Why Rico Dowdle Made A HUGE Mistake Telling The Dallas Cowboys To Buckle Up!!

Well, well, well. Rico D. I was one of Rico D’s biggest advocates last season. I was screaming for the Cowboys to stop this madness of him and Ezekiel Elliott sharing the the snaps and and this running back by committee. It was a hot mess. And when the Cowboys finally did allow Rico D to start running, he ran. And I believe Rico D could have had some very big days for the Cowboys just like he did for the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. But nevertheless, it’s water under the bridge. The Cowboys decided not to bring Rico D back. Rico D went out there and got a job of course with the Carolina Panthers. But it’s pretty obvious that Rico D is a little bit bitter towards the Cowboys. and he said this, “But to do this right before y’all play Dallas, was this kind of like a message like y’all should have?” Oh, sure. They they got to buckle up. [Music] Rico Dattle. Rico Dattle. I’m going to let Bill Duke tell you. [Music] Rico D. Now you see something. Now you see now you up. You know that, don’t you? I No. I I thought No. So you I’m saying that you don’t No, you know that, don’t you? Rico Done messed up. Let’s talk Cowboys. We’re about to talk facts. I don’t think the Cowboys would have really paid that much attention to you, but now you brought this attention to yourself, Rico D. You do realize we now have Kenny Clark and Oso Diggizu in the middle. We’re not the same team that you were on when everybody was running on us. Yeah, Rico Dattle, you done messed up. But I want to give you your props first. I want to give Rico D’s props first because I really like Rico D. And and and all joking aside, I really believe that Rico D has got kind of a you know, he he’s kind of been overlooked. Rico D is a very good running back. I really I I was really kind of wondering like why didn’t the Cowboys bring him back? But when we start kind of looking at what Javvante Williams has been, I can kind of understand why the Cowboys have not brought him back. So this is what we’re going to do. We’re going to look at this article over on Carolina Panthers website about Rico D. We’ll watch the rest of what Rico D said. We’re going to listen to Brian Shottenheimimer and we’re going to listen to Jerry Jones response to Rico Dattle and then I’m going to give you my final analysis. So before we start just knocking down Rico D, I still want to give Rico Dow his props. He had a great game on Sunday. Check this out. Rico D had a monster game for the Carolina Panthers. [Applause] Yeah, we’re going to give him his props. I mean, he is the next cowboy. I mean, Rico D had a monster game. Let’s read what it says over here on uh CBS Sports about Rico D in that monster game. He couldn’t just let it be a monster game, though. He’s got to make sure he’s got to send the Cowboys a message. It says, “Filling in for an injured Chuba Hubard on Sunday, Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dout erupted for 234 total yards of a touchdown in a 2724 victory against the Miami Dolphins. Got to give him his prop. That is a monster game.” And it looks like for all intents and purposes, he he wasn’t even the starter in Carolina necessarily. And that’s why I say I still think he gets dealt a bad hand. This dude could be a starting running back for a team in this league. It says next week Donald faces his former team in the Dallas Cowboys and he said they can consider this consider his week five performance a warning. [Music] Okay. It says after going undrafted in 2020 signed with the Cowboys and spent the first five years of his career. In the last one, Dout rushed for 1,0779 yards and scored five total touchdowns. Dallas let walk in free agency where he signed a one-year deal with the Panthers. Now, as he gets to uh get set to meet his former team next weekend, said the Cowboys know what’s coming. Now, I’ll be honest with you, I was a little bit confused about this with the Dallas Cowboys. I was very confused that why did they let Rico D walk and you know they said that they thought that Rico D was going to get bigger offers and more money in free agency. That’s kind of what Jerry Jones and Steven Jones alluded to. You know, for what they wanted to bring him back for, they were saying that, you know, it would have been an insult. And in the grand scheme of things, man, if you think about it, the Cowboys have literally got the best deal in the NFL at running back. Javvante Williams because of Clayton Adams, Connor Riley, and uh Brian Shottenheimimer that that offensive line and the play of Dak Prescott, they have one of the top rushing attacks in football. Go given if you you know what happened to Dallas and you know, I’m not bringing you back. I mean, has there been any a chip on your shoulder about that and just wanting to prove that, hey, listen, I’m a thousand yard rusher. I can still do this. Um, yeah, I think um it’s always a chip on my shoulder just from the start of coming into the NFL, sitting behind those guys for years, um, going undrafted. Um, but yeah, so I’ve always played with a chip on my shoulder and you know, it’s just the nature of the business that I didn’t end back up in Dallas and um, I’m here now with a new team and um, I’m happy where I’m at. But to do this now, I’m going to be honest with you. I said it last year and I’m not changing what I said. I don’t care who it makes mad. Rico Doubt was better than Ezekiel Elliott last year. I don’t care nothing about Zeke not being washed or whatever the case may be. He