this organization, this franchise for years to come. Love together on 30. 1 2 3. What’s going on y’all? Wendell Carter Jr. here at media day. Super excited seeing all my teammates, coaches. I’m super excited to get training camp going tomorrow. Let’s get it. Hey Squish, man. This was the position that I was born to be in. In front of the camera is where I have to be. Behind the camera is where I was born to be. What up y’all? Dang here. See, I got the three on. Good day to be a Magic fan. Good day to be a Magic player. Beautiful day. Excited. Go ahead. Show them what’s going on in here. See the energy right now. We got uh Pitbull Jay Suggs up here on the stand. It’s a It’s a good day. Everybody tune in. Lock in. Year six flying by. Getting old. All right. This is going to be crazy. Are you yelling? No. The goal is for you to not hear me. You can try to read my lips, but whatever. You come a little closer. I’m staying right here. So far so good. I feel like I’m getting more done than last year. Um skinned a little. It’s being a little bit quicker. I’m very excited about these uniforms. Uh Paulo said it earlier. Best uniforms in the NBA. New logo, new gym, new everything. Yeah, I’ve been I’ve been excited about these all summer. It’s It’s over here. Already. Okay. It’s not It’s not crazy, right? Let’s play. Let’s play. Come on. Come on. Okay. Go. No. No. Go ahead. You lost. Oh, I’m already trying too hard for it to be that bad at the end. These are all going to be like game action sort of thing. Like game face, you know? No, it’s just like No, we’re not. Believe me. training camp is going to be so much fun. Very competitive atmosphere. I can’t wait. Can’t wait to really start to build the foundation of what our greatness is going to be this year and the things we’re going to accomplish. So, yeah. Start of the year is always fun. First day of school. Hey, where my rooks at? Where my rooks at? Jonathan Isaac, Mr. Birthday, man. Happy birthday. Thank you, bro. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Thank you very much. Happy birthday, dear. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. How old? 21. 28. 28. So, we’re going to install plays right now so you understand the focus. I’m put everybody up top. We’re going to explain why we’re doing what we’re doing. Know the position you’re in and then go from there. Here we go. Let’s go. Work it out. It work it out. It out. Greatness. Legacy is what it’s all about. Work it out. Work it out. Work it out. Work it out. No pain, no gain, no doubt. Work it out. It work it out. It work it out. It work it out. It work it out. It work it out. It works. I’m the one who be stepping up. Put it all on the line when I run it up. Nobody put it on like me. Triple beam. Get your free node of the day. Gentlemen, can anybody know who said this? Before that Lombardi went fatigue makes a college of its own. And that brought it came to my mind yesterday when you guys were working off going and as we started to get a little tired it got a little sloppy. Turnover started to happen. As we got a little tired we stopped talking. As we got a little tired the routes changed. As we get tired how mentally tough can we be to push through it? Going into training camp. Uh my expectations are just to compete uh try to win every drill every game. Uh and then for the team, my expectations is just for once again us to compete to learn each other’s games and uh just for us to get better for these weeks before the season. My mental approach going into the season is one day at a time. You know, we have no idea what’s going to happen during the season in the beginning, middle, end. Uh, so I’m not really one to put expectations or a desired outcome. Uh, we’re going to focus each and every day on becoming a better team that day and uh, where we want to be the next day. And we do that, we’ll be right where we end up. In order to be great, you know, you have to deal with pressure and, you know, you have to be in the spotlight a little bit. And, you know, I think the first my first three years here, you know, hasn’t been as much of that. And I think, you know, if we want to win at the highest level, you have to be able to deal with that. And, um, I think that’s what the best are able to do. And so, you know, we want to be the best. And so, you can’t, you know, run from it. You have to accept it and just embrace it. And, um, you know, I think pressure or expectations, whatever you want to call it, I think it brings, you know, the best out of guys and and the best out of coaches and everything and, you know, makes you raise your level of play. Um, and so I’m excited to see just how we handle it and um, you know, how we’re able to put together wins and and do what we want to do in this league and in this season. Uh, you know, Tyson and Desmond, you know, they’re winners. They came from winning um, cultures. You know, they’ve been a part of winning. Uh, they know exactly what it takes to win. So, you know, when you add that to any team, it just makes it a lot easier for everyone else around them. nothing feels forced. Everything feels natural. Um, they’re asking me to do a lot of things that I feel like I’m very capable of doing. So, uh, it’s it’s been it’s been great. On top of that, I just want to be a resource, you know, somebody that guys can lean on, ask questions, talk to, uh, you know, just just be available. T is, you know, probably the the the point guard that everyone loves to play with. He understands the game at a very high level, very high IQ player. And then Desmond, you know, he’s going to bring something that we desperately need and that’s