FIL got this at a thrift store, does anyone know rhe story behind it

  1. Not terribly exciting. The Atlanta 400 club does a gala every year (can’t find news on the 2026 gala) called the Eddie Glennon Gameboree. They’ve done merch for it in the past although I can’t find anything from the most recent years. As for why it’s named after Eddie Glennon, Glennon was the area sales manager for the team when they moved to Atlanta and died shortly after. This seems to be about 31 years after he died so it seems fair to assume they named it after him in memoriam.

  2. Looks like the last gala they had at AFCS which was demolished later that year. I watched the demo live on TV.

  3. I’m actually on the board for the Atlanta 400 Club, so if anyone has any questions or is interested in the organization, I’d love to be a resource.

    I can tell you were are heavily planning our 2026 Gameboree (announcement about theme and guests coming soon!) and it is going to be a doozy!
