There was literally 0 evidence found that we had a bounty program and was just RG being a twat towards us per usual.
It is exhausting trying to have any football conversation or banter with an opposing fan base, because without fail, they bring up bounty gate Every. Single. Time.

  1. Hate to break this to you but every football program has bounties. We just dont talk about it.
Shit we had bounties in highschool.

At least they didnt bring up the church cover up bullshit.

  2. “Literally 0 evidence?”

C’mon man. I’m not sure you know what “0” or “literally” mean.

If you want to say lots of teams were running bounty programs, and the Saints were made an example of, I can understand that. But don’t try to say there wasn’t a bounty program when there very clearly was.

  3. He’ll also tell you the Saints front office didn’t help the Catholic Church and their Sex Abuse Scandal.

  4. Vikings fans are the worst. They legitimately believe the alleged bounties is why they lost that game and not brett Favre being classic brett favre and throwing across his body. Like nfl players did not have enough incentives to play hard during an NFC championship game. Still don’t understand their reasoning. They act as if we paid the refs to look the other way while our players stomped on Favre while he was down or something.

  5. I hear ya, but realize… just cuz u support a team doesnt mean you support everything they do. Just drop it brotha and let them think they are geniuses for pointing out something that happened 14 years ago, its not like as fans we agree with it 😂

  6. 0 evidence? Are we serious bro? There is literally audio of y’all’s defensive coordinator talking about hurting players. You can say that other teams in the league do bounties and the Saints were just made an example of but to say there is “0 evidence” is just flat out wrong.

  7. There’s an article out there where Favre said the Vikings had a bounty program the same year too.

  8. Reggie White had his “Smash For Cash” program while he was on the 1996 Packers team that went on to win the Super Bowl. The NFL came out and straight up said that players creating a money pool for big plays and big hits was perfectly fine as long as the money offered up wasn’t “egregious.” This, of course, was back in the 90s when the NFL still sold highlight tapes called “Bone Crunching Hits” and “NFLs Hardest Hitters.” We all remember ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown “JACKED UP!” segment that highlighted the biggest hits of the week. The fact is, mounting evidence was piling up that retired NFL players were suffering from severe brain injuries from CTE and the league didn’t want to pay out millions for these men that had scrambled their brains for years and needed a scapegoat to prove how important “player safety” was to the league. Let’s also not forget the infamous “Bounty Bowl” where Buddy Ryan’s Eagles team admitted to intentionally trying to injure Cowboys’ players for cash and the league did absolutely nothing. Let’s also not forget Vikings lineman Artis Hicks saying of the 2009 Vikings team “I had coaches start a pot and all the veterans put in an extra $100, $200, and if you hurt someone special, you get the money. There was a bottom line, and I think we all bought in: you’re there to win, and if taking out the other team’s best player helps you win, hey, it’s nothing personal. Just business.” Remember that no Saints player ever went on record claiming that the team intentionally injured opponents, but Artis Hicks did. About his Vikings team. So any time a Vikings crybaby tries to bring up 2009, just shove that in their face. Your own team admitted to intentionally trying to injure players for cash. Something that the Saints never did.
