Toronto Blue Jays fans take to the streets to celebrate ALCS win in 1992 | #torontobluejays #mlb
[Applause] It wasn’t the dome, but fans here had a seventh inning stretch of their own. The singing and cheering went right up until the final play of the game. Highfly ball toward the line and left, calling for it is Maldonado. And the Blue Jays have finally won the pennet. [Applause] [Music] I’m ecstatic. I’ve been waiting for this my whole life. I followed them in 85 and they didn’t do it. They did it this year. I’m ecstatic. Everybody’s going nuts. We are up there, man. We are the best. Number one. [Music] Within minutes of the game ending, Young Street was packed. Cars cruised the downtown core for about 30 minutes before police roped off the area. [Applause] The boisterous crowd caused a few traffic jams, but no major problems were reported. We’re going to take it in six. We started with Morris is going to win the next game for sure. There’s no way Jay’s all the way. Yeah. Official merchandise $15 a t-shirt. [Music] And although it seems like the streets belong to Blue Jay fans, there were a few surprises. This couple from Connecticut didn’t come out for the party, but to go to the theater. I’m a Red Sox fan. A Red Sox fan. I grew up in Boston. I mean, I can’t I wrote for for Toronto, but only minimally. [Music]
