Glad to see it. Maybe Burrow will finally play more under center.

  1. I hope Joe is humble enough to learn. I think he is. But he’s been big dawg his whole career. It can be difficult to change that point of view.

  2. Really can’t get better than a quality veteran who has seen it all.

Much better than a hungry younger player who craves a full time starting position but is taking the job because they’d otherwise be riding a bench.

Flacco is at that “I’m just out here having fun and don’t mind mentoring” journeyman phase. Best possible fit for us right now even if the wheels fall off in the end.

  3. I just want Burrow to throw the ball away more and not try to be a superhero on every play. There are times for heroics but we need #9 to stay healthy.

  4. Never too late to learn how to play under center — shout out to Flacco for mentoring Burrow where Andy Dalton refused.

  5. Our collective falling in love with Joe Flacco is fun. I have an advisor who is a Ravens fan, and I said “I think Flacco is my personal lord and savior,” and he just said “of course he is. He’s Flacco.”

  6. It’s common in hockey to pair your young star player/high draft prospect with a vet who’s at the sunset of his career, and is happy to just be wanted and chill with the young dude. Young dude gets a readily-available “big brother/father” figure who knows exactly what it’s like to be in his shoes but is old enough to have hindsight wisdom about it, and the vet gets an extra 2-3 years in the league with the boys without too much pressure. I’m surprised NFL teams don’t do this more often. Like sure hockey players are younger, but it’s a difference of 18-19 to 21-24, they’re all still young dumbasses when compared to the late 30s/early 40s vet.

  7. I would fucking love for us to keep Flacco on after this season as a consultant if he’s done playing. Pay him 1.5 million a year to be joe’s primary coach

  8. It felt like Flacco and Burrow had a good chemistry on the sideline during TNF, without reading too much into it they had a few exchanges. I still don’t know why Browning was sitting between them on the bench though.

  9. I think having Flacco is great, but I have to ask this.

We have a QB coach.  Should he be that mentor for Burrow?  What is he doing if not that?

  10. Flacco having immediate success should be eye opening for Burrow. Sometimes you need to just get the ball out and pickup 4 yards

  11. We really need to keep Flacco after this season, It’s been so long since we’ve had a veteran quarterback on the team. Even as a backup, he has so much knowledge to give.

  12. I’m happy that the media occasionally asks Pitcher a question or two so we can pretend like he does something

  13. I think browning will benefit by having him there too, if he’s ever called on again.
