Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors | Full OT Game Highlights πŸ“Ί

[Applause] Four made baskets by four different players for the Warriors. Joic finishing through a little contact. Hurry and Joic in the pick and roll. Hurry driving and finishes and Joic gets. But good things from Kaminga already, Dave. That ability to go keep that offensive rebound alive, just create plays. He had nine boards the other night as Joic scores. Poked out to Butler. Murray’s back defensively though. And Curry tried to roll behind the back pass and it hit the back of his leg. Nobody picks up Murray, but he gives it up anyway. And Brown drains a three. Nine straight for the Nuggets. Great response. Just absolutely great response. Settled beautifully into the game. Brown, one of the most dangerous transition players in the league a season ago. 40% three-point shooter last year. made 89 threes. You’re right. He’s terrific in transition. Can finish at the basket as well. Has hit the open three. Green drives and stolen by Murray. Nice. No look by Johnson to Joic. His first couple of shot opportunities, but nice little shovel pass inside. Great response from the Nuggets. This is a group that dating back to last year, that number that you saw coming into this segment, that 27-8 record when the Big Three play over an 82 game season, that is the equivalent of a 63- win team, a mark that only Cleveland and Oklahoma City reached last year. Dave, well, that confidence soared after the Jimmy Butler trade. The swagger was back here at Golden State. Well, the confidence, the wins, and the performance on both ends as you see Flamingo go one-on-one and get a nice little mid post off the window. I mean, they were the best defensive team after he joined. They created a ton of turnovers, could play off of that, and Jimmy just provides the perfect counterbalance to the improvisation and chaos, as Steve Kurt likes to call what he and Draymond do together. Now, Jamal Murray starting to catch fire. Both he and Jokic are three for three from the floor. And the mid-range jumper is Buddy Heel. Normally, you’re seeing the deep ball, but Heel hitting the baseline 15-footer. Year [Applause] two here in San Francisco for Buddy Heel. Played in every game last year. Two years ago played in 84 games as Brown gets to the rim and slams it. Once Gary Payeyton is on his back that he stays there. Just incredible. And an open three for Joic off the back rim. Rebounded by Hardaway. Jim Hardaway Jr. new member of the Nuggets as Gordon swishes home a three. And the swap by Gford. Jeff step three. Gordon good. Aaron Gordon with his second three. Gordon has really improved his three-point shooting. 44% last year. No basket. Now they’re going to say count it. They’re going to count the basket. There was a whistle. [Applause] They’re saying now just a made basket. I guess inadvertent whistle. Little zone here from Denver. something you saw a lot of in the preeason. Hits the cutting heel and Y with the block. Watson has it stolen after almost turning it over in the back court, but great response to get the block cleaned up though by Butler. He’s got the last five for Golden State. Steph Curry in that second round series. The defense when Jimmy Butler came over was was pretty good. It got great when Butler came. They were the best defense in the league as Valen Jun is the new Nugget. Hits that one. Murray against the rookie Will Richard now on the switch. Horford’s got Murray. Murray spinning and firing and connecting. Beautifully done by Jamal Murray. Had some big games in the postseason for Golden State. Hardway after the fly by for Butler and Hardway gets the bounce. So he and Kane Johnson Golden State three of 14 from behind the arc. [Applause] Nice puck by Valenus. Spent last year with Washington and Sacramento before coming over to Denver this summer. Shot clock inside of 10. Murray goes to the left hand and banks it in. This guy is trying to get off to a great start this season. He has been a notoriously slow starter if tonight’s any indication. Oh, Jamal, you’re here early. Because we know he’s a great finisher. made a mistake defensively there and gives up the layup to heel. But every postseason Jamal Murray, his numbers go way up in the playoffs. Finds Valen Jones. What a feed. That’s six assists now for Murray. They talked about how well conditioned he was. He’s healthy again. Little hesitation to clear. And now let’s just watch him break down. Buddy healed. And then the little drop pass to M. Sensational. [Applause] Nice cut. Brown and Valenunis with a great pass that time. Murray with heel on his hip. Oh, splits the double. Post was coming over to help and then Murray gets the stick back off his own miss. Poland stayed back within one, which could be a big factor for the Warriors this year after he was out of the rotation at the end of last season. Gordon missed 30 games last year due to a calf injury. Went healthy. He played like an all-star for a good part of the year. 44% from three, a careerhigh, and five for five tonight. Joic setting a mini screen just blocking out defenders so Gordon can get open and hit his six. Steve Kur electing not to challenge that threeinute mark first half. Joic lets it fly. It’s good. A three for Joic. And two really smart dudes going at it in the post. Or spent the