This changes EVERYTHING for the Bengals… | Cincinnati Bengals News
This changes everything for the Cincinnati Bengals. Reports are coming out when Joe Burrow could return in December. We’re going to break down what this means and what games he could be returning to play. Even though the Bengals are firing on all cylinders with Joe Flacco, what could this mean for the Bengals offense? Welcome to the jungle. This is Isaac Kaufman with Bengals Digest. Happy to see you Bengals fans. And if you want to get in on the discussion, make sure you are subscribed by hitting that subscribe button down below. We appreciate each one of you. So there was a report that just came out that Joe Burrow is looking to be returning in December. Things are going well on the rehab side of things. And you have to feel with Joe Flacco who was acquired from the Browns and played so well in that Thursday night game against the Steelers, Burrow might be feeling it a little bit. He’s always had that competitive edge. Could that be contributing to it? It’s hard to say, but the report is encouraging to see because the Bengals need to get their franchise quarterback back. I’ve seen comments of they’ve got Joe Flacco now. I’m all for let’s let’s see what Joe Flacco can do, but it’s too early to be talking about making Joe Flacco the starter. You’re talking about a 40-year-old quarterback that is still showing he can put up numbers. But at the end of the day, you want Joe Burrow back. He is your franchise quarterback. He has got that chemistry with Jamar Chase that’s unlike anything. As much as Flaco has had some chemistry as well, you just can’t beat what Joe Burrow brings to the table. So, here’s a report that was from Ian Rapaort. He had to say about Joe Burrow’s return. He said, “My guess is the last two or three games of the season. Burrow has a chance, but if they’re alive, then I think we really may see Burrow, which is suddenly pretty realistic. So, it’s more and more as the weeks go by. Looking like Burrow is going to be back in December. So, he’s talking about at least the last two, but maybe three. So, we’re looking at the last two to three games of the season. You’re looking at best case scenario, if it’s the last three, that would be at Miami on December 21st. And that would be great to see honestly because Joe Burrow is going to be coming back from injury. He seems like the type that he just needs to get his feet wet before he really starts clicking. He’s a competitive person, so I could also see him coming right out the gate if he were to start that game and just start clicking again. It’s hard to say. Again, December feels like it’s far away, but it’s not. It Here we are. We’re coming into November already. I can’t believe how fast time is going by. But if that’s the case, that’s what we’re looking at. They will be in Miami playing the Dolphins. And the Dolphins have not looked the part. So that should be a win. I’m just going to say right now. Things can change obviously, but as of right now, they’ve got a really good schedule at the end of the year. They have at Miami, that is again December 21st. That would be the absolute earliest that Joe Burrow could return. And then you have at home against Arizona. And those are two teams that I think you can win those games. I don’t think those again as of right now things can change injuries those types of things they should be able to pull that off with Joe Burrow. I think that’s a favorable either one of those games if he were to return be able to get his feet wet so to say get back into strides get back into those reps and not be this powerhouse team that is um you know going to be overwhelming defense. I feel like he could get comfortable and as well as the offensive line has been starting to play. That is also another thing. Hopefully this offensive line will really start clicking. They’ll really start to be putting things together to give Joe Burrow protection, especially coming back from injury. That’s just something where you kind of hold your breath. My only concern would be is Joe Burrow going to be pushing the comeback kind of having that competitive edge to him and also seeing Joe Flaco do so well. And it I know one game that he has really played well was the Steelers game. I’m still excited to see what Flaco can do, but I think he’s got the attention of Burrow a little bit here. You know, are they going to stick with Flaco? Let’s say Flaco’s got them into playoff contention, got them on some winning streaks to where they have a choice. Do you play the hot hand of Flaco who is playing well or go back to Burrow who is going to probably need to get familiar again with those reps? Just those live reps. It’s not that he doesn’t know the playbook or anything like that, but again, what would be the decision? But those last three games, the Bengals are set up so well. Again, going back to you got the Miami Dolphins, you got Arizona Cardinals. The last game of the season, you are playing the Browns at home again. and their defense showed to be tough. But going back to they have Flaco, you know, he could have some inside information. You never know those types of things. It’s not to say that that makes a whole world of a difference. Who knows? But sometimes those little details do matter. So that’s going to be interesting to see when it comes to last three