  1. By the way, as a Tyler Herro (and Bam) defender, not extending him right away was absolutely the right move. He still has 2 years left on his deal, and a lot can happen between now and next year, such as injuries.

    Locking him up immediately would’ve been a mistake because, on the unlikely chance a trade opportunity for a true 1A superstar comes along or if the season is going poorly and they decide to rebuild, the Heat would lose that flexibility.

    And if Herro takes another leap, I could definitely see Miami giving him an (non-max) extension. The only bad move would’ve been signing him right now and limiting their options.

  2. They were definitely right to not extend. Let everything play out these next two years and Much love to herro but bro isn’t a true #1. we haven’t seen him decent in the playoffs since rookie year. Not to mention his health is questionable sometimes so imo it was the right move.

  3. Tyler needs to prove it in the playoffs. No amount of regular season hype will cut it.
