GET UP | Seahawks, 49ers & Rams all lead 5-2 record. Who will win NFC West this season?

header on Monday Night Football last night. So, while you were probably sleeping, Sam Darnold and the Seahawks hosting the Texans. And we pick it up. Final seconds, first quarter, Seattle already up 7 nothing. And Nick, I give you Jackson Smith and J. Oh, he might be the best receiver in football. Explosive plays after explosive plays. And even in these short catches, he can make himself open and concentrate in that situation. And he’s got hot. That throw was crazy. His fantasy team. That is Nate. That is Nate Joles, former DB from Ruckers played in the league as well. Oh, how about him getting in there. This is a Texans fourth down. Sort of a last gasp effort there. Straoud doesn’t have it on the night. Sam Darnold didn’t have one of his best nights, but the Seahawks get the win nonetheless. They needed that win just to keep pace. But the Rams and 49ers in what is without question the best division in football. Look at that. The only one where there were three teams, three games over 500. Those top three teams bunched up in the odds as you see to win the division at ESPN B. So, let’s start with that. We started big picture. Is that a PL? Was that 10,000? I didn’t know how many zeros that was on the Cardinals. So many zeros. I didn’t. Don’t boost that. I didn’t look closely at it. I might have been boosted already. We started big picture on the first game. Let’s start big picture on this one as well. You see those three big teams there. Niners, Seahawks, Rams. I got people telling me yesterday the Rams are the best team in the whole NFC. Who’s the best team in this division, Jac? I’m going with the Seattle Seahawks. That was a team I picked in the beginning of the season to win the division and nothing has told me anything different. The way they play on the defensive side of the ball and Sam Darnold and Jackson Smith and Jigba. That connection between those two players every single week. It’s an explosive play and it’s Jackson Smith and Jigba ending up in the end zone. I I mean I think I agree with you. However, the Rams won 35 to7 over the weekend against the Jaguars who are not a bad team. And we know that uh Matt Stafford and those receivers, even without Puka, we know they can score with anybody. And that defensive front that they have in LA is just as scary as Leonard Williams and them boys in Seattle. So, I don’t know. The Rams going to give him a run. I I I’m still leaning Seattle here. I I I like what they do. I think they’re a physical team, especially defensively. They get after you. They pressure you. Sam Darnold is playing extremely good football. I know last night wasn’t his best, but he still made some throws that make you go, “Wow.” like he made he made some things and then and then uh JSN is just he’s a differencemaker. We haven’t even mentioned the 49er. No one has mentioned the for who just find a way to keep winning with everybody hurt and McCaffrey having an MVP kind of season. Danny and absolute credit to the 49ers for doing what they’re doing. you look over the I mean there there’s a lot of season left and Nick Bosa and Fred Warner are not coming back and I just think eventually that catches up to the niners especially in a division like this where you have two other extremely good teams and by the way the Cardinals are no fun to play all their losses are by four points or less. So I I think eventually that catches up with the 49ers. I I still like the Rams to win it. I just feel like you know Seattle has everything you want except you know proof of concept. We haven’t seen them win the division. We’ve seen Shawn McVeyy’s Rams win it. We’ve seen Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers win it. But, uh, Seattle capable. There’s no question about it. Can we put up B9 really quickly, Cindy? Because there’s another thought that I think a lot of people probably have as they watch Daniel Jones dominating the league and playing as well as he did on Sunday and then Sam Darnold last night. The Vikings made the decision to walk away from or let Sam Darnold walk away from them. So far this year, he has 12 touchdowns, four picks. His QBR is sixth best in the league. The Vikings collective QBs with a QBR of 37. That would be 29th in the NFL. And a reminder, it wasn’t just Darnold, but Daniel Jones that got away as well. And so, we sit here on this morning and I get it that they haven’t had JJ McCarthy yet, but I don’t know exactly what that even means. Go ahead, Dan. It’s part of the problem, right? I mean, like that’s JJ McCarthy was coming off an injury and we hadn’t seen him play. So, now he’s played two games, didn’t play particularly well in either of them, and hasn’t played since week two. So, you know, yeah, it’s e at this point, like if you trusted Kevin Oonnell to get this decision right, then you can still do that and there’s 11 games left for them to to show you he was right. But based on the way the season’s gone so far, it’s worth questioning whether they made the right decision when they let Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones leave, told Aaron Rogers, “No thanks,” and said, “We’re going with the Yeah, I I think like in a vacuum that would make that that that plays out.” But Sam Darnold didn’t play well at the end of last season, right? Like part part of the reason why they moved on is because in the final week against the Lions, he struggles and I I think he had less than less than or right about 150 yards no playoff game in the playoffs get sacks nine times. So I think they decided to move on because of their potential at the end of seasons. And so I would just say this if I’m going to air I’m going to air on the side of KC. So if he thought JJ McCarthy is their guy, unfortunately you can’t control injuries in the NFL. He he’s been banged up if he gets back. But I would not have I would not have sold my franchise to bring Aaron Rogers in or even Daniel Jones for that matter if you got to pay those guys as opposed to building from within with KO. I mean, I assume you wouldn’t have to wouldn’t have to have paid Daniel Jones as much as you would have for Darnold. But either way, like I agree with you in your defense of KOC. However, you can’t argue it right now. Like it’s kind of inarguable. You look at the two quarterbacks that were just there what they’re doing in different places and what you have quarterback like right now. they made the wrong decision, but they made a decision that’s for long term and maybe a higher ceiling. So by the end of the year, by next year, by the year after that, that’s when you measure the decision. But you got to get that kid on the field though. Like if he doesn’t play, he’s not going to get better. And I think also when you look at the circumstance for Daniel Jones, it made more sense for him to go to Indianapolis. It was a better opportunity to earn a starting job. And for Sam Darnold, to your point, the price tag was so high that you do bet on the future and hope that JJ McCarthy can stay healthy and go out there and play good football. I’m not saying it’s the likeliest scenario, but we could we could be living in a world where Daniel Jones and Sam Darnold meet in the Super Bowl. That’d be a pretty that’d be a pretty tough day for Minnesota, I would think. As we continue, is Dak Prescott the Week seven. It’s time for overreaction. Tuesday, we have Dan Graciano. We have Jeff Saturday. We’re going to start with Dan. The statement is this. The Vikings should have resigned Sam Darnold. Okay, Dan. Is that an overreaction or not an overreaction? It’s not an overreaction and I fully admit this is a complete flip-flop. I thought they were doing the right thing, but I think we’re seven weeks in. You can at least question when you think about they let Sam Darnold and Daniel Jones leave the building. They told Aaron Rogers, “No thanks.” And it was all because of JJ McCarthy, who’s played a game and a half, hasn’t looked that good. Uh, and now they got Carson Wentz playing as a backup. I I think there is time for Kevin Oonnell and the Vikings to prove their decision right, but if you are questioning it right now, I think you have some ground. This is an overreaction and he you are a flip-flopper at the last two games of Darnold last year against the Lions. I I think he threw for 166 yards. He was he was lost and in the playoffs they lose. He gets sacked nine times in the game. Everybody was like, “It’s time to move on. He’s got you to the to the the top level he can get you to. You got to move on to How about we just trust Kevin Oonnell to do his thing. Unfortunately with McCarthy being banged up, but to say right now they should have resigned Sam D, I think is a massive overreaction. Not a surprise, a flip-flopper from my man Dan early today. And we’re getting into fall and we’re in flip-floppy season if you’re Dan Graciano. Heavy accusation from Jeff Saturday. No quarterback questions in KC. So, the question is, Dan, the Chiefs are going back to the Super Bowl. Overreaction or not an overreaction? Not an overreaction, which is weird because right now they don’t actually have a playoff spot uh with their record. But the way they’re playing right now with their offense at full strength with Patrick Mahomes playing the way he is, I I mean, I I I think you have to given their track record, I I think you have to believe that it’s it’s a strong possibility that they get back to the Super Bowl right now. They look as good on offense as they’ve looked in about a half a decade. Uh and and I don’t see any reason why they can’t keep it going. Yeah, this pains me to say I’m going to say not an overreaction. But then I’m going to flip-flop and I’m going to say the Colts are the best team in the NFL. The only the the issue for me is, and Dan said it, you’re talking about Patrick Mahomes, right? Like he goes every year and it just it’s just it’s infuriating if you’re in the AFC. I do like I think the Colts are the most balanced team in the NFL. So, I’m I’m I’m saying not an overreaction, but I’m flip-flopping. I’m sticking with my Colts. I’m riding I’m ride or die right there. And the Colts have the record

