What is going on guys? Brad here from pits.com and I got a pick in this Nets versus Hornets game going down on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025. But, let’s get right into this one, guys. Uh, probably one of the uglier games we have uh for this Wednesday NBA slate. The Brooklyn Nets and the Charlotte Hornets going at it. Uh, let’s just cover up some injury news here. So, LaMelo Ball isn’t going to play in this game. Um, who knows when when LaMelo Ball comes back, but as you know, I feel like this this Hornet team is is built around LaMelo. So, um, kind of tough there. On the other hand, it does look like Brandon Miller is going to return back to action. If you guys don’t remember, he was kind of balling out last season. He did hurt his wrist and uh he was out for well like kind of the the whole second half of the year. But it was a nightmare nightmare season for Charlotte. You know, they had kind of some bright spots in the beginning of the season when LaMelo was healthy, when Brandon Miller was healthy, but down the stretches was a really bad team. Um also Brooklyn Nets, a team that was a really good cover team. Um they cashed in a lot of tickets, especially early in the season, but similar to the Hornets down the stretch, they were pretty bad as well. And this Brooklyn team’s kind of looking kind of going with a new look here. Um they got Edgar Dem starting at point guard. Then you got Cam Thomas at shooting guard, Terrence Man at small forward, Michael Porter Jr. at power forward, and Nick Claxton at center. So a new look Nets team, guys. We haven’t seen this team play together before. It’s going to be hard for me to really handicap this squad and make a guess how they’re going to play, but kind of an interesting starting lineup there. Um, I don’t think the Nets are going to be too good. So, this is a tough game, guys. Um, while I’m recording this, it looks like the Hornets are laying five and a half. And the way I’m looking at this game is I just think this is a a game between two bad teams without LaMelo. Am I really trying to lay five and a half with the Hornets? I don’t want to lay five and a half with the Hornets against anyone. So, I’m going to take a shot here with Brooklyn. I think Michael Porter Jr. will be a fun little addition. Uh Cam Thomas, we know what he could do. It’s probably going to be a situation where the Nets just have the ball in Cam Thomas’s hands and they’re going to be like, “Hey, make a play.” Um not a game I’m going to bet though. This is not a game I’m going to bet. I think this is probably, like I said, the worst game on Wednesday slate. But if you’re dying to bet it [ __ ] I’ll take the Nets at five and a half here.