last four years with the Celtics. Aaron Gordon again, seven of seven from behind the ark. Denver was 10 of 20 from deep in that first half. Steph Curry one of five. He missed his last four after hitting a three to start the game. The floor and be opportunistic around the better players. Fits really well with this group. Four points in this game. Yic on the step for a great pass underneath and Aaron Gordon with another basket. Spinning and hitting is Cam Johnson. His first points in his first game with his new team. Not just the assist by Jayon, it’s the screen assists. [Applause] Jamal Murray has that one roll home. A hot start for Murray. Seven of 10 from the field. Green gets tangled up for a moment with Brown able to rip the ball away. Now Curry swatted away by Gordon. Pull up three. here. And Gordon, another one. He’s made nine straight shots. [Applause] Murray penetrates, hits the cutting Joic. And the runner goes down for Joic. He’s got 16. Check out 17 for Curry to go with six assists. All those assists came in the first half. Gordon on the back down. Aaron Gordon up to 32 points on the night. Side of the floor. He’s just going to play a little bully ball. Good patience by Aaron Gordon. Curry’s got the hot hand with 20 points. Lets it fly and he comes up way short and then Tim Hardaway Jr. left all alone on the other end. On the bench and their free throw rate is drastically different than him. Watson gets the block. He’s a really good defensive player in his fourth year out of UCLA. [Applause] Hardway hits the mid-range jumper. Think about the defensive play made in the first half. That great block out of nowhere. The three-point shooting. [Applause] One minute remaining now. Murray has got that down pat. Murray will hold for the final shot. He’ll try a step back and he gets the bounce with 9/10 of a second left. His priority has been to get off to a good start this season. There’s stretches this game. He’s carrying him. That’s great. Uh play fast, but things slow down when he’s on the floor for the rest of the work. This stays a possession game. You’ve got two great options to close with, Steph and he. Meanwhile, Hardway drills a three. Can you stay attached and close here? That’s why they went out. got balancing to give Yokic a breather as Bruce Brown spins and hits just Jamal Murray the number one option for Denver right now. 21 points and the pass inside to Gordon 34 now for Gordon and facing this zone. So Yonas was taken away both guys on the low sideline. Nice pass Murray Valenunis extra pass. Gordon hits another three. He’s nine of 10 from behind the arc and has 37 points. He just checked back into the game and he gives him a four-point cushion. Entry to Butler. Blocked by Valenunis. Denver looking to run. Brown takes it all the way. Missed the layup. Healed with the extra pass. Richard his three no good. Tap to Gordon. You have survived this stretch where Joic has been on the bench beautifully if you’re Denver. [Applause] Gordon on the step back. Tough shot, but he drills that one. He’s got 39. And and it has been Aaron Gordon. The three. We showed you the lob. And again, valuable minutes with Joic resting. Jimmy Butler getting a breather. Joic out there for Denver. And here’s Gordon going to work. Scores inside and a foul. This is Aaron Gordon’s 496th regular season game eight years ago. His level of aggression has been from the jump and he understand that strength and balance from Steph is real. In year 17, he’ll turn 38 in March. Nice look by Joic. That’s his ninth assist. So he’s one assist shy of a triple double. Pick that up. But this is his passing on the other end. You are coming off a timeout. You need a score. Looks like Jamal’s in the end. 20 years after Al Horford won a title at Florida. So on this team, they call him Little Gator as Cam Johnson knocks down the three. And they call Al Horford. Joic has the smaller Pajki on him and Joic takes full advantage of that matchup. His touches make him and look at the physicality. That touch from that ridiculous. in the history of basketball. And then misses right at the rim. Gordon, he’s been hot all night. Got another one. 10th three-pointer for Gordon. Denver takes the lead. And then I love this. Jamal had been handling it. They put it in the hands of AG who then Gordon fights through the double and scores plus a foul. Aaron Gordon with a chance to tie it at the line. He’s got 47. Gets between him and has the strength to get it off. I mean, look at that. He is absolutely mugged and route to the cup. Jookic calling for it. Goes at Green and scores over him to give Denver a two-point lead. Murray, the five starters for Denver on the court. Murray gets past Kaminga, hangs, and fakes it home. Tremendous re continues this ascension. This will be a team to reckon with in the West. Gordon all the way to the basket. He’s got 50. Not going to play back to backs at all this season. Eight-point game. Yokic for three. No good. The put back by Brown.

  1. Whole new world for the Nuggets and the rest of the NBA now that Jokic can actually take breaks and his team not go -10+ points every time.
A fresh Joker will hopefully lead to an epic year.

  2. There’s Jamal again when it matters he can’t pass the ball like a professional. Geeze his play grates on my nerves. Way to lose the game for your team Murray.