games. What kind of record are the Bengals going to be looking at? Where are they going to be at in the playoff chase? Are they going to be still behind chasing teams with three games remaining against as of this moment again winnable games in my opinion especially considering you have two games at home that if Flaco’s playing hot do you stay with him or do you go back to Burrow coming back from the injury a lot of question marks again it’s still far out we have that bridge to cross when we get to it but something to think about that’s a hard decision because Flaco has just really been jelling with this team and it’s a small sample size. Gets traded, gets into practice the next day. It was a Tuesday. He was traded, practices on Wednesday, plays against the Packers, and then plays on a short week against the Steelers. So, a lot of question marks there because again, Flaco so far, it’s a small sample size. He is at about 100 quarterback rating in those two games. has not thrown an interception yet. Well over 500 yards, five touchdowns, and again, he’s been clicking. He’s had the fast release. That’s what this offensive line has really thrived at is having a quarterback that has been getting the ball out. There was a numerous plays 25 to 30 or so, that Flaco was throwing it about 2.5 seconds. So, that would be my other concern with Burrow coming back. As much as I think it’s great to see a quarterback like his skill set that is able to make big plays happen when they weren’t there, able to go evade that pressure at times. Is that really a a bad thing though? Is it better to go with a guy like Flaco that can get the ball out quicker? I still think if you got Burrow back and he is playing well, you got to go with Burrow. I think that’s how I personally feel about it. Again, when the time comes, that will be an interesting question that Zack Taylor’s going to have to address. It all comes down to again, is Flaco going to keep playing? Because on the flip side, Flacco has also shown that he has thrown a lot of interceptions in games, kind of self-implodes, at least in recent seasons, he’s had that. But he’s also, again, proven to be a winner. He’s he’s won a Super Bowl. he has done things that you ask of him as a as one of those veteran quarterbacks. It’s a lot of questions, but we are getting kind of a little more of a picture of a possible Burough return in December. Those three games, keep an eye on them because they are going to be crucial, especially in this playoff chase. They are one and a half games back behind the Steelers and right right in it. They are in the thick of this race. So, remains to be seen, but let’s see what exact week again. Second or third to last game of the season. Is that when he’s going to return? Whatever. Let’s hope that Burrow will be back and ready to go. We want to hear from you guys. What do you think about this news of Burrow’s return? Would be a good post Christmas gift to get him back๐
If the Bengals can be 7-7 with 3 games to go then I like their playoff chances. But it's entirely possible too that KC, Buffalo, Denver and New England could all be wildcards, and I would not be surprised if Baltimore just went on a crazy run and finished 9-8. If the Bengals do make the playoffs it'll probably be as the #7 seed, but at least they would have made it.
๐ Double down by trading for Kyle Pitts
The Bengals go be 13 4
The Bengals go 13 4
Joey Brrs injury is his rt Toe , yes? worry about Each game.
Trade BURROW. โ๏ธ ๐ซธ STOP TURNING A BLIND EYE ๐ TO FACTS. BURROW IS TOO FRAGILE, FIRST, THE KNEE, THEN THE SHOULDER,, THEN THE FINGERS, THEN THE WRISTS. THEN THE CALF,,NOW THE BIG TOE..FLACO IS HARDENDED ๐ ๐ฏ ๐ ๐ฏ TIGER TOUGH.AND WHAT YOU WILL GET FOR BURROW, WILL MASSIVE IMPROVE THIS TEAM
Good stuff man, I didnโt know you were making content. My Issac boy came a long way from Nickelback songs in the civic and smash bros years ago.
I see it differently. If Flacco leads the team to a bunch of wins and in position to get a playoff spot, It wouldnt be smart to start Burrow and mess up all the momentum. Burrow is sure to be rusty and if he does manage to return in December, he is the No. 2 QB for the rest of this season. Flacco has led a team to a Superbowl and can do it again.
With this offense … Bengal can beat anybody . The key for Quaterback … You must throw the ball quick as you can . That what Flacco did . With the offenssive line not really good … Quarterback will get hurt easily if he' s too slow to throw the ball . Burrow get back that what everybody want it . But we also don' t want he get hurt … like he used to .
Careers have been ruined over turf toeโ Burrow needs to heal 100% for his longevity
This is a perfect situation for Joe Burrow! He finally has THEE consummate veteran QB to teach him HOW to become a professional along with him leading this team to a respectable record. Joe Flacco is the ultimate teacher for Burrow. Burrow can sit on the sideline & just absorb how the veteran maestro Flacco orchestrates drive after drive the calm, quick way, not the put-out-the-fire mentality that Burrow has yet to master. Burrow knows, along with everybody else, that his starting job is safe & he doesnโt have to hurry back.
Would we put an out of shape joe back in if he comes back to a team that's jaming with Flacco? I think you have to but it could come back to haunt us.
