[Farabaugh] Rodgers on Jones’ tackle: “I text him, I say, Hey, man, I love your energy. I love everything you’re about. But also, I’m 41, okay? You can’t be out there tackling me likethat. But I love Brod.”

  1. I love Aaron’s energy on the field, if you need to be checked, he is going to check you. I think it makes everyone play with a bit more intensity. Pittsburgh finally has a leader in the backfield. Hope we can sign him another season if all goes well.

  2. Thats about as diplomatic a response as you can have. Dude continues to demonstrate nothing, but class.

  3. One of those incidents where you’re incredibly pissed in the moment but laughing about it the next day. Still really fucking stupid from Jones but at least Rodgers knows how to handle it.

  4. Which is exactly right. Brod has amazing energy and passion, just lets not kill the elderly QB. His job is to protect the QB and keep him upright, not just from opponents, but from also himself

  5. He was laughing about this in the interview, he also said he’s gonna get Broderick back so let’s keep an eye out for that lol

  6. Leadership can come off as harsh sometimes. The people who think AR is a dick are the same ones who never played sports growing up

  7. I stand by not liking Aaron, but he is a leader and it’s certainly something we’ve been lacking on offense since Ben left.

  8. Is it weird that I’m starting to feel a sense of camaraderie with the Steelers and their fans?

I’m so damn pleased Rodgers seems like he is happy and playing well, and I like that Steeler fans are coming around to him.

Also, for the record, I always loved Coach Cowher and the Bus. Not such a fan of that Roelthlisberger guy, however.

  9. It’s weird that I’ve been pretty much a big fan of everything Aaron has been saying/doing OFF the field this year and also he has seemed like a really great leader. Did not expect that.

  10. This is completely fair.

Honestly, even if he was 21 years old it’d be a stupid move for a 300 pound o line player to jump on top of the QB…
