Let’s be honest, what will actually happen is the League will be less favourable to the Leafs to avoid the appearance of favouritism.

He started there. Went to the Leafs and failed . The Leafs will lose until he is dead. Love nepotism.
Say what you want about Shanahan, I wish we had another guy like that leading this team. Was so refreshing to have someone in charge that valued the long term impact of every decision, instead of just planning for the current moment. Keith Pelley doesn’t understand hockey. We as an organization deserve better than him.

Maybe the Florida ride is over and the Toronto show begins at NHL
unpopular opinion while I think he was a bad president for trusting an inexperienced Dubas and then displaying a stubborn unwillingness to move on from the core. I also like him as an individual seemed like he really cared deeply for the leafs success and I appreciated what he did for legends row and honouring the past.
So he’s going back to his old job.
Remember he used to do Parros job and he was equally as bad at that as Georgie.
Seriously wtf do NHL players do that let’s them waltz into front office positions? Shanahan was a generational power forward, was playing until 09/10 iirc, then he just GETS the TML president position ?? Did he get a business/commerce degree in his spare time ??