shooting. And then on the defensive end, you know, he’s a dog. You know, that’s something that we that’s that’s our our staple, our character as a team. So, he just adds to that fire. How do you feel you’re adjusting to this group at this point? Uh, I feel like I’m adjusting well. Um, just figuring it out. Uh, figuring out the system, figuring out the guys, just getting the chemistry down and building. and each day is feeling better and better, more comfortable, more familiar. That’s what training camp’s for. And we’re going to continue to focus and try to uh get better each and every day. Um and tomorrow will be a good start for us. This group over the last couple years, you see uh the potential, you see the togetherness that they have and how they root for one another, cheer for one another. Um how close of a bond that they they have, the joy they get from playing alongside each other. And uh I just wanted to join a special group like that and try to help this group take that next step and I’m excited for it. Knowing Jace, you know, they’re way ahead of schedule in my opinion. You know, Jay has his own little swag to him that I love so much. Just the expectation that it’s at a high level around here. Um I think a lot of guys have a lot of goals that we want to achieve this year. So, we’re just coming into training camp with that mindset in mind and, you know, just keeping our head down and keep working. So actually it’s going to be my fourth year uh being a rookie and uh being uh one of the youngest on the team. So I know what it takes to be on the court. Uh first of all it starts off the court uh be a pro having great habits showing that you’re already willing to work and outwork everybody. Just do the stuff that maybe some others won’t do. Uh like having your your hands dirty. Uh put your head where some wouldn’t put their feet. And um yeah, it’s all about effort. I know he introduced himself earlier. This is Levi. Uh this is his his gym. Coach Jamal comes in um a couple days a week and trains jiu-jitsu with me. It started a few years ago uh when he found out we were right across the street from from the training center and uh popped his head in the door and popped by for an open mad and then said, “Man, I’m going to be back in here one day.” And then in the mornings when I’m walking my dog over around the corner, he stops the car and he says, “Man, I got my ghee in the car and I’m going to be in there.” And then 2 years later, he’s in the gym and he’s been working with me now regularly. We do a little strength and conditioning and we do a lot of ghee jiu-jitsu. Buddo, you guys ever heard that word before? Budo. It’s the way of the martial arts. So today was about mental and physical durability, understanding the the Buddha way, the way of the warrior, and for them to have a little bit of a martial arts mindset into their training, which fits very very well with their coach. So, my job was to put some movements in and some exercises and some warm-ups and things we do from jiu-jitsu that will apply directly for them to be able to have better stability, better mental and physical durability in their bodies. Understanding how to use their muscles in a new way, how to apply force and apply weight and have stable base along with being a flighty long running jumping athlete as well. You guys want to be something like the 89 and 90 Pistons, you guys are going to have to be physical and you can’t just play that physicality. You have to be physical. So, you guys are going to have to work on physical durability in your game. You’re going to have to work on biting down on your mouthpiece when you come into contact with guys. You guys are going to hit the floor multiple times. Whether you’re diving for a ball, whether you’re getting knocked down, whether you’re getting boxed out and trip, like there’s a 100 reason why you guys are going to hit the floor. I need you guys to be able to hit the floor with efficiency and get up without wearing yourselves out, right? Getting up sometimes to build that height. You guys are all well over 6 ft. You guys need to be able to get up with more efficiency. So, let’s start with some light breaks. Seven. I’ve learned today about budo, concept of budo. I’ve learned how truly strong Desmond Bane is, and I’ve really got to see how much of a dog Moses is and all he’s doing. But great team activity. All came together. Mind, body, and strength all in one. So, yeah, we we might scrap some guys this year. We really might scrap it too. We were talking about how like as you start to be strong and hold positions like the whole body tenses and you almost like stop like stop yourself breathing. Yeah. You need to be able to relax in those tense situations. This is going to make a big difference because it’s a physical manifestation. Then when it comes to the emotional or mental manifestation of that, it’s a whole different story. You’ll be able to stay loose and relaxed when you feel getting tight inside. And so if you can do it physically, you can do it mentally in the ocean. And that’ll make you guys mentally strong. That’s so dope. Game of going to Puerto Rico. What does that mean? I I I love being in Puerto Rico. I took my family. We went there 2 years ago just to spend some time. Uh the the fans are absolutely amazing. The passion they have for the game. Uh believe it’s like the number one sport there. And it’s just to have that level of passion behind the game and how they love the game. They know the game. It It’s a beautiful thing, you know. I think it’s just going to be fun for our guys to experience that and to be able to put put on a show for the