“Everything in front of us.” | Jaguars Team Meeting at Bye Week | Jacksonville Jaguars

guys. We got beat. It’s called spade to spade. We got beat. We got our coach and we got beat. That’s the reality. So, in order for us to guys not be in those moments, man, we got to coach better early on, execute earlier, right? We came out and it was bang bang bang three and out either way and then def you know they go down and have some good drives and we get behind and that’s a hard recipe to come from behind guys against anybody also a good team that we just played. So for us though, for us, we’ve got to go look and evaluate over this buy at how are we going to go improve to get this early in the games, guys, fixed? Cuz right now, the last two week we’re getting down early, whatever it is, coaching, execution, fundamentals, whatever that is early on, guys, we’re getting ourselves behind. And now we got to go and overcome. We got Kansas City. We overcame. We did that. But man, that’s that’s hard to do each and every week, man. Right. So to stay here and we’re a being ahead is a lot easier to live as we know. All right. But that takes execution, detail, fundamentals, coaching starts right here, guys. I’m not pointing the finger at anybody else in this room. So starts here. How do we go and get better over this buy guys and go improve ourselves going into this thing guys to go change the narrative these last two weeks. So I love you guys. Um that was obviously very frustrating day and I feel that. So u not good enough for any of us. That’s not our standard. Uh didn’t play well enough. Didn’t coach well enough. That’s the reality guys. four and three, played some damn good teams. We have also in the last two specifically beaten ourselves before the opponent can do a single thing to us guys. Beaten ourselves. And so that is discipline, detail, and mindset. That’s not a punishment. That’s an edge. That’s this league. Everybody at some point’s gonna play really hard and really tough and really violent and physical the way we did, guys. That’s really hard to sustain for 17 weeks. So, what has to occur? What needs to get better? The detail. And so I think maybe a couple weeks ago when I said everything needs to keep elevating. We there’s a level we need to get to that we’re not at yet. I think maybe some guys mistaken that for effort or strain or man like he’s asking me to play harder. How am I even going to play harder? How’s that even something he’s asking for? That’s not what I was asking for guys. was asking for in practice, in the meetings, in the job crews when we take the hitting off in the pads, in the violence, what needs to go up? Technique. What else? Yes. Detail. Communication starts with us as coaches to put you guys in a position to be successful to lead to communicate the message each week and to call plays to help you put you in position to be successful. All right. Right here. Fourth and seven the other night. Fourth and seven. Kind of a fourth and seven from the 11. So, this is a dog play call. There’s nowhere really to go with this football. Okay, we do a good job protecting it. Where the ball would need to come out on time and in rhythm, it doesn’t. Okay, there’s a scramble opportunity on fourth down. Trevor and I just talked about, but guys, this is not my best by any means. This is not it’s not putting you guys in your best position to succeed on fourth and seven. I got to pick up the corner instead of hind back and forth. There’s no question. I appreciate you saying that, dude. I know Trevor thought that as well. There’s some scramops. I appreciate you saying that, Quinn. But I got to be better in this situation regardless. It’s my job. That’s my job. I’m going to ask you to do yours. I got to do mine. But we got to own this, man. Because guys, what you’re about to see, that’s us at our best right here coming up. The best version of us. We talk about having a growth mindset. Understand guys, this is part of growth right here, right now, seven weeks in with everything in front of us. Guys, you go all the way back and watch what we do. And when we play at our best, one snap at a time, they run it. This is Travis ETA picking his way. He’s got some room. 20 into the open field. 30 35 40 45 50 into the Panther territory. 