Philadelphia 76ers 2025-2026 Regular Season Outlook | Predictions

Kind of an odd room to do this in, but you know what? It’s Sixers open at night tomorrow, so I got to get it done. Listen, honestly, right off the jump, right off the bat, I think the Sixers could win the East this year. I’m not just talking about the Eastern Conference like in the regular season. I’m talking about to get to the finals. You know, you look at the Indiana Pacers. Hallebertton is out for the year. You You look at the Boston Celtics. Tatum is out for the year. You look at the Knicks in front of us. Good team. They’re a pretty good team, but they lost to the Indiana Pacers who they’re a good team. They’re not a great team even with Hallebertton. Let’s be real. The Knicks actually downgraded when it came to coaching. So, honestly, I know this is going to hurt a lot of people’s feelings when it comes to the Knicks, especially my two friends in in the group chat, cuz they’re all cocky. Like Nick’s fans are the most cockiest [ __ ] on the face of the earth for no reason. They got Mike [ __ ] Brown. Mike Brown’s an awful head coach. They should have just kept um Thibido. Honestly, he’s an awful head coach. Nick’s fans are cocky for no reason. They’re just like Giants fans. And honestly, they’re just like Yankees fans. But at least the Yankees, to their credit, have 27 titles. These other two franchises, they [ __ ] suck. The Knicks have two titles, one less than the Sixers. You know, the Knicks fans talk like they’ve owned the NBA for decades. They’ve had what, three good seasons. It was all because of Theo, and they got rid of the only guy that made them uh made them what they were. Yeah, I’ll give I’ll give credit to Jaylen Bronson. Sure, good player from Villanova. Lucky, whatever. I just don’t fear the Knicks. I don’t know what it is. I don’t fear them. That’s why it sets up the Sixers to win the East. It really does. Now, there’s a big part in it. Joel Embiid absolutely has to stay healthy this season, the entire season, because in my opinion, to win the East, you need homecourt advantage. You absolutely need that homecourt advantage because you need to make sure that your fans are into it. Because granted, whether you like to admit it or not, and if you’re down on the Sixers, that’s fine. I’m I’m a dieh hard Sixers fan. So, obviously, I’m going to talk about the Sixers as much as I can this year. Hopefully, after every single Sixers game, I’ll do some shows when when I’m free. But when it comes to the Sixers, I had season tickets for four years. I gave them up last year because I didn’t like the direction they were heading. And obviously, I got lucky because they got injured. I didn’t renew this year. I’m gonna go to some games this year, but I didn’t renew this year. The biggest key is Joel Embiid because for once in like the last 20 years, 25 years, this team actually has a bench. You got Grimes. You resigned Grimes. That was a major major keep. I don’t think he’s going to be here next year, so you have to take advantage. That was a major keep. Um, you have obviously Tyrese Maxi, um, Joel Embiid, Paul George when he’s healthy, you know, VJ Edgecomb. I’m not too big on VJ. I’ll be honest with you. I know he’s had a good preseason, but until he shows me otherwise, I would have rather had Ace Bailey. I think he could prove me wrong, though. We’ll see what happens. And, uh, obviously you have, um, kid from Duke. What’s his face? Oh, uh, Jared McCain. How could I forget his name? I I love Jared McCain. So when he comes back from injury, which is going to be probably January, February, hopefully this team’s rolling. This team is actually deep for once. And a lot of people are out of them. They’re out on them. It’s fine to say that, but I think you guys are sadly mistaken when it comes to the talent of this team, especially because the majority of the teams in front of us, the teams that have beaten us in the years prior are banged up. This is the year we have to take advantage. I’m going to do a prediction for the season right now. I’m going to say the Sixers win the Eastern Conference in the regular season by five games. The Sixers go to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2001 and they unfortunately lose to OK Oklahoma City Thunder in six games. But at least they get there. It’s a start. Then we could start talking about, you know, getting more stars and whatnot to help out Joel Embiid for probably three more years because that’s pretty much all he’s going to be here for. And it will make it’ll make star athletes want to come here. So, if you get to the finals, if you put up a good fight against OK uh Oklahoma City Thunder, cuz they’re [ __ ] they’re amazing. They’re an amazing squad. They have stars all around. um probably some of probably the best um starting five in like the last 20 years maybe. They’re a good team. They’re a really good team. They built through the draft. They did it right. Um but that’s pretty much it. You know, I’m not one of those fans that’s going to shoot you wolf tickets. I’m going to tell you how it is. As much as I would love to see the Sixers win the title this year, I personally don’t see that happening because the West is too dominant. But then again, we have the best player in the NBA. So, as long as he stays healthy, we have a shot. Um, that’s my prediction on the outlook for the season. And, uh, we got Boston tomorrow. [ __ ] Boston. I’ll be back with the post game tomorrow.