fans there. Good afternoon. It is a great enthusiasm that we welcome you to the inauguration of the newly restored Vanivare basketball court. a space that come back to life. Thanks to the joint effort of the NBA franchise, the Orlando Magic, the municipality of San Juan, and universes. This week, we’re in Puerto Rico celebrating NBA basketball, and growing the Orlando Magic fan base across the island. We have multiple events to really engage the community and grow partnerships such as the one we have with Anna Himenez. Today we’re at a court refurbishment that we did with a local artist right here in San Juan in partnership with Anna Jimenez and hosting local youth for a clinic on court with Nick Anderson and Bo Outlaw. This court it’s a peninsula. We have two rivers. One of the rivers is anime and the other river is Orlando Magic. And what is happening in the center is the force that brought these people to do this project. I’m just a guest here. I am so proud to be part of this project. You can count on me anytime. This project is for you guys. Enjoy. Thank you. For us to be down here in San Juan and and in Puerto Rico, it’s it’s a huge opportunity for us. Orlando’s the second largest Puerto Rican community in the United States. And for us to be able to bring Magic basketball in the NBA down here to the island is an incredible opportunity. As an educational institution, we are proud to open our doors to every initiative that promotes physical activity and strengthens the community we serve. It started as an idea of how we can contribute with the youth in Puerto Rico. Uh Dadana Jimenez is well known for all the sports in all different sports. So we thought it would be a great opportunity for us to give back to the community and help out these kids that will grow to to be businessmen but also to enjoy sports because sports is very very important. I think it shines light on the opportunities. It’s great to be able to show basketball down here live what the best of the best are doing and hopefully that inspires the youth down here on the island to keep pushing, following their dreams and and never give up. Well, the ovation that you’re hearing is for Carlos Aoyo. Already perhaps the most popular player on the basketball club in his first appearance. Look at the Puerto Rican flags being waved here at the KD water center. When I think of my time in Orlando, the community, the Puerto Rican community, just coming to the games and supporting me night in and night out, it was just uh some great times, you know, just seeing the flags all over the stadium, you know, it filled me with with joy. Definitely memories that would stay with me forever that much at this point. Nobody needs to get fouled. The Magic are shooting the ball with great confidence. Loose, free, and easy here in the fourth quarter. Miami Heat, Orlando Magic playing in Puerto Rico just to finally see it happen. I wish I I could have been dressing up like I told you. But I’m extremely extremely excited about that. I know the people of Puerto Rico are excited. Extremely proud of just having the NBA in Puerto Rico. The energy around basketball right now is is super high with our BSN league and our national team continuing to do good. So, people are excited. People are can’t wait for October 4th and see the guys down in in Puerto Rico. Morning gentlemen. Uh so like I said before uh this is just an extension of training camp. You start probably play the first half and first time home. So treating it like a training camp. Same concept, same idea. Okay. Bet it all on me. Step to the line. That’s three. Wait to the ground. That’s heavy. Locked in. I got the green light. I got the green light. I got the green light. I got the green light. From San Juan, Puerto Rico tonight. The first preseason game. A four-game preseason for the Orlando Magic. Moment away from the opening tip. David Steele and Jeff Turner. Glad to be with you on this Saturday night as we tip off another season of NBA basketball. Jones from the corner. Got it for three. Bane attacks and lays it in. Mano matched up against the runner is no good. Rebounded by Bane. Orlando’s got numbers. Bane to D Silva for three. Got it. That’s a drive by Bane and a dish by Bane to Carter for two more. Driving into the lane. Kicks it out to Richardson. Got it for three. Richardson coming hard off the screen. Black for three. He got it. Boy, the three ball falling for the magic. Seeing all the guys that are are trying to make a name for themselves in Orlando Robinson doing just that on that play. Lot to look forward to and the Magic get a victory in preseason game number one tonight in San Juan, Puerto Rico. 126 to 118. That is the final score. positive to look at in this situation. We only turn it over six times in the second half. We’ll keep taking care of the basketball. What we do have to clean up is the fact that we’re following and a lot of that is positioning and Johnson. So clean off the day off tomorrow. Back at it on Monday and cut us three family on six. 1 2 3. Hello, this is Fran from Plan Fitness. How can I help you? Today, me and Mo are uh working here at the desk at Plan Fitness, checking people in, wishing them a great workout, and um yeah, it’s it’s probably my first real job in life. So, uh it’s it’s fun. Now, clamping with employees. Okay. So, when people come in, they fill up a barcode on their app. It’ll either be like a black screen with a barcode or a purple screen with a barcode. Someone’s hearing this sound. That’s the way you’re going. That’s good. Their name pops up here. I got you. I’ll let you go. No notes. Hm. Okay. My guy owes us $27. $27? Yeah. $26.9. Okay. Come on, France. Get your a game together. You ready? Game time. Game time, baby. How you doing? How you doing? What’s up, bro? Let me check you in, sir. Oh, you got it. There you go. Hell yeah. We got to do anything. One for one, baby. What’s up? Congrats on your basket. Thank you. Appreciate you. Thank you. man. This is my little brother, Elijah. What’s up, man? He’s got something to ask. Come on. Can you sign it for me? Of course. Thanks, guys. Thank you so much for having course. No worries. Good to see you guys. France, you got to get ready here. No, this is yours. It’s mine. Yeah, there you go, guys. Good to meet you, guys. Good to meet you. Nice to meet you, Elijah. Go ahead, sir. You’re good. All right. So, ready? The adrenaline was rushing already. What time do we open? 5 a.m. on Monday. 