Post-Game | Ryan Huska – 22.10.25

You’re not disappointed with the effort and the way they played. Second, third period. I would say that I I thought the it would have been a different game if Dustin wasn’t the way he was in the first period tonight. He made some excellent saves for us at that point. Mhm. Still discouraging to to to not get rewarded. I’m not going to say discouraging. Of course, you we need to get points. I mean, the two points is what you’re looking for. Um we can’t rely on our fourth line to score goals. At the end of the day, we have to have players step up to score. So, you can go to the net all you want, but you have to find a way to put it in the net. That’s the job of a lot of people on this team and and they have to come to the rank knowing they’re capable of doing that consistently, which they are. They have to just demand a little bit more in that area. Do you guard against discouragement? Um, you get up tomorrow and you retool and go again. Um, you there’s always things you take from a game, good and bad. um we will go over both with the players tomorrow and then it’s make sure we’re getting ready for the Winnipeg game and that’s what it’s about. So you you move on fairly quickly and um we get ready for the next one. That’s how you you avoid it. Are you seeing signs from the power play that it’s making progress toward better results for you guys? I thought it was much better leading up to this game than it was tonight. Um you know, we flipped a few guys around on that one power play that looked really disorganized. Then we went back to the units after that and I thought they were much better with the attempts they had in that situation. Um, they are getting chances to score. I would like to see them shoot the puck more than what they do and I’d like to see the the puck pace on it move quite a bit quicker than what it is. When it comes to the goals, like I feel like it’s getting repetitive asking you about it and I apologize for that, but there were so many times when the puck was in the crease and it just like just didn’t seem to go in. Um, like is there what can be done about that? you make it go in. So, you have to go there harder. Um, at the end of the day, um, when you get yourself into practice situations, you bear down every chance you get. You make it very competitive with your goalender. So, when you come into the game the next day, um, you’re not going to be denied. And sometimes that means you have to go to the net and one’s going to go in off you. But in order for it to go off you, you have to be at the net consistently. So, it’s just a matter of getting there and staying. Um, with the shot volume that we’ve seen over the last little bit, we’re doing a better job getting more pucks to the net. Now, it’s about being hungrier in front. So, a goalender doesn’t get a chance to make a clean save. You mentioned shot volume and and quantity. You had the higher quantity. I felt like maybe they had the higher quality. Is is quality that that part you also have to now work on? Um, no. For us, we have to we have to be committed to going to the net harder right now. So, there there’s a very fine line. Um, in my opinion, if if you’re staying and making some of the seam passes that you saw from Montreal on the offensive zone today, um, when you’re not scoring goals, you tend to be very perimeter. So, we have to get more more of a consistent effort of getting pucks there and getting hungrier around the net front before you can move on to the other stuff. Do you guys have to give any sort of approval or sign off to start with the lights being dimmed like that? Uh Trevor asked both benches like if we were okay with it. Marty was okay with it. Our I asked our couple of the players I was standing beside and they were okay with it too. So they just No. Oh, I know. It’s taken a while to get them back on. [Music] [Music]

  1. Do. Not. Start. Winning.

Everyone in this city has been begging for years for a tank job rebuild. Just keep on playing the way you are. The Dome will always be packed so ownership is not getting poorer.

  2. Lots of hate for this guy, but he's been given an impossible task. This team is simply not equipped to win against competitors. On any other team Naz is a 2c, Hube is on the second or even third line, Farabee is a third or fourth liner. That's our first line. This 100% falls on management and particularly the owner for refusing to see the writing on the wall 3 seasons back. Should have been acquiring elite talent in the draft the last 2-3 years, now it's being forced upon the team and not even the most air tight system in the world could save them. But just wait, they'll bag some wins in November against the weaker teams and suddenly they'll be pushing for the playoffs again, and all of this will be for nothing. Hope they do the right thing.

  3. Anyways, honestly, what a game tonight. Wolfie is amazingggg, Klapka got a great goal (I jumped outta my seat!! 🙌), and the battle was THERE. Poor Kads and Corny are really having trouble keeping that puck on their sticks, though lol
Can't wait for the next game ❤❤❤ any night I get to spend watching my Flames is a good night for me. I believe in you guys!! GO FLAMES GO 🔥

  4. I can’t believe that Huska never even put Klapkas line on the ice near the end of the game or in overtime. They were the only line that was producing. What was Coronado doing out there —he was losing the puck almost every time he touched it.

  5. Sounds like the same answers after each game. Where’s the accountability from the overpaid bums like Huberdeau etc etc. And giving Coranoto a big deal like that is insane. He was just in the AHL for most of the season last year.

  6. Buddy’s system doesn’t work. U can’t tell me that the team being unable to produce offense for 3 years under him his not on his shit system. Huska sucks ass, benching parekh who’s the only one trying to do anything creative offensively. Fire his bald ass into the moon

  7. Power play hasn’t improved, As a coach you need to be frustrated, you need to cement what’s going wrong into your players heads and if they cannot deliver you drop them down, Bring in gridin instead of kirkland and play the fricken kids

  8. i’m so tired of this team and definitely tired of this coach, experimenting lines every game, not pairing parekh with a half decent defensive defensman like common, your ruining these guys potential to be their best

  9. these d man just fire pucks with no traffic, hanley and bean need to step up there game or should be scratched, what do you expect when our d man don’t look up or find slots to get it in. this teams a joke im so tired of being a flames fan

  10. just no improvement over 6 games husks. play off hockey doesn’t seem to be on your mind anymore, stop experimenting lines and stick to what we had last year. and fucken sign a better defensmen. trade coleman and anderson for rasmus dahlin

  11. This guy is a junior coach.Come on.. the players aren't playing for him.. Obviously his system does not work. He doesn't have a good core to work with..

  12. press is asking and he is answering about lights…? are you kidding me…?
team is in the hole and that's a topic of the post-game?
worst unqualified coach ever – way to go, Conroy – extend for two more years today
