Yay.
Jake??? The guy that didn’t hit all playoffs???? That Jake?????
lol
It must be a down year for utility players.
Exactly just how bad were other utility players that Jake ended up being a finalist despite this having been such a mediocre season for him?
Jake don’t deserve shitt for his piss ass playoff performance!
Jake deserves the most likely to end an inning with runners in scoring position award
huh? Jake gotta find the crone zone with RISP next year, and stop bunting
I hate when Padre fans shit on our own players. Fucking sad.
For all the people shitting on Jake, he had a .367 OBP – tied for 7th in the NL with Freddie Freeman. He actually had a pretty good season notwithstanding the Wildcard series.
I’m here to say who gives a shit. Win games that matter.

Jake isn’t a star by any means, but he had a pretty productive year. 108 OPS+ and 2.4 bWAR. It was his best year since 2022.
The fuck they are lol.
Where’s Nate Colbert?
Oops. This is 2025. I’ll catch up.
Jake always hit well with less than 2 outs. He often came to the plate with 2 outs and no one on base and then he’d try to hit jacks. The dynamic changed later in the season.
There’s criticism, and then there’s negativity it’s two completely different things. Absolutely players need to be open to criticism, but to constantly degrade and belittle our own players does nothing but spread negativity. And in the world we live in do we really need to continue this to players we root for, and hope do well? I don’t see that as something worth while, but to each their own.
this sub talks about cronenworth like he’s trenton brooks
Cronenworth, really?
Jake? lol he was batting 8th cuz he had kind of a down year no?
Instead of many of y’all having a come to Jesus moment and realizing you were wrong about Jake having a terrible season, it seems y’all are just doubling down on that nonsense rather than realizing that the guy actually had a decent season. This was his best year since 2022. The guy is not a superstar player, but he is a solid utility player.
In case anyone is curious:
Here are the San Diego Padres players who have won a National League Silver Slugger Award, listed by the number of times they won the award with the team.
