    I read reports that Vladdy knew this was a special team when everyone showed up to spring training at 6am.

    Leafs can barely bother to show up to practice.

  11. [Masters] In explaining why Leafs held only an optional skate, Craig Berube says there’s guys banged up who had to stay off the ice anyway so it wouldn’t have been a full practice. Notes there’s games Friday and Saturday with an early start Saturday. Felt they would get more from a meeting.

  19. You ever hear any of the Jays players or coaches talk about how the optional practices or workouts are? Every single player is there, no questions asked, they all want to be there. You play and care for each other, good things will happen. Teamwork makes the dream work.

  22. Anyone else remember in the 21 playoffs, when the Leafs were playing Montreal, and the Leafs lost game 5 and game 6 in overtime? They had an optional skate the next day, and a couple of Leafs showed up. Montreal had an optional skate and every single member of the team showed up.

  23. I get the contrast between the BJs and the Leafs right now is crazy but c’mon guys. It’s the post season vs game 8 of the season. You need to stop refreshing the sub every few minutes and do something else. I truly can’t fathom getting this upset over practice. Optional practice.
