Brewers manager on Ohtani’s historic Game 4

you’re part of tonight. An iconic, you know, maybe the best individual performance ever in a postseason game. I I don’t think anybody can argue with that. Guy punches out 10 and hits three homers.

Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy gives Shohei Ohtani his flowers for 3 home run, 10 strikeout performance in Game 4 of the NLCS for the Los Angeles Dodgers

  1. This guy is a real manager, he showed character, knowledge, experience and attitude towards his players and took them a lot further than people expected…the Brewers turned out to be a very good team, displayed, teamwork, team effort and Murphy, can't deny this; he was key in their success. …. On the other hand, Roberts, at 8.1 million a year, making close to six times Murphy's salary, but no glory and offering the owners nothing to deserve it. well… there's no honor winning the World Series or any game for that matter, with his performance…he could've stayed home and watch the Dodgers win without him…. the results would be the same….

  2. As a Brewers fan I'm not even mad either.

We were prepared to fight an uphill battle against the defending champs. Sure those regular season wins were promising but against a team with THE Shohei Ohtani, you can never be 100% certain of anything.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that we were obviously hoping to avoid a sweep but that game 4 being the nail in our coffin is somewhat comforting because I don't know another team in the league who would have survived against that kind of performance either.

Shohei might be the best to ever do it and this was a legacy game for him, one that will be in the history books and I am proud that the Crew was even able to be in the position to go toe to toe with an all-time great like him. We will be back next year to hopefully challenge him and the blue once more.

  3. Nothing to be ashamed of man. You had a hell of a season. Sometimes you run into the immovable object. Sometimes you run into the unstoppable force. On that night, you ran into both.

  4. Im really surprised about Billups but if you been watching the NBA you know Damon Jones and Terry Rozier are dumba$$ knuckleheads.. whatever they said they did they did 😂
