Here’s a weird stat. Looking at the Panthers all time leading rushers, Bryce is #20, Rico is #21. Bryce currently has 20 more yards on 2 more carries. I knew Bryce used his legs but I didn’t know it was like that.
Bryce should lead the rushing attack. He’s small enough to fit in between the tackles legs like a hobbit sneaking into Mordor, Bryce Young will lead us to victory

Bryce is sneaky athletic. I’ve been saying for a while that I’d love to see more designed roll-outs because he can make some plays with his feet and he’s great at seeing the field and improvising. A lot of his best plays at Alabama weren’t pocket passes.
The concern is obviously his size and taking hits, so he needs to be *very* smart about getting rid of the ball and minimizing contact. But I think he’s smart enough to make good decisions there.
Still don’t know why we didn’t keep Mike Davis around. I hope Rico isn’t another 1-and-done like him.