40 35 along the left sideline. He’s going to attack it at the 20 yd line. An explosive run, guys. We don’t even truly block this thing. Perfect. Seven’s in a good position. We get a great push and strain from our double team on. Gets the ball back deep. Great job cutting it out. Find a zone. Make somebody miss. And look at this, man. I know it’s game one. Watch this. Look at all this, guys. All this stuff. All the effort, all the strength. You guys doing this, making plays. Brownie scrambles to the right. fires off balance and that ball is going to be picked off by Dwey. Andrew Wingard picked it off, fell to the ground, got up and made like a running back to the 30 yd line of the Cincinnati Bengals. Look at the chaos here. Chaos and then let him do it. Instinctive. Instinctive. Trusting Keith, trusting himself, trusting to go make a play. And he does. Nothing crazy outside of this world. It’s not going to take any different talent, guys. That’s not how this works. Fires middle of the field. That was caught. 35 30 25 20 Brian Thomas Jr. He hung on to that one. And they got to have your moments. Four minute. Two. Go. Two minute. Go win the game. Zero points. Get on the run check to go win the game. To go win the game. And they just put the ice on it here. The K ice on the top here. Look at this. He gets hit as he let it go. The ball’s floating up there. The ball is picked off. The Jags have picked it off. Strength, finish, effort, Josh. Big time play, Antonio. You know, you can’t tell me this doesn’t mean something to you. Unbelievable. Great effort. Great job. Seals the game. Huge win. and builds it at the 15 yd line. Made a man miss 25 yd line 30 yd line. That’s good to cover. 50 40 30 20 15 10 5 touchdown Parker Washington just brought it all the way back and the Jags have extended the lead. But we remember seeing this, seeing these guys whooping ass on the double teams, staying a hat on a hat and letting Parker go do his thing. But it takes all 11. All you guys are involved in this from the preparation, the walk through, the practice, and then going and executing it in the game. That’s you guys. 52 y from the right hash. Cook puts it down. Little kicks it up. The 52 yd field goal is good. And the Jaguars have taken the lead. 24-21 with 808 to play in the game. And again, guys, got absolutely zero chance. We don’t have confidence in this guy. Zero chance and he 52. Big time kick. Is the definition of a big leg. That thing went through the upright. Big time kicks and big time moments. Dropping his lome fires middle of the middle intercepted. The ball is picked off. Are you kidding me? Deon Lloyd bringing it back again. Oh, the left sideline. 50 45 30 20 10 5 touchdown. Touchdown. Touchdown. Kevin Lloyd with the length of the field. Yet another interception. Jacksonville has taken the lead. How good is that? Everybody was seen this play, but this play, like so many of these others, guys, is who we are. It’s a It’s You made an unbelievable play here, De. Unbelievable play you made so many this year so far, bro. But so much of this play is the identity of our football team right here. Look at this whole crew. The whole thing guys, everybody coming back from here, the identity of our team is right here in this place. Right here, guys. It’s all right in front of us, man. Everything we want, everything we talked about doing and wanted to do is all right in front of us. I can’t be more excited, guys. Yeah. Has it been our best last two weeks? Absolutely not. No. But man, isn’t that some of the control in trouble? Shouldn’t that be the exciting part about it? It’s not like we over here getting our kicked in. We can control everything. Every single aspect of what we do moving forward, we can control. Get away. Get away from it. Do what you got to do individually to reset, recalibrate, and let’s come back on Monday, guys, with a renewed understanding, juice. But nothing, nothing still changing, guys. Right? It’s right here in this room. All the answers and solutions are right here for us to just keep going and take the next step. But the details matter, man. They do. And it starts here. Us as coaches need to do it, coach it better, but we got to go do it better as well on the games. We all good on that, guys? Understand? Sure. Let’s go. Jags on three. One, two, three.

  1. Great coach it’s tough picking up the pieces from another GM and head coaches that didn’t care being 4-3 is actually amazing keep your heads up boys ! DUUUVVVVALLLLLLL

  2. I love these videos even when we lose. Seeing how coach Coen is still motivating and taking responsibility is a bright spot in after a horrible game. Never saw that with Peterson.

  3. Massive, massive props to the Jags and the media team for putting this out there. Not many teams would be willing to do that after tough losses. But seeing this is doing wonders for my confidence in them bouncing back.

  4. Listen to the coach team. Stay positive and clear your mind from bad thoughts and movies you playing in your head. We are going to win the championship this year.
