Minnesota Vikings News Dump (10.23.2025) | Donovan For Real, Need JETS, Will Darrisaw Play?

[Music] What’s going on, Jerome? Beautiful Thursday. Birds are chirping and stuff and it’s time for another Vikings news dump. So, tonight is an of nets. A Vikings head out to LA taking on the San Diego Superchargers playing in LA for whatever reason. It’s going to be good times. I love and respect Will Reard. I really hope he does not attempt five field goals tonight. You got to laugh or you’re going to cry. and the Vikings uh putting this out. Oo, looks cool. Looks avantgard. Vikings, Chargers, something in there. Yeah. And hopefully Justin Franken Jefferson has a major major game tonight because fantasy teams need it. That’s all. Also, big time thank you. All right. So, Rocco, Margaret both crushed it in the respective school fundraisers, their walk-athons. Uh all Venmo’s cash apps uh donated through October 25th going to their school fundraisers and Roco’s school ultimately came up just a little bit short of of their goal. Uh but Roco’s number one in his class uh number one uh in his grade as well. Margaret uh I believe well we’re still waiting on the numbers but I think she’s at least going to be top five pro probably more. And her school met their goal. I think they’re they’re bringing the planetarium to the school and they’re making the the principal sleep on the roof. keep them up there for a long time. Make this like the hangover for elementary school. I don’t know. But again, thank you very much, Jeromes. You guys are the absolute best and just crushing it. Pay it forward. It’s good times. Also good times. The Vikings landing out in California. California knows how to party. Jonathan Gernard, we need the three sack game thrice. Terrible band. Actually, pretty good band. Uh then you got the top right. Carson Wentz quarterback won for one more week. Uh, bottom. The bottom was the best because you got Byron Murphy Jr. as well as Harrison Smith. Also, you could tell which dude is from Arizona, which dude’s from Tennessee. Yeah. And Harrison and Well, I’m pretty sure that’s Harrison. It’s kind of tough to tell. Well, first off, so the guy’s wearing Sausines. So, I feel like Har only Harrison, Andrew Depala, you know, Gilly last year would be concerned about art support. So, it’s got to be Harrison, right? But, uh, Harrison and Byron Murphy Jr. literally did the meme. They They did the Tiger Woods John Dailyaly meme. It’s awesome, man. That also tonight, uh, the haters over at FO Network. So, I don’t know who G GPG is. It’s probably some AI. Actually, it might be. Yeah. Nick Shooken, not Stirred, and Bucky Brooks, our guy, the pride of UNCC. Hopefully, he’s going to help pay out pay the Bellich buyout. Uh, they’re invited to Korean barbecue. But MJD, Connie Fox, Colleen Wolf, uh, G. Gordon, Rank, he knows what’s up. Our guy Marcus the hell, man. Eric at home, and also Kevin Patrick coming at you. Now, the the Patra prediction obviously is a typo. Probably meant 24 to 19, but it would be an extremely Vikings thing to score 209 points and lose. Probably probably be via DQ or something like that. I know man. Also, uh, final Vikings Chargers injury report. So, for the Chargers, only backup running back Asan Haskins is out. A bunch of players are listed as questionable. Jumping Joe Walt, I believe, is going to start. He told the media, he’s going to start. He’s got a family flying in. He’s going to start. Right. That’s a huge upgrade at left tackle for uh the Chargers. And it’s going to be a challenge for Jonathan Grard. Bring it on. Uh Jamry Caldwell, the defensive lineman. Austin Deculus, who is filling in at left tackle. Our guy Troy Dye, linebacker Troy Dye, questionable. Uh John Molden, questionable. Uh uh they got Trey Pipkins, uh Pipkins, a third who’s been moonlighting at right tackle. He’s questionable. The pride of Sou Falls and the backup guard Jamie Solier. Um spoken class today. You know, backup guard, he’s questionable as well, but although he he did he was listed as full in their walkthrough on Wednesday. So I don’t know. Vikings wise, so the Vikings didn’t actually get any practice practice this week. They had a simulation on Monday. They had a walkthrough. They had two walkthroughs on Tuesday and one on Wednesday before flying out. Two out fullback CJ Ham who literally just got back. So that stinks. Hopefully his hand heals up and is going to be good to go. Uh then you got Andrew Van Ginkle with the neck. He was able to get some limited work in but still another week away. Hopefully after the mini buy uh week nine at Detroit, it could be a landing spot for Andrew Vaninkle. A couple questionable. So noteworthy one is Christian Darasaw. So he was listed as a DNP on Wednesday and he goes into the game with a questionable status. Now this is different than previous weeks because yes he would miss practice but he would be listed as a not injury related. It was just veteran rest but you know this one does make you raise an eyebrow. Darasaw Kevin Seafford ESPN who’s not Carl Gersment. What I’ve gleaned from a few sources Darasaw needed some treatment this week on the knee after playing 69 nice uh snaps versus the Eagles. He actually said as much in the locker room Tuesday. No huge concerns but also no guarantee he can make the quick turn on the short week TBD. And also this sort of plays into the remember the Browns game. It’s a couple weeks ago where Darasaw left the game because Kevin McConnell said that he hit the pitch count. There had been some some rumbles that Darasaw didn’t feel right with the knee and pulled himself from the game and then they put school left tackle, Walter Rouse at right tackle. worked out for the uh for the Vikings against the Browns. But maybe it’s a little bit concerning. I don’t know. Um but I I do know that if Christian Darasaw questionable and Brian O’Neal questionable, even though he returned and played the full game against the Eagles and was limited in Wednesday’s walkthrough, if uh they’re missing Darasaw and O’Neal, this is going to be Carson Wentz for the game. Hey. Yeah. Also, if Kevin Ocon knew that Daras and Wentz or Darasaw and O’Neal were questionable, maybe that le that’s leading to Okonnell