Can’t ever have enough but 7 good to great SPs on contract through 2029 at least takes any pressure off.
Well, guess that means it’ll be at least 1-2 months of watching Warren look like a slightly above average starter, melt down, then look ok again
Freddy Peralta come on down
My delusional ass is still praying for Paul skenes to get traded to the Yankees
You think? Blue jays exposed a massive hole in starting pitching
Rodon’s postseason history in pinstripes leaves Yankees in potential market for starters.
And the madness starts already. Fire the fucking strengthening and conditioning team!
Is a trade for deGrom possible, he’d be a nice addition
And Boone, volpe, Dominguez, coming back leaves me as a sad disappointed Yankee fan.
When does Michael king become a FA
I feel like most of the free agent pitchers are a massive risk- not that they’re entirely unlikely to do well, but just a really high risk to wind up injured to an extent that we have another Cole-in-2025 situation on our hands.
I’d only go with Michael King or Chris Sale and they’re not guarantees, either, but I’d feel the safest with them- assuming Sale doesn’t re-sign with the Braves…
But either way, we need more starters. We just do. I know there are only so many roster spots and we have a lot of pitching already, but yeah…
Sale I’d only go 1 year/$20M and King I’d go 4 years/$130M guarantee w/ a $10M signing bonus and a $10M buyout on a $30M club option that could take it to 5 years/$160M.
We’re getting Cole back, which is like a Trade!
I miss the days when we had like 5 quality starters.
Musina, andy pettite, roger clemens, Chien-Ming Wang, Sabathia etc
And Boone, volpe, Dominguez, coming back leaves me as a sad disappointed Yankee fan
Can’t wait to see what bargain basement diving Cashman has planned.
I think that he could possibly be back sometime later in spring training, at the latest, within the first month of the regular season.
They’ll be in the market for a starter, but I doubt they sign anyone significant. I wouldn’t give up the farm for Skubel, because you’ll only have him for one year; he’d be a fool to sign an extension. I’d look for a guy on a 1-year deal like Gallen or Cease, or someone of that caliber who might be looking for a rebound year and see if Blake can work with him.
I can see them building Weaver up to start and then moving him to the bullpen when Cole is back.
Pen, 3B and SS and OF are more important
I think we should look at Marcus Stroman, he’s a free agent, solid #5, raised a Yankees fan, probably could get him on the cheap
