Aaron Rodgers’ demeanor was ‘off’ in Steelers’ loss to Bengals | Pro Football Talk | NFL on NBC

Rogers, it reminded me, and I don’t know how much of a Seinfeld afficionado you are. There was an episode where George Castanza was working for the Yankees and he figured out that people will think you’re busy if you’re pissed off all the time. And Rogers just seemed pissed off all the time last night. He seemed pissed off the whole game. Pissed off. He You could see him. What the hell are you doing? after Jaylen Warren flipped the ball back to him instead of I’m gonna make chicken salad out of this because it’s not like Jaylen Warren went rogue and decided I’m gonna throw the ball back to Aaron Rogers for an unscripted flea flicker. He clearly thought that was the play and to have that come out after the game that Rogers and Tomlin aren’t on the same page. Well, it’s two to one right now. Jaylen Warren and and Mike Tomlin said it’s a flea flicker. Rogers said it isn’t. So, I don’t know. And it’s you can’t say Rogers was off last night cuz he threw four touchdown passes and he cranked up a Hail Mary at the end. Again, put a pin in that one. But wow, something something was was off for him last night in his demeanor, in his just overall vibe. He was irritated the whole night. And I don’t know, maybe he just sensed it when they walked out and there weren’t many Steelers fans there. It was all those white jerseys in that environment. It was loud. It was full. Like these people didn’t stay home. This team sucks. Like I don’t know. Maybe they were rattled by that. And kudos to the Bengals fans for showing up on a Thursday night and filling that place and making it loud and Steelers obviously operating in the silent count. It’s funny to watch what teams do in the silent count because there’s a lot of this that goes on with the the guards and I feel like it’s a false start that never gets called. Last night it was the right guard for the Steelers like he’s completely turned around watching Aaron Rogers before he turns back and they snap the ball. It and it was clear that they were dealing with noise and it was clear that Rogers was dealing with being pissed off the whole night. He seemed pissed off the entire night. Yeah. No, there’s no question. He was he he was agitated. There was just agitation. I don’t know why uh throughout the game. Maybe he felt like the offense wasn’t precise enough. Like even some of the mistakes that they made, they were able to overcome. You know, one early in the game, uh there was a dropped pass from Hayward and they said, “Oh, that’s going to come back to bite him.” It didn’t. Uh they got a touchdown from Jon Smith on that same drive. Then he had the interception where I think he believes it was a miscommunication. He was mad at this too. He was mad at this. We got tackled. It’s like what the hell is this guy doing? He’s tackling the 41year-old quarterback. He should have been mad at that. He said do you understand? I Hey, I’m older. I’m older than Flaco. Don’t tackle me after a big play. So he was upset about that one. Hi, it’s Mike Florio. Thanks for watching PFT on YouTube.

  1. My dream would be for Rodgers to out tomlin.the fans know what a hypocrite Tomlin is.i hope Rodgers blows up on Tomlin. Tomlin brought Rodgers two picks up in his presser.