continuing to drag his feet with JJ McCarthy where do you really want to toss him out there without Darasaw and O’Neal? I don’t know. I don’t know, man. And then also, you have, you know, McCarthy was limited all week, still questionable. He’s going to be the third emergency third quarterback. Uh also, uh Aon Jones uh still is in his 21-day return to practice window. list says limited Tuesday and Wednesday. Uh speculate that he could go uh on Thursday night. That’ll be a nice boost for the running and receiving game. It be it’ be good to see. Also good to see about damn time this team gets some good offensive line news. Uh 33rd team lowest pressure rates allowed by rookie offensive lineman week seven. Minimum P 15 pass pro snaps. Arante Ursery 1.9% for the Texans uh up against the Seahawks. Nice little pass rush. former Golden Gopher doing doing the damn thing. Diamond Jackson, it’s for real at 4.3%. Uh that that’s no that’s no joke. Uh against Jordan Davis and Jaylen Carter as well. Uh Jonas Aanaya, a former Arizona Wildcat doing the damn thing for the Dolphins. Kelvin Banks, thanks Jr. Uh the pride of Texas. Hook him. Uh looking good with the Saints. And they got Gray Zable, Jared Wilson, Will Campbell. So Gray Zable with the Seahawks. Uh Jared Wilson, former Georgia Georgia Bulldog, as well as Will Campbell, LSU, 5.6. So, it’s good times, man. And with Jackson, it’s good that Jackson’s back, right? And you know, the fact that he has fit in pretty swimmingly and, you know, overcame an injury, played through the injury in the Bengals game. It’s pretty impressive. Vikes fan page. Vikings rookie offensive lineman Diamond Jackson. stats so far per PFF. 228 offensive snaps, seven quarterback pressures allowed, one sack allowed, one penalty, one quarterback hit allowed. That’s it. We will certainly take that. Hey, Don Jackson, you’re really good. You know who sucks? Blake Brle, I’m right here, man. He’s still on the team. Oh. Oh, my bad. Speaking of Brle, TBD, who’s going to start at center? Uh, there was an announcement or more clarity. Kevin Cod did say that both of them are going to work with the first team during walkthroughs this week and they’re going to try and get the best five out there. I think it’s a clear sign that Jurgens’s going to start because Jurgens was originally the backup center. Does that mean that O’Neal might not go? I don’t know. I don’t know, man. Just put put someone out there be good. Yeah. And also, I feel like Brandle’s errant snap, not not so much the the the fake holding which cost the touchdown, but the errant snap and the quick pressure that led to the pick six. Uh maybe that factors in. Yeah. And also, you hate to look ahead, but the Vikings, you know, could and should be buyers at the trade deadline once they get a win tonight and also a win uh next week in Detroit. Uh, and Tariq Woolen, the pride of UTSA, super size, 6’4, super physical, tough, physical freak quarterback would fit pretty nice, pretty nice uh with Brian Flores and company on defense because, you know, Isaiah Rogers, you know, despite that whatever game against the Eagles, he’ll be fine. uh Murf working things uh in the inside outside Auda as your cornerback three and I feel like if Auda just focused on special teams more and you brought in Reek Woolen so Woolen Rogers Murf feel feel pretty okay about that also this really breaks me up in terms of a a a tall long physical corner that we’re looking for the wrist defense that’s what Kyrie is supposed to be Yeah. Uh but so yeah, ESPN put this together. Tariq Woolen, Seahawks, the buzz. Multiple league execs have Woolen earmarked as a strong trade candidate leading into the deadline. They’ve been waiting to move him for a while. One executive said he doesn’t fit what Mike McDonald wants to do. Woolen will be best served going to a team that can use his man coverage traits. One potential hurdle to a deal. Seattle’s other starting corner Deon Witherspoon has had a difficult time staying healthy this season. The tape. Fourth year pro with a 6’4 frame and elite speed. Willen has 11 interceptions and 30 pass breakups in his career. If a player like Tariq will fit your scheme, adjust your scheme. And that’s what the Vikings would do. The Vikings have played a lot of zone this year. Uh but if Quasy got him, Flores obviously would adjust things. Uh inconsistent tackling and lapses and eye discipline have prevented him from reaching a ceiling, but Woolen has the physical traits to help a defense majoring in man coverage. Also, since he is in year four, a former fifth round pick out of UTSA go road runners. uh if the Vikings wouldn’t decide not to resign him, uh he would count towards a compic formula for 2027. So uh and uh predicted chance again trade 50%. I think that’s fair. Uh and also even if the Vikings didn’t need him, just blocking him from the Lions and the Falcons and the Eagles and the Bucks, uh could be kind of good. Could be kind of good, but we’ll see. Also, we will see beautiness uh across the the sidelines. You got the Chargers wearing the Navy Navy Navy throwback uniforms. I love they put the number on the helmet. It’s looking good, right? Uh and it’s a shame that we have to beat the piss out of them and they have to lose 38 to6 in those uniforms. Uh Vikings will be rocking the uh purple, white, white uniforms and Vikings uniform tracker. Uh for Thursday Night Football, the first time my knowledge this has been this this has been worn backto back road game. So, the Vikings did wear this combination against the Browns. Uh, worked out good in the end. So, hopefully it’s going to be good to go. And also, Justin Frian Jefferson, we need you tonight. Like, honestly, it feels like, okay, legacy game for Jamar Chase. AJ Brown put up a lot of crooked numbers against the Vikings. It just feels like Jefferson goes off tonight. I need it. I need it. But that’s it. That’s at Vikings Thursday news dump. Skull Vikes by a thousand tonight, please. We need it. Uh you keep it tuned here. We’ll do the halftime postgame winners and loseers per usual. Uh you guys are the absolute best. Thank you very much for coming along on this journey and good luck tonight. That’s right. Skull production value.