was not better than Rico D. And the Cowboys made a mistake by not letting or announcing Rico D be the starting running back from the beginning. I mean, Rico D probably would have amassed easily,500 yards. This dude, Rico D, one of the first years he had been healthy, this dude was a monster. And here he is again. He’s having a breakout game. Had a breakout game for the Carolina Panthers. I hope it gets him more time, you know, more starting time, uh, you know, more snaps with the Carolina Panthers. But let’s listen to what the let’s listen to the rest of what he said. on that. But to do this right before y’all played Dallas, was this kind of like a message like y’all should have rece they got to buckle up. Uh I think they know for sure. Um I’ve been there 5 years. They didn’t keep me there for 5 years for no reason. I definitely say that. But looking forward to playing those guys next week. We’ll get to it. We’ll handle that when I get there. Yeah. Cowboys going to be ready for you. Rico D. The Dallas Cowboys are going to be ready for you. Rico Dattle. Now, had you just kept quiet, I still think the Cowboys would have been ready for you. But since you done said what you said, they’re not only going to be ready for you, they are going to be gunning for you. Listen to Brian Shotim. Very, very good weapons. You know, he’s got leged, he’s got Renfro. Uh, sounds like, you know, Ted McMillan’s playing great. And then, of course, you know, I think the main thing they want to do is run the football, whether it’s, you know, Hubard or Rico. And, uh, be good to see Rico this weekend. I know we’re going to have to buckle up, he said. So, yeah, [Music] they’re going to have your number, Rico D. The Cowboys going to have your number. Even Jerry Jones, he talked about Rico Dollar. Let’s check it out. Well, it shouldn’t be negative about Rico. Um, but I don’t think that you’d find anybody that doesn’t think Rico is a top back in the NFL. And I’ve always thought he really was a unique player. He’s very explosive player. Very, I use that word violent player. And uh we got really good uh production out of Rico, more than he had had because he had always battled injury. And uh he’s a good back, make no mistake about it. And uh he got a a big offer to go. U we felt that uh backs that were potentially available to us at the time he signed with Carolina, we thought we had a chance to uh uh get back. And of course we did in Williams, but we thought we had a chance to address that and we did. And um uh I don’t wish him well out here against us Sunday. But I will tell you this, I wish him well. He was always one of my favorite backs. Just gave us the truth on Rico D. The Cowboys opted for Javvante Williams. Let’s look at their pay and then I’m gonna show you why I believe the Cowboys the biggest difference between Rico D and Javvante Williams and why the Cowboys chose Javvante Williams over Rico D. Now when you look at the contracts of Javvante Williams and Rico Davante Williams contract is $3 million. But when you look at the guarantees, when you look at the total guaranteed and the fully guaranteed, Javvante Williams only has a $2 million fully guaranteed and uh total guaranteed. But then when you look over here at Rico D, who is right underneath him with $2.7 million, $2.75 million, his contract is fully guaranteed. $2.75 million fully guaranteed. Cowboys saved around $750,000, but I don’t think that’s the main reason the Cowboys went with Javvante Williams. One, I think that Brian Shottenheimer is a huge fan of Javvante Williams. And a lot of people, if you go back and look at what he was doing with Denver before he got hurt, man, Javvante Williams was absolutely balling. He’s a very violent runner. Let me show you the big difference I think that the Cowboys looked at between him and Rico Dout. Now, when you look over here at the top running backs in the league right now, the the the second best running back in the league or the third best running back in the league is Javvante Williams. Javvante Williams has been an absolute monster. And I don’t think anybody expected Javvante Williams to be where he is right now. 79 carries, five games played. I mean, he has been balling. And then, of course, when you go down to um Rico D, when you go down to Rico D, Rico D sits at about number 18. Now, when you kind of look at the yards and and I don’t want to look at the yards because Rico D hasn’t had as many snaps as Javvante Williams, 51 versus 79. So, you’re talking about a uh 28 snap swing. But when you look at the yards per carry, 5.7, they both are at about that range. But again, Rico D accumulated a lot of this in one game. He accumulated a lot of this in this one game he just had this past week. But I’m going to show you where I think the biggest difference is and why the Cowboys went with Javvante Williams rather than Rico D. And it’s this number right here. Javvante Williams in the red zone is lethal. Javvante Williams is lethal. He also has been breaking some pretty big runs. He is a guy. He’s a power guy. He’s a violent runner. Javvante Williams has five rushing I think it’s five rushing touchdowns. Rico D only has two touchdowns. That’s the issue. And even when you look at Rio Rico D last year, Rico Do had issues getting in the end zone. And I believe this is why the Cowboys chose Javante Williams over Rico D. But again, Rico D, bro, great game last week. I’ve always been an advocate of yours, boy. To say the Cowboys need to bugle up. You know you done messed up, don’t you? You know you done messed up.