5:00 a.m. Sharp. The address. We’re here by the Best Buy. I think it’s on Lee Road. Yeah, of course. Of course. Go magic. Byebye. Put the phone in the Thank you. So, I guess I could like I was a little nervous there. We’ve been here now for 5 years almost. So, this is our fifth year. And the more we can engage with uh yeah the fans, people that maybe don’t get to see us every day, um the better. Obviously, we kind of want to give back, too, because obviously there’s this this vibe going on about Magic Basketball, and it’s cool to kind of give back and engage from the outside. I think that’s one of the most rewarding parts of of our life, honestly. You know, I think playing basketball obviously is is really fun and what we love to do, but one day when we’re done playing, I think that’s what’s going to stick most. You know what I mean? I think the people that you kind of maybe inspired or you know took with you on the journey and um that’s why you know we want to you know take advantage of as many opportunities as you get. How was your summer? Good summer. I like Hell yeah. Awesome. Good job. That was almost an entertainment show. That’s okay. That happened. You guys have fun. That’s got a birthday. 18. Yeah. How old it? 20. Come on up. We just We just got one to one, huh? Started the season yet. Happy birthday. You got to sing. I got to sing to myself. Happy birthday, dear. Happy birthday to you. I don’t want us to forget what we are. And you guys talked about it the other day in the huddle. What is our identity? It goes a long way. And y’all can just continue to talk to each other in the right way. Voice your opinion, voice your thoughts, see what you see. Cuz you guys are on the floor. You guys have the huddles. You guys have the after free throws. have those moments where you guys got to communicate at the highest clip. And I I want to continue to keep going and baking into what we are. This is what we’ve done. This is what you guys have proven both offensively and defensively. So, I’m just going to keep showing the reminders daily as much as we can and put these up so we can repeat them to each other and we know exactly what we’re holding ourselves and our feet to the fire. We’re underway on this Thursday night. Shot clock down to seven. Long pass picked off by Vagner. Bronze off to the races. Scoops it up and in to Bane. Nice bounce pass to Carter down low to Isaac for the dunk. Bane drives, gives it to Paulo. There’s the pass crosscourt for an open black three. Vano guarding him. And then Bataz gobbles up the shot. Loose ball scooped up by Bane. Ahead to black global for the double. A showtime Jones to Bane. Bane a jumper. It rolls around and in. So now Jed Howard rebound Hawkins poked away by Richardson. Carter puts it in. Richardson floater, can’t get it to go. Loose ball. Richardson diving, saves it for the magic and bounc. What a hustle play by Chase Richardson. Four victories in four starts in the preseason for the Magic. The final is 132 to 125. Here’s how the preseason goes. real point. All right. So, I understand what we need to do, where we need to clean up, where we got to get better. One thing that I’m enjoying more than anything, we had 33 assists tonight. It’s so unselfish the way that thing was popping. And that’s how we have to continue to put pressure on teams. And you guys see the starters, y’all felt how gas you were, right? So, you guys got the next guys come in, got to be ready to go. We want to keep the pressure on teams. Our strength is our depth. Our strength is our depth. And we going to keep doing that.

GOOD LUCK BOYS!! Gonna be a legendary season!
hey magic, I have been a fan from the UK for 30 years. I watched shaq and penny destroy everyone in small highlights we could get back then. I stay up and watch games that start at midnight and work the next day. I finally get an opportunity to see them in the UK this season in London and the cheapest tickets are the best part of £300. I think it's a disgrace I have been priced out of watching them play in person. gutted
Go Magic!!!
dropping an All Access video tonight…? yall are not helping w how freakin excited i am for this season. haha.
i know everyone's talkin about what bane does for paolo and franz, but i think a duo to watch is actually Bane and Carter. he unlocks wendell + they've got great chemistry. we saw some of it in preseason.
Man, I love me some Goga. He just seems like a fun, genuine dude.

Have a feeling…🏆
Thanks for including my interview at the beginning!!! Also, i LOVE the martial arts incorporation because that unlocks another mindset as well as knowing how to fall correctly and get up and back in the fight with less energy exerted!!! Love this episode!!!
I love that orlando magic is also helping the community
"We comin, fo sho" – Desmond Bane. Let's freaking go man.