  1. I do not see the vikings, harrison are u kidding me!!! Where the hell was he in the Pholly game effing no where! He is to afraid to tackle so he covered the non receivers of Philly! I want to say I do not see us winning any more games, and JJ McCarthy is not the answer, he will get hurt again I guarantee it! We are done!

  2. Yeah San Big frekken Diego could not fund sport arenas as a huge city they lost sport to la.. Love to see harbaugh give JJ a Fatherly hug.. The o line was letting too much heat fall on the QBs to risk JJ like Ponder was.

  3. Woolen could be an upgrade, although (a) I don't think that Okudah has had a bad season..he doesn't seem to be a liability, and (b) are there signs that Woolen may not have the 'football intelligence' to slide into Flores' scheme & make an impact right away?
The plus side is that the Vikes would get an extended audition from Woolen before next year, and if he does pan out, he could be an important contributor for years to come (..if the Vikes can afford his next contract..).
Excellent point re blocking other teams from getting Woolen! But, what would it cost the Vikes to get Woolen, especially if other teams are bidding for him? Yes Kwesi A-M has a lot of picks to trade, and he could, potentially, throw in a talented depth player (e.g.Pace Jr.?..), but are there other positions that need an upgrade more than CB?(e.g. iDL and Centre?)

  4. Andy, remember when you were screaming about how Darrisaw should be out in the field all game a couple of weeks ago? Well, some of us knew he wasn't 100% and that's why the team were being careful with him. We don't want to lose him again for the rest of the season.

  5. It’s December 21st, Vikings take on the giants to cling on to playoff hopes. It’s a crisp 25 degrees. Vikings fans are excited to see a fully healthy Vikings team for the first time. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‘

  6. Thrice is an alright band, Artist in the Ambulance is a banger. Unfortunately the Vikings need some of these artists to get these guys healthy, cmon boys heal up!
