  1. A majority of the money must have not been guaranteed because no way he turned down $100M….right???

  2. Well this sub has decided last nights game is all that matters. So tari sucked and I guess he will just always suck now. Oh well.

  3. Dude got greedy. His agent must have hyped him up or something. I don’t blame him for wanting to secure the bag, but he overplayed his hand.

  4. It makes sense to have some nonguaranteed money with his injury concerns. Stone has already shown he’s cautious about future risk – thank heavens for that KPJ non-guaranteed contract, right?

  5. Don’t blame him for wanting guaranteed money so he sets up himself for life.

On our end, given his injury history sounds like we gave him a pretty fair offer.

  6. Unless Tari turns in to Kawhi Leonard at some point this season he’s not getting a better offer.

  7. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Tari.

He is out of his mind if he thinks a guy that cant dribble, makes many dumb mistakes, misses tons of games, cant create for himself or others, has inconsistent defense, and shoots 34% from 3 is worth more than that.

  8. it really depends on how much of that was non guaranteed.. It could be a similar situation as KPJ where he got like 4 years but only the 1st year was guaranteed and the rest is has be incentive based like possibly games played for Tari’s case cause of his injury concerns.

  9. Tari only played 21 minutes in a double overtime game. Trade Tari for Reaves. AR15 would instantly be the best ball handler, passer and shooter on the team (besides KD ofc). He would fit perfectly with this team. His defense is adequate (looked a lot better last night) but his playmaking, shooting, ball handling, passing would make the offense a lot better

  10. Whether it was 5 years and $20m+ or 4 years and $25m+ makes all the difference, since Jabari got 5/$122m.

Jabari definitely looks like the better long-term prospect (esp after last night), but Tari *has* been the more productive player in terms of analytics/impact stats for their first 3 years, so I’m guessing his agent brought that up.

  11. Did his agent show him the contracts Can Thomas, Grimes, and Kuminga got this offseason? I hope this doesn’t turn into another D-Mo “he knows his rights” BJ Armstrong situation. Kids getting fed lies by incompetent agents.

  12. This was obviously leaked by our camp to make him look dumb. And in that case, I’m very skeptical if it was actually a good deal or not.

  13. Rockets fans are in a rude awakening. Tari is the type of player EVERYONE wants. You are going to have to overpay or some else will
