2x Super Bowl champ Max Starks puts on his thinking cap to fix the Cardinals’ o-line issues #nfl
going forward um realizing that this offensive line is largely the principles the people that were here last year and the year before that a couple of them is well how do you improve offensive line play over the buy if you can okay hold on one second let’s I’m going to do this okay and then I’m going to do this and then I’m going to do this you want you want you want my O line thinking cap on apparently fan hat. This is great. Okay, Max, if you stood up, that fan hat wouldn’t even look that big on you to be honest. I know. Exactly. So, as I as I put on my Cardinals Oline thinking cap here. Yes. And feeling like the great kazoo as well in the process. I hope everybody sees this on YouTube. Yeah, this is going to be a good one. Um, I think the biggest thing I mean, you you do have an issue with health consistency and I just I think overall strength. I mean, one of the biggest things, you know, when you look at and and I and and I know we can excuse away the situational football at the end of the game with Jonah Williams, but Jonah Williams already came in with a deficit, short arms, right? Short arms and power. He’s not generating power. So, if you have short arms, you know, like Will Campbell for the New England Patriots rookie, you got to throw your arms. The little bit that you do have, you cannot allow a guy to get compressed in your body. And that’s why you saw after that first sack that he gave up, he threw his hands up in the air like in disbelief, it was like, “Yeah, you should have thrown your arms, right? Throw your hands and hit a guy.” And I think that’s where it comes down to a lack of power along with that because even when they were on assignment, you’re still getting whipped at the point of attack. And so that’s the other thing. And even in some of the run game situations, like memes were literally like a guy ducking his head like like like Froh Hole, right? early in the game. You can have a mental error in technique. Yeah, you can have a Yeah, in technique and it’s not necessarily communication. It’s like, yes, why didn’t I do that? And that’s what it that that’s what it felt like. I watched and then like I said and then not being in sync with your running backs when you’re at six to seven man protection. Listen, this cap is help is helping me really really well and is completely is completely distracting Wolf, too. It is. It’s so Who would have thought I was such a big cardinal? It’s not good. It’s not that hard to distract Wolf when you get close to one o’clock, Max. But yes, that I mean, he did just wolf down his lunch, right? I thought that was at the top of the hour. It just You’re driving me nuts, man. Oh dear.
