The Cuts keep the play alive and a little backhand pass. Person with the shot. Lindren, who catches with the right, can’t catch up to this one as Alex Ovuchkin had a clean look there. Now the other way, it’s Bruss coming in. Jake de Bruss shoots and Lingering got a piece of that to bounce it wide off the glove. Back comes Stro as it opens up a little bit. Dylan Stro dishes off and Demco makes a save on that shot by Anthony Boilier. Sort of ahead. Here’s a shot by Sandine as he jumped up in the rush and Demco able to get a piece of that and steer it over the glass for a whistle. Hughes gets it at the left point. Meyers with room. There’s a minute 37 remaining in the minor penalty to Dylan Stro for hooking. The Conucks are one for one on the power play. This is their second. I mentioned earlier Leas Patterson who has the puck had the second assist on the Sherwood goal. But clearly I had to watch more closely because it was this man Quinn Hughes who got it. He puts one to the stick of Garland who tipped it on goal. Stopped by Lingard. Puck thrown across. Picked up by Martin Farervari. Puts one in front. Use his feet and then Bluger is going to pounce. Left foot delivery to Teddy Bluger who goes low blocker now. Sort of takes a pass from Leonard but coming back to check him from behind. Risky for Sherwood up to center. Demco a save in tight as he denied Ryan Leonard. What a wonderful stop initially by Demco with the right pad but just couldn’t track that next one. Here’s the pass from Wilson. The defenseman who snuck down glove side and stayed there. Just sneaks by. That pass through defenseman Mancini and then he ran into a referee right in the way and the puck turned over. Povill to the net. Stopped by Demco. Rebound. Deco coming to his left and it’ll make the save off Sandine as the Caps had a couple of cracks from in tight. Caps trailing by two. Stro wrist shot missed the net. Puck ricochets to Pro at the left point. 220 to go. Carlson shoots. Deflected high and wide. Stro gets the puck. Carlson one timer scores. 214 to go and John Carlson gets Washington within one. Back to your shooter. This was the initial offering and then it’s going to get back to Carlson again. The one-time was in front of the net waving at it. Demco just missed it with the glove. Onegoal game now the left point. Shik wrist one towards the goal. Blocked by Tyler Myers. 5 seconds left. Meers trying to eat the puck along the boards. Protest to the blue line. Shikin towards the goal. Dip blow right pass save and time expires.
