As a fan base we have been waiting for XL to have that one game where he breaks out and gains confidence. We finally saw that against the Jets.

  1. Last week was the kind of game you want to see from a first round WR. He was dependable, efficient with his routes, and solid in his blocking.

  2. My only reservation is that he still did a lot of body catches. I believe he improved but I imagine it is a hard habit to break when it’s game speed and adrenaline is going. But it just takes time and reps.

  3. I hate to be a hater but he still didn’t really pass the eye test for me. Hope I’m wrong

  4. I dont see it. Just one game so far. He catches like a freshman in college. Im not saying he needs to Odel Beckham every catch but you have to reach away from your body.

  5. Has that big catch from Andy too. Awesome game from XL. I’m not worried about him anymore, and it’s not only bc of this game

  6. i have rewound the touchdown clip a dozen times trying to figure out what was supposed to be going on during that play.

obviously once it breaks down, legette does the right thing, but what on earth was that route he was originally running? i’m no football genius, but i’m just befuddled about where in that route it would have been possible for him to get the ball if that pocket was clean.

it looked like each of the offensive lineman was running an entirely different play and i am really struggling to make heads or tails of what any of that was actually SUPPOSED to look like.

  7. Its technically the best performance we’ve seen from a WR this year. Lets hope he builds on it.

  8. Ill be honest I still didnt like what I saw. Still relies on body catches way more than you’d like from a WR drafted as high as him. If he is able to body catch hes been fine its when he needs to snag balls with only hands that hes struggled.