  1. 49ers been winning with backups to the backups. The offense should be better once Kittle, B.A and Pearsall are all back from injuries. The defense there’s still a lot of questions with all the young players and missing Warner and Bosa sucks!!

  2. Hate only makes niners better. Soon when everyone comes back that s going to be more Haters. We winning without our best players . Wait and see it's only going to get better Bang Bang NINER GANG
    💪💪 💪

  3. Great coaching wins you games! These clowns don't know what they're saying. Saleh and Shanahan dial up good game plans and find ways to win! Go Niners!!

  4. Rams are winning the division, the Whiners won’t be able to finish, they are very fortunate barely winning games it isn’t sustainable, the defense won’t be able to hold up, they still have to play 10 games and think they go 5-5 at best and end up 10-7 and the Seahawks go 11-6, Rams 12-5 😎

  5. Nobody mentions the 49ers even though the Niners bear bothering favourites with a busted team. How will they play when most of the injured return, don’t get commentators continually ignoring the Niners. Strange.

  6. as a Rams guy, Seahawks are the best in the league. They dont make the stupid mistakes as my Rams. Even the blow out win against the Jags didnt feel like the Rams were Dominant. We just lucky that the Jags are probably the dumbest team in the league.

  7. Despite the 49ers hate, I gotta say I’m really happy to see the NFC West be the best division in the league again. Makes for good football

  8. You guys are high Rams are easily the best in division. Rams killed Darnold last year twice. Puka is better than JSN, Seattle has only 1 wr, Rams have Devante and Puka, Rams DL is way better than Seattles OL and Stafford has 17 tds 2 Ints way better than Darnold.

  9. That’s what I was thinking how the hell if we be undefeated and still not considered the favorites.
They had the good majority of their players this year and we don’t
